Gin was alone, absent-minded and his guard was down. It was the most opportune moment to launch a sneak attack and kill the target before he could defend himself.
Garyx knows, he has to make use of this golden chance properly; if he misses it, then they can only run as if their life depended on it. Because he wasn't sure whether he can persist under Gin's counter-attack or not!
If not for his powerful trump card, Garyx definitely wouldn't want to mess with Gin as he could sense a dangerous vibe from him. He felt the same way only when he faced some strong Seal opening stage practitioners.
"Are you guys ready?" Garyx asked in a hushed tone while the other two figures nodded their heads.
They already planned everything from start to end; who will attack first, where, what if the target managed to defend, and so on.
Garyx motioned his hands while the other two youths understood his actions, 'I am going to attack.'
Garyx's silver eyes turned Caribbean blue, while the two youths beside him saw a phantasm of two gorgeous spiraled horns sprouting out of Garyx's head.
The three youths soon came back to their senses as they knew it's just an illusion, not something real.
Horn of the Sea dragon! — a unique spirit seal, distinct to the peoples of Bluehorn family.
As a promising youth and grandson of the previous family leader of the Bluehorn family, he naturally inherited his ancestor's spirit seal and their talents.
"Sea Dragon's Fury!!" Garyx mumbled, and his blue eyes fixed at Gin's figure.
A blue light that shaped as of a small spiraled horn shot out from his head and zapped towards Gin; it was fast, like a blue streak of light.
"whizz!"
In a fraction of second, it reached Gin and plunged into his head. Gin, who was enjoying a leaf's beauty was startled by a sudden attack.
In fact, Gin was watching over his surroundings using the soul energy which covers everything within a 15-meter radius. When he detected the attack, it was too late as the attack was simply fast.
Another reason he couldn't block the strike was, it was a soul attack.
"Oh shit!!" Gin thought.
A 'bang' sound echoed while he felt something trying to pierce his soul. Gin soon noticed a half-transparent horn about 2 feet in length striving its best to penetrate his soul.
Even though the horn was half transparent, it was beautiful, dark green with a luster of jade and blue linings all over it.
The horn tried its best to penetrate his soul, but it was blocked by a protective barrier enclosing it. It was Gin's soul skill—Energy wall, a basic soul skill that protects his soul from harm, like now.
Failing to pierce his soul, the horn slowly waned and soon burst into tiny blue particles that were swallowed by Gin's soul, instead.
Accomplishing its task, the energy wall fractured into tiny pieces and disappeared, leaving his soul unguarded.
Gin was amazed by the effectiveness of the soul skill, 'Energy wall', and was also terrified at the same time. If not for his soul skill's perfect protection, his soul would have been severely injured.
'What a powerful soul attack!'
If he was a normal person without soul energy, he would have become stupid or worst, he would have gone crazy.
As Gin was inspecting his soul, Garyx's expression turned into full of smiles believing his soul skill has successfully damaged Gin's soul, heeding his stunned state.
"I succeeded," He didn't know why but he felt like he broke apart some kind of constraint and achieved a brand-new stage. 'No wonder father said killing geniuses improve one's cultivation to another level.'
"Garyx, look" A youth beside him disrupted his train of thoughts which angered Garyx to an extreme.
"What are you still standing here for? You idiots, go and kill him as we planned!" Garyx nearly went berserk, noticing his companions stupid look.
The plan was, following Garyx's attack they need to strike next. But the problem is, the opponent look perfectly fine and was even smiling at them.
As Garyx was indulged in his profound thoughts, he didn't notice Gin recovering from his shocked state. If he did, he would have already started running.
Garyx froze, heeding Gin was perfectly alright. The brand-new stage he achieved mentally begun to collapse, nailing him to the very bottom.
When he saw the smirk at his opponent's face, Garyx lost all his cool and entered a crazed state. He even forgot that he's not Gin's opponent. The only thing reverberating in his mind is, he has to kill Gin and achieve the stage he reached a few seconds before.
"Attack, kill him. I want him to die." Garyx hysterically yelled and dashed at Gin.
The two youths followed Garyx by unsheathing their weapons. They were bewildered by Garyx's sudden shift in emotion and why he didn't follow the plan he formulated.
There were a lot of steps in the plan, but Garyx didn't follow any steps and directly attacked Gin which he himself stated as, 'Stupid'.
Even though Gin was smiling, killing intent surged through his entire body. Garyx's action crossed his bottom line, attempting to kill him at all cost - even resorting to a sneak attack.
Gin's eyes turned sharp, slinging the red leaf in his hand, he welcomed the attacks of Garyx and two of his companions.
Garyx's fist shone with ice blue energy, emitting a chilling sensation. His silver eyes were devoid of clarity and looked crazed as if he lost his intelligence and wit.
Behind him were his two companions, but they didn't directly confront like Garyx and instead divided, attacked him from two different directions.
Both of them uncovered 9 hidden seals, just a step away from reaching the Seal opening stage while Garyx discovered 10 hidden seals.
Before Garyx's fist could strike his face, Gin effortlessly grabbed his icy hand which sent a prickling sensation through his skin as if his hands were slowly freezing.
"Bang!"
Kicking at Garyx's stomach, he dodged the throwing knife by ducking his head and heard 'Swish' sound travel past him.
If not for his soul energy constantly observing everything within a 15-meter radius, he couldn't have evaded the throwing knife with such ease.
Garyx who was kicked by Gin raised to his feet and wiped the blood at the corner of his lips. Unlike before, his eyes returned to clarity.
He didn't know why he lost his cool a moment ago. Something in the deepest part of his soul kept on chanting, that he has to kill Gin if he wants to rise above all.
"Kill, Kill, Kill..." the devilish like voice kept on resonating in his mind. If it wasn't for Gin's kick, which shook him to the core, he didn't know what would have happened to him.
Just thinking about it terrorized him. 'Thankfully, I am back to normal!'
Gin noticed the knife wasn't thrown by Garyx's two companions, but by the third person who emerged from the shadows of a tree.
Without a doubt, he's Garyx's fouth companion who lay in wait for the perfect moment to attack. But, he didn't expect his attack would be evaded and that too, aimed at such a blind spot
Not just him, Garyx and the other two companions also couldn't follow, How Gin avoided such a perfect sneak attack which he couldn't even see?"
'How was he able to elude my soul attack 'Sea Dragon's Fury' and this perfect sneak attack?' Garyx racked his brain but he couldn't find the key.
At that moment, a sudden thought stuck Garyx which even terrified him. 'Could it be he's a soul master? Yes, it's possible!'
'No wonder...If he's a soul master then everything can be explained, how he was able to escape my soul skill and sneak attack of Bryn.'
"Hahaha, You have hidden your talents too well. You are a soul master, am I right?" Garyx suddenly laughed and asked.
Hearing Garyx words, Gin's eyes narrowed. 'How did he find out?'
Perceiving Gin's reaction, Garyx smirked: "Looks like my words are spot on!"
"Yes, you are correct. So what if you know?" Catching Gin's nonchalant response, Garyx froze.
"Yes, what if I know?" As he was in a detective mode, Garyx forgot everything, even his current plight.
Not giving him any time to react, Gin flashed towards Garyx at inhuman speed and sent a punch to his face.
Since Yirene told him to keep it a secret, he will try his best to keep it that way. As Garyx knows he's a soul master, he has to die.
Even though he's strong, he can't guarantee Garyx pulling any trick and escape from his hands. If he escapes, then it would be disastrous.
That's the reason Gin targeted him first.
Before his punch could smash Garyx's head to a pulp, a throwing knife approached his wrist. If he doesn't evade the knife, it would definitely pierce his hand.
If it was a normal knife, he will ignore it but he sensed an impending danger from the black knife while its sharpest point had a greenish tinge around it.
"The Knife is poisoned!" Perceiving this, Gin quickly evaded the strike.
