Chereads / Divine Seal of Chaos / Chapter 73 - Old Man Mesryth

Chapter 73 - Old Man Mesryth

"Who is it?" The old man's half-suppressed enranged voice boomed in Zhyho's ear. Just his voice alone is enough to quake the hearts of every youth and experts who accompanied them.

Aside from some of the Human Union and Fiend hunter alliance experts, everyone present within the 100-meter radius felt their heart palpitate for no reason.

Most of the youths and experts from the core region recognized him. Old man Mesryth, a powerful expert who destroyed 9 hidden seals and one of the Golden protectors of the Silver dragon domain.

Compared to other Golden Protectors he's weak, but there's a reason why his standing is similar to them. It's because of his spirit seal โ€” Horn of the Sea Dragon.

A unique spirit seal that's capable of harming or even destroying one's soul. In a battle among experts, his soul skills play a vital role.

Of course, his skills aren't invincible. Because once someone breaks through to the Seal opening stage, they can use their essence energy to protect their soul.

Meaning, a person doesn't have to be a soul master to block the soul attacks.

Even so, in front of a powerful soul master who specializes in soul skill, one can't keep on defending. Because soul mastery is not spirit seal cultivators forte.

Soul masters are weaker at spirit seal cultivation, so this slight advantage is enough to finish a soul master who lacks speed and strength.

The point is, soul masters aren't invincible and at the same time, spirit seal cultivators aren't vulnerable.

Of course, a person who excels in both Soul and Spirit seal cultivation is talented and unusual like Gin. This is also the reason why Old man Mesryth is dangerous.

He isn't a soul master but his unique spirit fills that gap. No one wants to mess with him unless they have a death wish.

Zhyho who was slapped heavily by Mesryth quickly sprang to his feet and once again rushed to the Mesryth's side, without minding the slap.

"Answering to Master Protector Mesryth, the person's name is Gin. It's him!" Zhyho bowed his head, pointing the index finger at Gin.

Mesryth's silver eyes locked onto Gin, while a pressure than transcended everything crashed down on him. As for the youths shielding Gin, they were naturally ignored.

Powerless before such a tyrannical pressure, Gin's knees hit the ground fracturing the surface beneath him and he soon coughed blood.

Even though Mesryth's target was Gin, the youths around him also suffered under the immense pressure. What they experience is nowhere near Gin, but sweat drenched their body while some screamed and collapsed to the ground.

Shaun and Luna suffered the most as they were closest to Gin.

Gin convulsed, the growing oppressive pressure forced him to all fours while his face was beet red and he had trouble breathing properly.

If it continues, his bones will soon break, muscles will tear, his skin would crack and he will die in the puddle of his own blood.

'This old man wants to pressure me to death!' Gin thought. If he doesn't do something soon, he will die.

He planned to stall for time until Luna's sister arrives, but his situation worsened when this Old man Mesryth came.

He thought at least one of the experts would voice their opinions, it looks like he over evaluated them. Yes, who would help someone who they aren't familiar with?

None intervened! Even the experts from the Human Union and Fiend Hunter Alliance minded their own business โ€“ watching the show in quietness.

Just as he planned to bargain his life using the transcended-grade technique, the magical symbol on his chest quivered a little. It blew thin strands of translucent energy that diminished the pressure crashing upon him.

Even though it didn't completely reduce the pressure, it gave him room to breathe. Squeezing the last bit of strength on his body, Gin raised his head and looked at Mesryth in his eyes.

His eyes were calm but deep inside it blazed in never seen rage while Mesryth perceived the meaning behind the intense look.

'If I get out of here alive today, I will flatten your entire family in the future.'

"You have to die!" Mesryth's hoarse voice reverberated in everyone's eardrums while his silver eyes turned sky-blue.

The reason why he hasn't directly killed Gin was because of the Human union's Suns watching the show. If not for them, he would have already erased the punny existence like Gin from the face of the planet.

But after seeing that look, he knows he has to annihilate Gin at all costs. Even if his actions offend the experts of the Human Union and Fiend Hunter Alliance.

Just as Mesryth was about to unleash his martial skill, a melodic and clear voice as that of angels sounded from distance.

"Bones-with-grey-hair, what are you doing out of the coffin prepared by your family? You have guts, trying to harm my little sister before my very own eyes."

Bones-with-grey-hair? All of them were staggered by the manner of address.

'Who has such courage?' Searching the origin of the voice, everyone saw an ethereal figure strolling towards them from the distance.

Mesryth stayed his hand, not because of the voice but by some kind of terrifying force that bound his movement.

The figure walked in the leisurely pace, but it's only in the eyes of the experts like Whitsword, Faust, and Mesryth. As for others, they just blinked and the figure was already before them.

An otherwordly beauty stood before everyone.

She's a young woman at the prime of her life, looking around 22 or 23 with an oval face, fair skin, and attractive pink lips.

The most captivating thing about her is two different colored mesmerizing eyes โ€“ violet left eye and silver-blue right eye. Her auburn, waist-length hair was tied into a complicated braid style which rose her beauty to another level.

She was dressed in a tailor-made, traditional, full-sleeves, floor-length, royal-blue gown with perfected silver embroidery printed around the lower hem of the dress. Except for her Lilly white fingers and head, her dress covered every inch of her body.

Beautiful silver earrings adorned with emerald pearls dangled on her ears while a pretty necklace draped across her neck.

Unlike the youths who lost their souls at the beauty, the experts were afraid of just taking a peek at her figure.

'What is she doing here?' All of them thought at the same time.

If one asked whom these experts of the human continent are most afraid of, they would utter the name 'Demoness of the Blue Orchid' academy.

They weren't even afraid of top experts like the president of the Human union or the Dean of the Rising dragon academy but she's different.

It's because her rise to fame is too fast and her way of handling things is too extreme. In fact, some of the powerful families have vanished from existence because of her.

She accomplished all this at the tender age of 20. Furthermore, some of the powerful experts know she's someone who discovered 11 hidden seals at the Physique enrichment stage.

So yes, all of them are afraid of her potential and strength.

It's been a few years since someone has last seen her. Just thinking about her current level of strength suffocated them a little.

None of the experts expected to see her again and that too in such a barren region. At that moment, a figure streaked past and hugged the beauty. It's none than Luna.

The female beauty hugged Luna, stroking her hair lovingly she asked: "How was your little adventure, Luna?"

"It's better than I thought, but the Fiends ruined everything," Luna replied, enjoying her sister's warm embrace.

Before the beauty could console her sister, old man Mesryth gathered his courage and spoke, "I apologize for interrupting your reunion Lady Moon, if you excuse me I need to avenge my grandson's death."

How could he let the killer of his grandson to remain alive? Just that thought enraged him to the core.

Garyx is the grandson he dotes the most as he's the one who awakened the spirit seal of Bluehorn family like him. Even though he has few grandsons, none can replace the position of Garyx in his heart.

But now, he's dead.

"This old bastard wants to kill the person who saved you?" The beauty asked, not sparing a glance at the Bones-with-grey-hair.

"Yes, he's the reason why we were able to defeat the Fiend minions with minimum loss. If not for him, most of us would have lost our lives.

Sister, don't let anything happen to him. He saved my life, I want to repay the favor."

Hearing Luna's words, the beauty sent a glance at Gin. After looking at him, she squinted, and then her expression shifted slightly into that of a shock and returned to normal in the next second.

Feeling the beauty's gaze, Gin felt naked as if she could peer into the very soul. He subconsciously used both his hands to block the beauty's view.
