Cheers and clapping follow in suit as finally the host announced her entry through the microphones.
I have been panting for air after that performance. Or maybe because I'm about to see Shimmer again.. Yeah, SHIMMER. You can call her the crush of the decade, every boy loves her (including me that is),, the girls wanna be like,, most follow her,, some loathe her,, I get it why they cherish that kind of feeling though..
She came out of nowhere two years ago,, no one knows where was born or her surname,, we don't even know if Shimmer is her real name or not. No one knows about her except for her one and only best friend,SHINE.
They are both like sisters,, I doubted they are sisters at first,, but then again,, Shine has a family and a background but Shimmer has none.
Few people spread gossip about Shimmer that she is some ex-nerd, who transformed into a gorgeous beautiful that she is,, while others...well, they assume she is some sort of alien whose spacecraft crashed on earth or a vampire seductress or a werewolf female or a fairy or an angel to possess such an beautiful body and an amazing voice. Her voice really is of an angel.
I actually first saw her on an singing and dancing show's audition where I myself was a participant. Oh, the way she performed! Everyone present in that audition room cheered for her.. I can still hear those cheers..
Yeah.. No,, literally.. I can hear them.. Is something wrong with meee...
Owh no,, we are actually at a show right now. And I just got down from the stage after the performance hence the gasping and panting for air..
OK enough about my fanboy-asm and on to the show now..
Me along with everyone is waiting patiently for her to show up on the stage. The lights are blown off now after the host got down from the stage.. The only light around us are the cellphone flashlights from the audience.
Even from the right side of just outside the backstage and stage connecting hallway, I can view the entire stage and the main performance along with the audience. You can call this the best seat and it's just what I wanted in order to see her.
It's only mere seconds before her performance starts and I'm starting to get nervous.. I don't know why but this always happens when I'm about to face her or want to talk to her to ask her on a date(which I'm trying to do since last year)...
There are the same kind of fogs and dim lighting starting to form on the stage that were there just before my performance.. The audience has started to cheer on a massive level now.
My forhead has started to sweat..
Both palms of my hands are desperately shaking and sweating. I'm trying to wipe them on the backside of my costume pants that the production crew had given me to wear earlier.
The music has started.. Everyone has erupted into a loud howl of excitement..
The stage lights has focused on a shadowy form the has started to walk form the backstage and towards the front stage through the artificial fog..
"SHIMMER". "SHIMMER" "SHIMMER"
The audience has started to literally chant her name. That's how amazing she is .. And she is totally fantas-....
And I trailed off of what I was about to think because of that honey coated voice.
"If you think you can shoo me
away from him
Then bitch, you can forget tha' dream"
And there stands the 16 and half year old, deep ocean blue eyed, almost white silvery blonde haired, Greek-goddess of my (and almost every young boy of the world's) dreams..
