Fintan Village quickly grew. More and more houses were under development and more public areas were opened to increase tourism. Fishy brought with him all the ideas from his old world and reintroduced them here. From a public swimming pool and spa to a modern gym and casino. Fishy tried to accommodate for everyone, whilst still keeping the fantasy feel he wished his village to have.
As one would expect from the leader, he was training constantly. And when he wasn't training, he sat opposite an unnamed girl who rolled around in her red blanket like a cat, playing and clawing at it whilst staying in the confines of her room that was protected from light, for that was what she liked best.
"No matter what she does… she's kinda cute…"
The girl played around Fishy but the moment the door opened and someone walked in, she darted underneath a table or behind a chair. Because of this, her room was designed so she could hide easily. She was yet to say a word to anyone and only interacted with Fishy when he was alone.
"You have really strange eyes…" Fishy said as he got closer to inspect them, pulling apart soft cheeks to check if they were real.
The girl didn't know how to react to someone touching her. So she did what a sensible person would do. With what looked like a light kick, ended up sending Fishy flying across the room, breaking the bookshelf which was empty as they were yet to have any use for it.
"Don't get me wrong," Fishy said, digging his way out of the rubble. "I'm no pervert."
She looked at Fishy, shocked as he stood up to defend himself even if it seemed as if there was no truth in his words.
The girl had no reason to believe him and covered her flat chest with her hands, aware of Fishy's intentions.
"You must know how cute you are, right?"
Fishy continued his approach with his hands out in front of him. Approaching like a savage beast that was deprived of sexual contact his whole life, and as if this was his only way to get it.
"I have chocolate…" He held out two small lumps in his hand, causing the girl to keep up her cat act and slowly approach on all fours whilst sniffing his hands.
"There we go… We really should think of a name..." Fishy said, patting her short blonde hair as she nibbled on them.
"MY LORD!" Interrupting from outside, Ziu smashed open the door charging into the girls dim room.
"What is it? Can't you see I'm busy with more important matters?"
Ziu looked down at Fishy's lap and saw the girl stare back at him, slowly eating whilst shifting as far away from the door as she could. As if a wild predator was protecting its food from a larger creature whilst trying to check for an escape route.
"We are being approached by giant reptiles!"
"GIANT REPTILES!" Fishy jumped up, knocking the girl off who was more interested in the chocolate. "WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO SOONER!"
Fishy ran out the door leaving Ziu behind to awkwardly stare at the girl before politely taking his leave.
He ran up to the edges of the village alongside Fishy and looked towards the oncoming stampede of giant lizard-like creatures kicking up the ground as they ran with spastic legs.
"It's the druids…" The elder spoke as he rested on the dirt next to them.
Fishy listened whilst looking. Using magic, he was able to see further into the dust clouds they were kicking up and saw banners with symbols he read about in books. The symbol of the lizard, the druids.
"What do they want?" Ziu said.
"No idea…"
Clara looked from behind Fishy, looking more at him than at the oncoming possible threat.
"Hey Ziu…" She whispered. "Is he alright now?"
"I think so… I can't really remember what happened. But he seems similar to before... maybe slightly different? Let's just never bring it up."
The small army stopped as Fishy stood with the village behind him. He tried not to flinch as the lizards grew in size as they got closer. Showing how big they truly were, facing Fishy at eye level.
He wanted to come off as being a fearless leader. Except, he could hardly contain his excitement about meeting real-life druids.
"WOW!" He screamed as he examined everything about them. From their dirty clothes and long hair to their powerful presence. He even looked at the lizards that were covered in several plates of armour for protection.
"Act normal," Clara said, hitting her leader on the head to make him act as he should be.
"Sorry…"
Everyone in the village had their eyes locked onto the lizards. The fierce faces of the lizards looked as if they were licking their scaly lips, ready to devour everyone whole.
"Apologies for the messy arrival." A posh sounding, uptight voice called from behind several layers of lizards. "I don't mean to scare you. I just want to talk."
As the voice walked closer, the lizards parted as if they were the ocean. Moving sideways without being told as they let an old man walk down. He walked down with a brown robe being dragged across the ground behind him, uncaring of the dirt it grabbed. His face was dressed with a large puffy beard. His status was made clear to everyone as they quickly bowed. If the crown on his head didn't make it obvious, everyone was now aware they were talking to the king.
"Please, there's no need." He said with tense shoulders. "I come to speak as equals."
