Not caring about the youth named Adrin, Gin swept a glace at everyone and spoke: "I don't care what you all do but if any of you comes in my way of doing things, you will regret it."
"A Fiend group is marching towards us, they will arrive in 20 minutes. One, you can stay here and confront the Fiends by yourself."
"Two — join me and we all can fight the fiends together." Gin announced.
"Whoever wants to fight together, follow me; Others, you can either stay here to face the fiends or leave."
Adrin struggled with all his might but he neither could lift his body nor shake the foot pressing him to the ground which seemed as heavy as a mountain.
Stating his thoughts, Gin freed Adrin by raising his foot and walked away. Shaun's the first to follow Gin, while others stood on their spot without moving.
Before Gin's figure could disappear from their view, Luna ran towards his direction by bitting her teeth while Dea, Feal, Tish, and five other girls followed.
"Little sister Luna, why are you following the person who harmed me? Could it be in your heart, I am beneath him?" Adrin mumbled while hatred and jealousy penetrated his heart.
Today is his biggest disgrace, humiliated by unknown trash whom he didn't even know. Adrin clenched his teeth and coldly thought, 'I will definitely kill him, but only after I make him beg for it.'
Shortly after that, twenty other figures followed Gin's footsteps - the remaining 170-some humans stayed behind and decided to confront the Fiend by themselves.
"Who did he think he was? I don't know from which hole he crawled out from?" A youth sneered.
"He wants us to listen to his commands, what does he think of us?" Another youth commented.
"I am very happy that at least a few of you have followed me. I won't let anything happen to you. Just follow my steps, you will all be safe." After sprinting for 5 mins, Gin turned around and spoke to the 30 people.
"We have to be quick, the fiends will reach this place within 5 -10 minutes. There are thirty of us here, we will divide ourselves into 15 teams with 2 members in each team.
"Timing is very important, you need to lure the magical beast to this location within 10 mins. Don't get spotted by the Fiends, use these tall trees to your advantage. Go!" Gin announced.
"Be careful, everyone" Shaun warned.
Soon, all the teams scattered in different directions. As everyone heard the plans from Luna before, they at least know what Gin wants them to do.
--
Just after 6 mins, the Fiends arrived at the location Gin and others stopped by and divided.
The 500 some Fiends were led by stern-faced Fiend, Raz. He's a tall man reaching 7-feet, skinny, and had a meta club in his hands similar to that of a baseball bat.
"Boss, we should have reached the location by now but there's no trace of Drakfang or his group. I think there's something wrong, I have a bad premonition." A Fiend next to Raz suddenly warned.
As soon as he said those words, Raz stopped in his tracks and so was the other fiends.
"Bad-omen, can't you just keep your mouth shut." A Fiend roared. "Now something is going to happen."
"I trust Bad-omen's judgment. Everyone, be alert, and watch the surroundings." Raz spoke, gripping the hilt of the metal club.
The reason why most of the fiends escaped the previous assault of magical beasts was thanks to him. Even though some of the Fiends are annoyed, they all trusted Bad-omen's premonition.
Raz's ears slightly perked up, his eyes soon caught a leaf fluttering down to the ground. "Above!"
When the Fiends lifted their heads, they saw nothing but tall trees, thick branches, and red leaves; just some flimsy gaps enough to see the blue sky.
Before their eyes could catch Gin's figure, a trumpet-like sound caught their attention, and soon, a gigantic magical beast rushed towards their direction.
It was a 15 feet tall elephant, with a massive body; ash-black skin, thick and leathery. It has a long trunk, silver tusk with golden linings, and large ears.
The gigantic elephant creature didn't fear the fiends for their numbers, it charged forward by blowing a 'trumpet' cry. It looked aggressive and exuded an intimidating presence while the ground shook with each of its steps.
"Holy shit, it's huge! Thankfully, it's just a single beast. Haha, we can kill it in seco–" Before the Fiend minion could finish his domineering comment, they heard another powerful roar.
A large tiger emerged from the opposite direction of the elephant. It had burnished ocean blue thick fur all over its body with vertical black stripes. It looked no less intimidating with powerful claws and razor-sharp teeth.
No giving any time for the Fiends to react, the blue tiger pounced at the fiends. Even so, the Fiends had the number advantage.
Just fifty-some Fiends are enough to suppress and kill these beasts without incurring any loss. But, what they didn't know is, another 13 magical beasts racing towards them.
The fiends were effective, as within seconds they formed a formation and perfectly countered the magical beast attacks.
'Roar!'
Before the Fiends could relax and kill these two beasts, another magical beast approached them. Soon, fifteen magical beasts surrounded the Fiends and assaulted them from all directions.
What Gin found surprising is, none of these magical beasts attacked one another as if they are bosom friends.
As Fiends engaged in heated combat, Gin, Shaun, Luna, and other peoples in his group gathered in a tree some distance away from the battle.
"It's the perfect time to assassinate some of the Fiends at the outer edge. Like before, we are going to divide ourselves into two groups – one group will kill, another will seize their bodies." Gin announced.
Soon, the group of 30 divided themselves into two groups.
"Be careful, and don't be seen by others. We will only be launching three waves of attack, meaning a person is only allowed to kill three fiends." Gin said.
"Understood?" Gin asked while others solemnly nodded.
Shortly after, Gin and others launched their own attacks. The Fiends divided themselves into fifteen groups and fought the fifteen magical beasts.
As all the Fiends were immersed in a fight, they didn't notice when one of their companions at side went missing. But, during the third wave of the attack, some Fiends noticed the anomaly.
Even so, they couldn't do anything as they were in the middle of a battle. Now, the first part of Gin's plan could be considered a success.
After half an hour battle, the Fiends successfully killed all the magical beasts and seized the silver tokens but they lost more than 100 Fiends in the battle while forty-five magically disappeared.
Hearing the report, Raz nearly went mad. "How could more than forty of them suddenly disappear?"
"There's something wrong about this, we have to hurry and move forward. I will teach that bastard Darkganf a lesson once I meet him; It was all because of him." Raz stated.
The remaining 300-some Fiends buried their companions and friends and marched towards the direction of the other human group, without any rest.
What no one noticed is, Raz stealthily sending a message via his communication tool. "I think my group is getting targeted by the same force. Just now 15 magical beasts attacked us."
--
After successfully assassinating forty-five Fiends,
Gin and others in the group gathered in a cave found by Shaun. The Cave was quite big, enough for 200 humans to relax.
After destroying the forty-five fiend corpses seized by them, they took a short 5-mins break to replenish their lost energy. Even though none of them are physically fatigued, they were drained mentally.
Luring a magical beast without the Fiends knowing, soundless killing, and carrying the bodies under their keen eyes made them sweat and fatigued mentally.
"I thought only youths from your academy and Luna's can catch the signal you sent?" Gin asked Shaun. "How did peoples' from the other academies and regions came?"
"Some of the groups allied with others, while some joined on their way" Shaun replied, as even he didn't expect such a situation.
"How many from your academy came?"
"32,"
"On Luna's side?"
"40,"
"No wonder Luna wasn't able to control the crowd as more than a hundred of the arrived youths are from the different domains and academies." Gin mumbled.
He felt bad shouting at Luna, without realizing her dilemma. When he glanced at Luna, she was sitting alone, eyes brimmed with tears.
Gin went towards her, squatted down, and gently spoke: "I am sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you."
Luna ignored him but the tears she tried hard to hold, dripped from her eyelids and slid down her cheeks. "Go away, you are a bad person my sister told me about."
"Do you know what will others think if they see you sitting and crying in a corner?" Gin asked, taking a glimpse at the surroundings.
