They all reached the kitchen and started wearing aprons prepared for them by Butler Liu as well
Xiu Ying and the second boy was the most excited as well as the best out of the four in making sweets as they love them a lot
Xiu Ying first started on the batter with the two boys helping as well but Xiu Ying got tired of stirring the batter
So Xiu Ying called out to her granddad, "Grandad! Come help me stir the brownie batter pleaseeeee" in a cute tone and facial expression
Huang Hoshi sighed in helplessness knowing fully that this granddaughter of his was using her charm so she can get help but even knowing he still always fulfilled his dear granddaughter's wish
Huang Hoshi stretched out his hand and replied back, "sure Ying'er let me help you then"
He grabbed the bowl and started stirring the brownie batter while the kids were watching him
After another 5 minutes of mixing he put down the bowl and announced, "young ones, the batter is done"
Xiu Ying was excited and said, "yay! Thank you Granddad, I wanna pour the batter into the pan!"
The boys and Hoshi all doted on Xiu Ying so they agreed to let her pour the batter knowing fully she was going to ask for help later as this was the routine when they make sweets like today they were making brownies
Xiu Ying started pouring the batter holding the bowl in her small hands
Although 8 years old, she has a late growth spurt so right now she is shorter and looks like a cute little doll making everyone fall for her charms with her cute innocent doe like eyes and charming smile
Like predicted, not even 30 seconds passed, Xiu Ying whined a little then spoke, "can someone please help me? The pan is heavy" showing puppy dog eyes to make anyone in the room help her
"I will help you Xiao Ying" said the older one of the two boys
"Thank you onii chan*" Xiu Ying said
"Your welcome Xiao Ying" the young boy said patting her head before pouring the rest of the batter into the pan
"Young ones, when you speak, use one language and not always keep mixing them up ok?" Butler Liu tried telling them that the form of addressing each other is using two different languages but nonetheless they pretended they did not hear a thing since they wanted to practice the other's language by speaking each other native language
Butler Liu could only sigh at the kids stubbornness
Huang Hoshi, on the other hand, just laughed and shook his head while watching the children
After 30 minutes, the brownies were done and because they are only children, Hoshi took the brownies out of the oven to be somewhat involved in the making of the brownies
After another 5 minutes of cooling down, Hoshi then cut the brownies into pieces and gave each child a piece while saving sternly with affection, "young ones, you are only allowed to eat one a day got it?"
The three young kids who were eating brownies nodded their heads before finishing the brownie
Xiu Ying was the first to speak, "onii chans let's go and play in the backyard! I want to go onto the swings!"
The two boys, who always doted on Xiu Ying, nodded and all three went to the playground with Butler Liu and Hoshi following them a few meters behind while watching them run around and play with each other
Xiu Ying was playing on the swings while the two boys were chatting when she accidentally fell and scraped her knees and was tearing up. She called out to the younger boy as she saw him running up to her first,
"Br-brother *sob* Ri-*sob* ku it *sob* hurts"
"Xiao Ying, it's ok Brother Riku is here, let me see your knee ok?" Young Riku replied to her in a gentle and warm tone but hints of worry was in both his expression and voice as well
The other young boy rushed to Butler Liu instead and said in a panting voice, "Butler Liu! Xiao Ying fell down the swings! Can you get the medical kit?"
"I will grab it right now Young Master Suzuki, please lead Master Huang to Xiao Ying" Butler Liu replied then turning on his heels to get the first aid kit in the mansion
The elder of the two boys, Young Master Suzuki, first met with Hoshi who was near the young boy and both hurried over to Xiao Ying who was still sniffing and sobbing lightly while in Young Riku's embrace
Young Riku was trying to comfort the young girl while saying, "there there Xiao Ying, Brother Riku is here, the pain will go away soon ok?"
Young Xiu Ying at the time however could only nodded while lightly sobbing and his skin was very sensitive and since it got scraped a small amount of blood was seen and it was a very glaring color on her pale skin. Even if you were to be a few feet away while she was in Young Riku's embrace you could still see the scrap on her knee as it was a very contrasting color to her pale skin
Hoshi rushed over and picked up Young Xiu Ying so she was now lying in her granddad's embrace. Hoshi's heart ached as he treated the young girl as his precious princess and seeing her in pain makes him in pain as well. He gently patted her back while saying
"It's ok Ying'er, it will be alright, Granddad is here see?"
The young girl just nodded while staying in the warmth of her granddad's embrace while waiting for Butler Liu to come with the first aid kit
Not even 2 minutes later Butler Liu came rushing back with the first aid kit and started treating Young Xiu Ying's wound while the two young boys tried their best to distract her with her being in her granddad's embrace still.
