Ji Haishan felt like he was in a dream. The best dream he ever had in his entire life. He forgot his own internal conflict earlier.
Where was his initial plan to confess first? Where was his strategy that he laid out to seduce Bai Yulin?
Nah, scratch that.
He outstretched his hands and put his palms on her cheeks. His eyes staring deeply into hers. Their proximity was already close enough so there was no more distance to cut.
He swore he could hear his own heart beating erratically, almost getting out of control.
Slowly, and carefully.. Ji Haishan pressed his lips on Bai Yulin's. She was startled at first. But she gradually became responsive.
Bai Yulin clenched on her fist and closed her eyes. Her chest was filled with feelings that were uncontrollable. She could trace the warm lips of Ji Haishan's on hers.
The euphoric feelings when their lips touched were making her melt into a puddle. It was different from when she saw it during K-dramas. Bai Yulin was experiencing it live!
Later, he nibbled on her bottom lip, licking it ever so slowly. Bai Yulin stiffled a moan and he was stirred. He bit it harder and Bai Yulin instinctively opened her mouth for his grand entrance.
Ji Haishan didn't waste time as he kissed her passionately. He didn't care if he was currently kissing his own lips. What he knew was that this person was Bai Yulin.
Their body pressed against each other, Bai Yulin later got her own confidence back as she snaked her arms around Ji Haishan's slender waist. She realized it was her own body that she was embracing. But deep down- she also didn't care.
Their kiss got to another level as their tongues tangled together in a heated dance. Both of them wanted to claim dominance. They fought and fought, until their saliva mingled as one, creating one string of silver line upon their conclusion.
At this point, Ji Haishan's hands were already crawling up to Bai Yulin's neck. He had her nape close to his hand while she secured his waist.
It might look kind of weird with both of them changing roles even when kissing. But they thought it didn't matter. Since this secret was only between the two of them.
"I like you too." Ji Haishan put his forehead against hers as he whispered closely.
"I like you, Bai Yulin." he said it again. He wanted her to hear it the second time.
It was embarrassing when it was Bai Yulin who got to confess first but who cared anymore? He just wanted to be with her. He wanted to reciprocate her feelings.
"Will things change between us?" she asked him with a smile. Her eyes were bright like sunflower. She was glad that she took this step.
"No, it won't change." he chuckled when seeing her pout.
"Except for the fact that we'll become lovers." he added with a smirk.
Bai Yulin had a huge smile plastered on her face after she heard him. She was perhaps the happiest woman in the world right now. She wasn't single anymore. She was officially a girlfriend of the mighty CEO Ji Haishan.

The sound of the spindle suddenly got goddess Clotho's attention. She turned her face from her distaff towards the old-fashioned, wood spindle. Her eyes widened significantly.
She called the attention of her other two sisters of Fate, Lachesis and Atropos. They inched closer to her and saw the exact same thing that she saw.
The thread from the spindle was slowly rewinding back to its original place.
And this only meant one thing: the altered Fate was getting back to its rightful origin.
Lachesis nudged Clotho's sleeve, as if asking her what she was thinking about.
Clotho looked at her two sisters. They both weren't much of a talker. And ever since they lived in the underground holy temple, they didn't say more than one sentence per day.
There were no servants and no attendants because they preferred to work on Fate without other's disturbance. This was their responsibility as the three goddesses of Fate.
"It's true. The bet." Clotho said simply.
She knew that there was a bet involved. A lethal bet that could snap Aphrodite's life just in a single breath. And this bet could also suck Ares' power in the most torturous way. Hell, most of Ares' power was already depleting as she stood there, contemplating.
The concept of the bet was the same as making an oath. But it was magically draining and dangerous. It took many Olympians to become the judges of the bet.
And during his early reign on the throne, the play of betting was banned by Zeus himself. Because as gods, many would be too impulsive and foolish in betting against their life and power. It wasn't sensible.
But this time around, after dozens of thousands of years, a bet was on. And this bet was made in order to save Zeus.
It was pitiful.
Even Zeus couldn't do anything against the altered Fate. Though he had once tricked his own fate a very long, long time ago and was successful.
But this time around, he failed as the leader.
And if the reincarnation of Aphrodite and Ares failed to satisfy the bet, then all of the gods and goddesses should just say goodbye to Olympus.
This world would perish.
Along with that "eldest of the Fates".
"Lachesis, Atropos. Do you remember our oath that we made two thousands of years ago?" Clotho suddenly asked and the two nodded.
"If they failed the bet- then it would be our turn to face the wrath of the universe." she said.
Clotho didn't look all that expressive. Her eyes were dull and she never smiled. She later added with a voice full of remorse "I wish that we don't have to lose Olympus. And I hope that one day.. we can face those two and bow down towards them for eternal forgiveness."
Only by saving Zeus would Ares be saved..
And only by winning the bet could Aphrodite get her own life back.
