Chapter 46 - Ruins

Evening, Inside Gin's room.

"Dean, how's Zev? Is he okay?" Gin asked.

"Yes, thanks to your potion" Dean smiled. "How's your injury?"

"Just need a good night rest then I will be back to my perfect state in the morning."

"Good, because tomorrow you are going to explore the ruin which was recently discovered in our Silver mist region."

"...the one mentioned by that person named Zhyho?" Gin asked while Alfin nodded.

"I thought only peoples from the core regions are allowed inside?" Gin asked.

"Who said so? Anyone beneath the 'Seal Opening' stage can go inside. If you are up for it, you can go no one will stop you."

"It's a precious opportunity for you to meet and get to know the peoples from core regions; their strength, combat styles, martial skills, etc."

"Use this chance well. Less than three months remain until the Contest of the gifted ones, I hope this exploration may present you a way to break through to the 'Seal opening' stage." Dean Alfin emphasized while Gin promised that he will join the ruin exploration.

"Dean, I want to ask you about the last strike that I used to defeat Rodrix. It felt completely different and inexplicable!"

"I know, it's called Fistforce. When one's understanding of their Fist strike reaches a new realm, they will comprehend a strange force. Not everyone's lucky as you."

"Even some veteran experts in the 'Seal Destruction' stage fail to grasp this force. This kind of thing is sought by many but obtained by only a few."

"Fistforce!" Gin silently clenched his fist and was amazed by Alfin's explanation.

"Don't be too quick to celebrate, you just felt its mysteriousness. You haven't thoroughly comprehended your Fistforce, it takes time and effort."

"I know you will be curious, so I brought a book which explains in detail about Fistforce. Here, I also brought some books related to ruin exploration which may be of some help to you." Dean Alfin handed him 6 solid books.

"Thanks, Dean"

"Rest well, we will depart before daylight." Dean Alfin notified and left his room.

--

As soon as Alfin departed, Gin took the books and began to read them. It took him 2 hours of immersed study, to fully grasp the knowledge contained in them. After closing the last book, he envisioned everything he read about Fistforce.

Fistforce is a kind of mysterious force a person develops, as his comprehension about Fist attacks reach a certain realm.

Once someone comprehends a fist force, their attack will be ten times more powerful and carry a strange force that can be of anything.

For example, it can be a blazing force, corrode, tyranny, and so on. In Gin's case, as his martial skill name 'Fist of Destruction', his fist carries a destructive force.

Furthermore, it's not limited to fist. One can develop this strange force distinct to their specialty. A sword user may comprehend 'Sword Intent', an agile person may comprehend leg force, etc.

Like Dean Alfin said, it can be sought but not obtained by everyone. He needs some time to familiarize and thoroughly comprehend a Fistforce particular to him.

Next is Ruins,

Ruin can be anything; a tomb, a heritage site or a prank set for amusement. But, one thing is universal among them: 'Danger!'.

Experts of Human union divided the ruins into different levels by their danger level, gains, and probabilities of death—ranking from 1-star ruin to 5-star ruin.

5-star ruins are the most dangerous among all the ruins; Even Seal Destruction masters may die if not careful.

Before the technology evolved into a new era, humans had no way of discovering the ruins which were either sunken under the ground or concealed from other people's eyes.

Thanks to recent technology growth in the last 20 years, the researchers were able to discover many hidden ruins and it's secret. The results astounded everyone in the world.

As the history and age of ruins dates back to 100,000 years—yes, you heard it right!.

At first, no one knows about the exact details and who left these ruins behind. After countless years of research, only recently some experts got a clear idea behind the ruins.

Since its a top-secret information, only some high-level echelons of core regions know about it. The books Gin read also didn't mention anything.

Ruins have inheritances left behind by some powerful peoples. Anyone can lose their life in a second as the danger level is extremely high in ruin.

But, if one's luck is good, the gains and experience they will get can't be weighed with a price. A single runic exploration can change one's life completely.

In Ruins, fortune and danger coexist together.

Anything obtained from the ruins has unimaginable value; be it martial skills, breathing techniques, treasures, Alchemy ways, and so on.

In recent years, multiple ruins were discovered thanks to the latest technology. Due to that, numerous powerful peoples began to emerge on the continent.

The information contained in the books excited Gin very much. He now looks forward to tomorrow's ruin exploration and what kind of powerful martial skills and treasures he may find inside.

"I hope this ruin may help me in a breakthrough to the next hidden Physique seal." Recently Gin's strength reached a bottleneck.

It's been a few days since he opened his 7th hidden Physique seal but his strength didn't even progress a little. He felt his entire body is stuffed and he wasn't able to digest the excess essence energy contained inside his body.

But after today's fight, Gin plan on changing his practice method. Before today, he always exhausts his body with training and stuffs it with essence energy.

It was a good method and it worked well but it's not suitable for the long run. As he could already feel the after-effects.

The mistake he did was, there's no sequence to his training method, he blindly did what he thought of as best. It affected his body from further strengthening the process.

From this day forward, he's going to follow a method he recently thought of —a systematic way of training his body—strengthing it layer by layer from the core to surface.

At the first layer – he will strengthen his bone marrow and bones.

In the second layer, he will strengthen his different body parts like heart, veins, lung, liver, spleen, and so on.

In the third layer, he will strengthen his muscles and skin.

It's a tedious process but Gin has to follow these steps if he wants to uncover more hidden physique seals.

Just training and hard work are not enough, he needs external support like potions and elixirs. Some unique and precious herbs that may help him to concoct some exceptional potions such as Marrow strengthing potion, Bone strengthing potion, etc.

For that, he needs money and a trusted source. He already used half of the Elemental stones he received from 'Battleborn' arena, while he got 1200 elemental stones from Dean for selling his potions.

In total, he has 1700 elemental stones on him, which is definitely not enough. He needs huge capital. If he finds some invaluable items in the ruin, it may pave a bright path for him.

Early Morning,

Dean Alfin and Gin were traveling by a huge magical beast, who's none than Ria - Golden-tailed fiery bird.

Today, Gin was dressed in dark-blue combat clothes which he brought three days back along with a First-class knife. He purchased it from the Ranker site, and it took him a total of 22,000 Ranker credits.

His combat suit is an advanced item, made from the skin of Magical beast with 3-cores. It was a pricey one, but it's comfy to wear and capable of protecting him from some strikes of the Peak Physique Enrichment stage.

"Gin, in the ruin you will meet numerous peoples from core regions; It's best if you keep your distance away from them."

"Most of them would look harmless, but they won't hesitate a second to take your life if you have something they want. They are the type of peoples who you can't reason with."

"I know you are a clever and farsighted person; so are they. It's just you haven't met people who are scheming and shrewd to the heart."

"Anyway, it's a kind of experience for you. Be cautious, don't trust anyone!" Dean Alfin solemnly stated while Gin nodded.

After 15 minutes of travel, they arrived and crash-landed some distance away from the ruin's location. Surprisingly, its a place Gin recently visited - Northern Wasteland.

"What?" Dean Alfin asked, noticing Gin's blank look.

"It's where I completed my ranker exam, Dean. I remembered some old memories, even though it's only been four months." Gin chuckled.

"Dean, why did we land some distance away from the ruin site?" Gin asked.

"Some of the peoples from core regions have a bad impression about me. You may probably be killed if you follow my back." Dean Alfin grinned.

"Then, I better go alone. Bye, Dean." Gin spoke and swiftly disappeared like he was afraid of being spotted with Alfin.

Gin's action stupified Alfin for a moment and at the same time, amused by his antics. 'This damn kid,'
