The city was filled with various market stalls, draped in rich colourful cloth to keep their products in the shade from the harsh sun. The floor was refined of the same sandstone that created the walls and buildings. Water ran down two tiny little paths on the side of the road. Despite it being in the centre of the desert, the water was crystal clear, reflecting the infrequently cloudy sky.
Each structure was built out of sand or sandstone. Each one was a marvel and designed to keep the heat out and the cold in. They were escaping from the sun. The citizens all covered their heads and body in baggy clothes, walking and talking to each other as the market stalls were busy. Kids were running around without their parents, and no one was bothered or even cared. The kids helped a young artist engrave designs into the side of the walls. Beautiful and detailed patterns of flowers and clouds.
