After they finished eating, the two of them cleaned up the table together.
Bai Yulin in her fit of mischief, sprinkled some water on top of Ji Haishan's head.
Ji Haishan was surprised as he exclaimed "I told you to use the dishwasher but you didn't? Now you're playing with water in the sink!"
Bai Yulin laughed at the sight of Ji Haishan's long and wet hair. He looked like a female tarzan.
"Well, I don't know how to use this machine!" she laughed again, pulling on the tip of his hair in which he swatted her hand away.
Ji Haishan narrowed his eyes dramatically as he took a glass of water from the table and splashed it on Bai Yulin's face!
Bai Yulin was even wetter than Ji Haishan so she became angry "Hey! No fair! I made your hair wet, not your face!"
"You shouldn't start anything to begin with." he taunted.
"You-!!"
"What?!!"
Then, their bickering started. There was a war brewing inside the kitchen and the floor turned to that of mini ocean where every corner was wet with water. The already clean kitchen faced a different kind of disaster.
Two hours later, the two of them were already exhausted after the second cleaning up. Bai Yulin was lying on the carpeted floor in the living room and Ji Haishan was sprawling on the sofa, one of his legs went above the headrest.
Ji Haishan looked sideways at Bai Yulin and said "This is all your fault. Now we're tired."
"It's your fault too. I didn't play alone, alright? I played with you." she countered.
"You always talk back to me huh??" he hissed in frustration.
"Of course. I won't be Bai Yulin if I don't give you a piece of my mind." Bai Yulin smiled mischievously and Ji Haishan's heart skipped a beat.
He instinctively turned away from looking at her and buried his face against the sofa. Somehow, his heart always skipped a beat whenever he was with Bai Yulin. And Ji Haishan was clueless as to why it happened.
When he was with her, his unknown sides kept sprouting out. He never thought he was a talkative person. But he became very comfortable to talk and have conversation with Bai Yulin.
He also never thought that he could smile casually in front of others. So he found it rather strange that he could smile along with Bai Yulin, especially when eating together.
Last but not least, Ji Haishan always regarded himself as a gentleman. Someone despite having trust issue against women, would still respect them if they didn't cause him trouble. But he found out that his foul attitude was always in 'switched on' mode when he conversed with Bai Yulin. He cursed, he scolded, and he was always on edge.
His feelings were out in the open.
And the only person he allowed them to show was towards Bai Yulin.
"Hey, what's with you?" Bai Yulin poked on Ji Haishan's shoulder as he flinched.
He immediately turned around and saw her face just inches beside his.
"Woah?!" Ji Haishan scooted away from Bai Yulin in a blink of an eye.
"What are you doing??" he asked her, looking mortified.
Bai Yulin raised her brows and asked "What? I just poked you."
"I know that!"
"Then?" she was clueless. She didn't know Ji Haishan was in the midst of thinking about her, and then was interrupted.
"Geez.. just go-" Ji Haishan's sentence got cut off when Bai Yulin's phone rang.
Bai Yulin went to get her phone and gave it to Ji Haishan immediately. She told him it was Li Rou.
Ji Haishan settled himself for a comfortable sitting position and Bai Yulin followed suit. They were sitting beside each other very closely on the sofa.
Ji Haishan cleared his throat then picked up the call and greeted "Hello?"
"Yulin! I don't know why you decided to not participate in many programs and canceled almost all of you schedules but I've negotiated with young master Ji's assistant." Li Rou immediately said right after he picked up the phone.
Then she continued "Ji Group has many subsidiaries and amongst them are perfume company, cosmetics company, and fashion company. The assistant said that you're going to endorse in all of them."
Bai Yulin gasped while Ji Haishan just nodded and said "Oh yeah?"
"What do you mean by 'oh yeah?'! You're technically the face of Ji Group now!" Li Rou exclaimed.
"That assistant also said that they're going to make you the ambassador for their hotel chain! They also made a deal so that you can be the ambassador for the latest Ferrari Roma!"
Excited, Li Rou took a deep breath and added "Isn't that great?! I can't believe this, Yulin. You simply land on a jackpot this time! Continue your love with young master Ji so that he can give you the whole world next time!"
Bai Yulin felt her heart skipping a few beats and she almost wanted to facepalm herself when she heard Li Rou's shameless words. Her face was already blushing hard and she didn't want to see Ji Haishan's reaction.
After that, Li Rou told her that she would send her the new schedule before she bid goodbye.
Ji Haishan put the phone down and sighed, saying "You have a good manager there."
Bai Yulin still didn't want to face him as she said "I guess.."
Ji Haishan stared at Bai Yulin and he suddenly found her to be very cute. Hiding her face under her own two palms. Even though the palms she was using were rough and big, he still felt it was entertainingly adorable.
"Show your face." he told her. But Bai Yulin was still embarrassed.
"Hey, come on.." his voice became soft and angelic, like how the original Bai Yulin was supposed to talk.
Bai Yulin was surprised to hear his voice which was very gentle as if he was coaxing a child.
She decided to peek through her fingers and see what kind of expression Ji Haishan was currently making.
And damnation..!
She regretted it.
He was smiling like never before. His lips tilted slightly upwards and his eyes were that of crescent moon. The deep green in his orbs were shining splendidly. He looked as if he was in love..
In love..
In.. love..?
Ji Haishan?
Or.. was it her?
What kind of expression was she making right now..?
Was she.. perhaps..
