Chapter 54 - The older sister, Robin

Outside a tiny bakery located in the city of Fintan, Robin and Callie both stood staring at its cute wooden aesthetic. The streets were filled with people setting up stalls and preparing shops for the oncoming day that was ahead of them. Robin hugged her sister goodbye before pushing her into the bakery, and with the sun rising up behind her, Robin left to go and find Fishy.

She walked around with the smell of all the fresh products in the air. The flame grills fired up as the Fintan Market prepared for another busy day, stocking shelves with fresh fish, fruits, meats and even random nick-nacks. The market was the city's pride.

Robin walked with the safety of the city protecting her, eventually coming to the outskirts of the forest. A small empty open area before the forest began. The area was set up with several low down benches and a tiny fence that enclosed an arena like area. Inside these fences, was the person Robin was looking for, Fishy.

Fishy, along with Ziu, were training early in the morning. The two of them wielded wooden swords as they slashed and countered each other's moves. The two leapt around the area, aware of their entire surroundings. It was a match that would end as soon as one person got hit, but that was yet to happen. Robin watched as she attempted to keep up with their speed and reflexes but it was useless. They darted around, using the full tiny area they gave themself, but eventually, it ended up with Ziu whacking his wooden blade against Fishy's bare leg.

"God damn it…" Fishy collapsed to the grass to catch his breath. "It feels like you've gotten stronger since we got back from Tanba. As if you can see my moves clearer."

"I could say the same about you. You've gotten better at reading my movements and catching my fake-outs."

The two fought with unrivalled intensity but were close friends who helped each other up and shook hands at the end of each morning training session.

"I feel like you should cut your hair…" Fishy told Ziu as he looked at his spiky white flame tipped hair. "Perhaps it may affect your combat?"

"I've tried cutting it, it grows back too quickly."

"Can you two stop talking about hair?" Having watched the battle and their friendly exchange, Robin decided to walk over with her arms tightly crossed. An annoyed expression painted on her face, and her eyes unable to meet the people she spoke to.

"What can we do for you, Robin? I hear Callie is with Tin."

"Y-yes… I just wanted to thank you for everything… for these clothes and taking care of us."

The two sisters were given light clothing that Clara thought they would look good in. The modern-day clothes they used to wear were thrown in the wash and given replacements. Of course, since all of Fishy's clothing designs were also from his world, they still wore similar clothes.

"They look good on you," Fishy said whilst Ziu still stood next to him, feeling an awkward conversation brewing.

"Well, I should be going, gotta teach the new newbies."

"Oh, wait!" Fishy grabbed his arm, pulling him back, "I should introduce you two formally. This is Ziu, he's in charge of our army. He may look young but he's a year older than me. And he's nothing like when we first met… his enthusiasm kinda drained when he started hanging out with me. I've been told I have that effect on people."

"Right… Well, it was a good fight. I'm going" Ziu ran away, escaping Fishy's grasp and leaving Robin and Fishy alone.

"So, what's up?" Fishy turned to Robin.

"Oh… I just wanted… I just wanted to ask if you would show me around the city… I was harsh on you at first and it's only right that I apologise…"

Fishy listened and tried to work out where the apology was, eventually giving in and realising she was just too shy to say it.

"It's no problem. It's almost 7 so we'll start then. I want to have a quick shower to get rid of all the sweat."

The city had a public bath and most houses had a bath inside them, but a shower was something that they didn't have. Fishy requested one but Silmor was unable to complete it and added it into the backlog. So, Fishy just pours a cold bucket of water over his naked body in his bathroom.

With the sun now up, and the village being fully awake and ready, Fishy was ready to show Robin around his pride and joy, that was the city of Fintan.
