"If we want to leave this place, we need to cross this beast garden but the Fiend's want out tokens' so they won't let us cross smoothly."
"We can only prepare ourselves, a battle with Fiends is inevitable," Gin stated.
"I understand but our strength and numbers are insufficient for a direct clash." Shaun expressed.
"I can make the students of Blue Orchid academy come to us," Luna said and broke her communication bracelet.
"I too will try, but I can't guarantee whether they will come or not!" Shaun spoke and did the same thing as Luna.
"Will breaking the communication bracelet let them know your location?" Gin asked, doubtful.
"Yes, destroying the communication bracelet will send an emergency radio wave which will directly alert my companions within a 100 Km radius," Shaun explained.
"Does my communication bracelet also has this function?" Gin asked, curiously inspecting his communication bracelet which he was using it for the last three years.
"No, mine was a special product given to all the students of the Rising dragon academy. It's the academy's way of protecting the students if they encounter any trouble."
"Oh!" Gin understood.
"How many students from the Raising Dragon academy came with you?" Gin asked.
"...including me 106 students" Shaun replied.
"How many on your side?" Gin asked Luna.
"110,"
Gin pondered for a moment and said, "The Fiend named Raz reported his status in the communication tool."
"After engaging in a battle with a magical beast group, the number of Fiends in his group has reduced to 400 while 200 lost their lives and another 400 fled in different directions."
"The Fiend named Zhyler ordered him to travel south-east to reach our location, they will come in this direction." Gin spoke and pointed his fingers in a particular direction.
"Our advantage is, we are in dark while the Fiends are in the light. We can use the surroundings to our advantage, set traps, prepare an ambush, or any tricks that will let us win."
"Our only disadvantage is our numbers, while our enemy has 400 fiends on his side. Who knows their number may even increase as some of the fled fiends may regroup on their way."
"Why do we have to fight, can't we escape?" Feal hesitantly asked. Her job is to protect Luna from any danger, she will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
"We can only fight, if we don't make use of this opportunity well, none of us can leave this ruin alive when all the Fiends regroup into one!" Gin solemnly stated.
"What are we going to do?" Luna asked.
"First, we need to scout this area thoroughly and see if there's any useful things around us – magical beasts, a perfect place for an ambush, etc."
"Forget the direction that fiends will arrive and scout the other areas within 10 mins range." Gin told. Soon, everyone picked a direction and went to explore.
--
20 mins later, the six gathered after searching the area around them.
"I found three magical beasts resembling that of a tiger, it looked strong and powerful. Apart from that, nothing caught my eyes." Luna spoke first.
"I found the same type of bear we fought and a small cave 5 mins from here, hidden from other's sight," Shaun spoke, "A perfect place to conceal ourselves."
"I found..."
Soon, everyone shared what they found within 10 mins range.
"Good! we will make the cave found by Shaun as our hideout if we encounter any danger. Our first wave of attack should be luring the magical beast towards the Fiends."
"Since the Fiends were already attacked by the magical beast group, they won't doubt us."
"The magical beasts here are strong so it will take some time to all of them. In that time frame, we will assassinate the Fiends at the outer edge of the group."
"At the least, we need to get rid of 50 Fiends. After the first attack, we have to prepare an ambush."
"Naturally, they won't fall for it, as the magical beast attack would have raised their vigilance." Gin explained.
"With our numbers defeating them is not possible, we can only hope our help will arrive sooner," Luna commented while Gin agreed.
"The Fiends may appear any minute, we need someone to watch the direction they may come," Shaun said.
"I will do that, you guys stay here to receive your friends. Don't wait below, hide yourselves up in the tree branches." Gin said, pointing his finger at the sky.
"If your friends come, explain the plan and wait for my signal. Luna, Shaun, you two will be in charge to manage other groups." Gin spoke and raced towards the direction the fiends will come.
--
After 30 some minutes, Gin, who was hiding in a large tree branch heard some slight noises and picked vibrations like that of a mini quake.
Gin knows the Fiends have arrived; he soon noticed a large number of Fiends marching towards his direction.
Unlike in the reports, the number of Fiends in the group reached whooping 500. Wasting no time, Gin raced towards the direction of his group.
Within 10 minutes, he reached the spot but was dumbstruck by what he saw. Unlike before, the place was jammed with human youths; the number reached 200.
Seeing them didn't make Gin happy, but angered him. Because all the youths were happily chatting with each other, like that of classmates meeting after a long time.
He soon appeared next to Shaun and asked: "Shaun, what's happening?"
"Ai, I anticipated this will happen."
"You didn't tell them about the plan and about fiends who were marching towards us?" Gin asked.
"You think I didn't?" Shaun bitterly smiled, "They didn't believe me."
"Only after Luna showed the communication tool they believed, but it didn't diminish their confidence and arrogance. They are very confident in defeating the Fiends head-on." Shaun seriously spoke.
"Really?" Gin asked with rising anger. "It's more like they are waiting for their death."
"I think overconfidence reached their head, there's no way in hell they will listen to the words of people like us. We can't believe in these fools, it's up to us to stop the Fiends!" Shaun expressed his thoughts.
Gin heaved a huge sigh, the reason why he left Luna in charge was that he thought she will be able to handle the bunch using her sister's reputation but he underestimated the pride and arrogance of these genius youths.
Gin walked towards Luna's direction and beckoned her to come.
"What's happening here?" Gin asked as soon as Luna reached his side.
"I-i explained the situation but they didn't listen to me and said, they will protect me." Luna meekly responded.
"I thought you are some kind of genius considering your sister's strength, but it looks you are just a waste who lives of your sister's reputation." Gin harshly reprimanded.
"What did you say?!!" Luna fumed but soon her anger was replaced by tears. It was the first time someone scolded her this hard, not even her sister has yelled at her before.
"How dare you to make our Little sister Luna cry?" A youth dressed in the Blue Orchid academy jacket bolted towards Gin and grabbed his collar.
"What did you say to little sister Luna? Apologize!" The youth demanded. The disturbance drew everyone's attraction, but none intervened they just watched the show.
All the youths present here know Gin from the little uproar he caused at the Gravity mountain; all they want to see is Gin humiliate himself.
Displaying his talent before them is like thrashing their faces, how could they tolerate someone who's better than them.
"Take your hands off my collar or face the consequences." Gin chillingly spoke.
"Oh, Come on, show me what can you do? I am definitely not taking my hands off your collar!" The youth scorned.
"Brother Adrin, leave him be," advised Luna. Maybe others don't know, but she was clear about Gin's strength. If she's not wrong, none of the geniuses here is Gin's match.
At the same time, the three girls—Dea, Tish, and Feal—looked at Adrin with pity as they know Gin's strength pretty well.
"As you wish," Gin replied and sent a punch at Adrin's abdomen.
The punch was fast and in such a close range, Adrin felt the punch is unblockable as helplessly watched the punch struck his abdomen.
'Bam!!'
Adrin felt like his stomach was rammed by a high-speed car, while everything inside his stomach turned upside down.
Unable to bear the pain and impact, he staggered back three steps and eventually, fell to his knees and coughed blood in bits.
Two of his friends rushed to Adrin's side and caught him before he collapses to the ground. One of them took out a small vial from his pocket and fed it to Adrin.
Soon, color returned to his face and the intolerable pain slowly faded away. Before he could relax, a foot kicked and pressed him to the ground.
"Y-you..." The two youths wanted to strike Gin but decided against it, noticing his sharp look.
