Chapter 50 - You are also a Physique Cultivator?

As soon as they neared the entrance, the fiend named Zhyler took out an object which looked slightly different than the Array breaking tool used by the Ghost king-Rath.

Without wasting any time, he threw the object straight at the crystal-like substance protecting the ruin entrance. As soon as the object came in contact with the surface, an unbelievable scene happened.

Two large hands materialized from the object and tore the ruin entrance. The hands were so powerful, it directly ripped the crystal-like thing.

After tearing the protection, the two hands didn't stop and it proceeded even further. It even tried to tear the invisible barrier which was guarding the ruin!

What truly ridiculous is, it succeeded. Even though the hands weren't able to destroy the barrier, it tore a small opening enough for a hundred peoples to pass.

"Quick, it won't hold much longer. Enter fast." saying that Zhyler directly jumped into the crack.

Within no time, all the fiends entered the small opening. The fiends were quick and agile as if they practiced it for thousand times.

After a few seconds, the two hands couldn't hold the opening as it slowly scattered and the invisible barrier restored to its original shape.

"Retreat"

Noticing the Fiend minions have successfully entered the ruin entrance, Orfeo and Rath ordered a retreat.

Their responsibility is to create a pathway for the Fiend minions so that they can safely enter the ruin and acquire the item Fiend Lord wants.

The intense clashed only persisted for a minute, but during that time many lives are lost.

On the human side, apart from the Sun guardians, many suffered a serious injury while 100 some experts passed away.

On the Fiend side, aside from Fiends Kings and Fiend Generals, several commanders and Fiend Soldiers lost their lives.

Furthermore, of the 10,000 some Fiend minions only 6000 survived while the remaining 4,000 perished without knowing how.

It's definitely a huge loss to both sides, but Fiends suffered more than humans. Even so, they met their goal of sending their Fiend youths into the Ruins.

"Don't even think about it, no one getting away today!" The same arrogant moon guardian tried to pursue the retreating Fiends but he was stopped by Whitesword.

"Let them go! You are not their opponent and we don't want to lose more human lives." Whitesword spoke.

"They succeeded in their mission of sending the Fiend youths into the ruin. Take rest and be prepared, they will come back." Faust stated.

"Yes, only then the true battle begins." Whitesword gasped.

"What about the kids inside the ruin?" An aged Moon guardian asked.

"They are the sole rulers of their life, it's up to them to take care of it. It will be a good life lesson for them, I hope some of them mature inside." Guardian Faust spoke, showing no emotions.

"Don't know how many geniuses are going to perish this time?" Another aged moon guardian sighed.

"The continent has been peaceful for a long time, as even some of the experts forget the true horror of Fiends. Most humans nowadays hesitate to fight the Fiends, in fear of losing their lives and choose to flee."

Whitesword spoke while eyeing the human experts who all stood watching the battle as spectators, doing nothing.

Peoples like Zhyho, Jaux, Dean Alfin, all bowed their head in shame. It's true, the first thought that came to their mind when facing the fiends is 'how to escape?'.

For example, Jaux, when he was in his prime he vowed to eradicate all the fiends at sight. Now—he lost his will to fight, the resolution to protect his companions, he lost his purpose.

Al he wants to do now is, spend the time happily by training some juniors and pass away.

For Alfin, as soon as his future path got cut short, he buried his dreams deep within the heart.

True, everyone will have problems and difficulties, but it doesn't mean you can just casually break your ideals, promises, and resolution. If you did, then it means part of you already died with it.

"Why did they want to invade this ruin badly?" asked the female Sun guardian, whose face was clouded from other's prying gaze. From her gentle and melodious voice, one could tell she's a caring person.

"I don't know. But, I heard only after listening to the name 'Gravity mountain' the Fiend Lord showed an extreme reaction.

For an expert like him to lose such composure in front of so many Fiends, shows how important this ruin is!" Whitesword explained.

"Are you saying the Fiend Lord already knows about this ruin?!" The female sun guardian exclaimed.

"Yes, considering how mysterious the Fiend Lord is, it's not surprising. We all know how powerful each generation Fiend Lord is!" Whitesword spoke.

"Then it's definitely not some ordinary ruin! I noticed many of the Fiends who entered the ruin are peak Physique Enrichment practitioners, I hope nothing bad happens!" The female sun expressed her concern.

"No worries, some of the human youths who entered are also genius of this generation," Whitsword spoke.

"Did you inform the president about the current situation?" Faust suddenly asked.

"Yes, but I didn't receive any response. You know how it is!" Whitesword shook his head while Faust sighed.

In truth, aside from 1st sun and Vice president, no one know the Human Union President's identity. Even though all the 'Suns' have met the president, none saw his face clearly as it has always been covered by a translucent glow.

Since the president is so strong, no one dares to question him. It's no joke to suppress and bring most of the powers under his control as soon as he became the president.

It can be said the mystifying identity protects the president from encountering the assassination attempts of the fiends.

Even the late president of the human union fell victim to the Fiend assassination. Most of the human experts don't want the same thing to be happening again.

All the human experts who took part in the battle waited, pushing their body condition to peak by dressing their wounds and replenishing the lost essence energy.

Silence drenched the entire region. As soon as someone who entered the ruin comes out, the true battle will begin between Humans and Fiends.

----

Meantime, inside the ruin,

Gin stood at the base of the Gravity mountain, gazing at the fellows who were trying their best to persist and advance their way up.

Nearly 1,00,000 entered the ruin, most were currently climbing their way to the peak of the Gravity mountain while some were wandering around sightseeing like Gin.

Off the arrived people, most were youths but some grown-ups and middle-aged also came to test their luck.

Just looking at some of their expressions, he was sure they were facing something frightening as most were huffing and climbing at a snail pace.

"Brother, not climbing up?" A voice reached his ears.

Gin saw a youth smiling at him. From his attire, he confirmed the youth is a student of Rising dragon academy.

He looked the same as age as Gin, 6-feet tall, dark-brown hair, heart-shaped face, and black eyes. He was draped in a black coat with golden linings at borders; rising dragon academy logo printed on his chest.

"Planning to," Gin replied.

"Is this your first time to a ruin?" The youth asked.

"Yes, how do you know?"

"It's written all over your face,"

"Really?" Gn touched his face while the youth laughed.

"My bad, I am Shaun from Rising dragon academy." Shaun introduced himself and offered his hand.

"I am Gin from Heaven Fall academy." Gin shook Shaun's hand.

"If you don't mind, shall we climb together?" Shaun proposed and Gin agreed.

"Why are you alone? your friends are not climbing with you." Gin asked, curious.

"I don't have many friends. You looked loner like me so I approached you, I hope you don't mind!" Shaun spoke.

"Nope." saying that Gin mounted his first step.

As soon as he did that, a great force pressed him; A two-way pressure from the overhead and from the front. Gin felt like he was towing a large stone along.

When he scaled his next step, the pressure increased while he felt another huge stone fastened with the already towing stone.

'No wonder most were struggling hard to scale the steps' Gin pondered.

Even though the pressure was great, to Gin it was endurable. Within a minute he scaled 15 steps, only then he noticed Shaun was standing still while eyeing him with shock and surprise.

"What happened?" Gin asked.

"You are also a Physique Cultivator?"

"Yes, W-wait...what do you mean 'also'? Don't tell me you too?" Gin asked, stunned.

"You are right," Shaun replied. "It's like we were fated to meet!"

"Such a coincidence," Gin mumbled and also understood why Shaun said, he didn't have many friends.

"You didn't awaken your spirit seal?" Gin asked, believing Shaun was like him.

"No, I was born with a spirit seal" Shaun answered, "Pity, it was impaired one!"

Even though Shaun masked his sorrow well, Gin perceived it and can understand his pain very well.
