"Wake up," Said Blade, throwing an icepack at my face.
"Hey! That's cold you know!" I shouted, throwing it back.
"That's how you wake a person up." Said Blade, leaving my room.
Well, that was weird.
"You seem different from today," I said, walking to school with Blade.
"I do?" He asked, eating bread.
"Well... I am planning for the festival..." Said Blade.
"When is the festival?" I asked.
"The classes are notified about it today, the festival is a big exercise, like run and all that, ya know." Said Blade, with a mouthful of bread.
"But when is it?" I asked again.
"It's on Friday." He said, swallowing.
"Oh," I said disappointed.
"What's wrong? You sound disappointed." Said Blade, looking towards me.
"I promised Emma that I was going somewhere with her," I said.
"Oh, that's too bad," said Blade, "I'm going to perform on stage."
"I'll just cancel the plans," I said, I really want to see Blade on stage.
"It's ok, you do what you want, I don't really have a choice to perform or not, I'm singing after the shows done, everyone's racing." Explained Blade.
I want to see Blade sing.
"It's fine for me, I can go with Emma another day," I said, looking away.
"Crap! were late!" Said Blade, starting to run.
I checked the watch that Blade gave to me.
"Oh, crap we are!" I chased after Blade.
At the class, I tried my best to focus.
I got called into the office again, and to my surprise, it was Chase.
"This is the last time, are you sure you don't want to come with me?" He asked.
"No. I am tired of you and the others." I said, turning away.
"This is your mistake." Said Chase, he sounded dier.
"I don't care," I said, closing the door behind me.
"I won't ask about you getting called to the office." Said Emma, walking towards me.
"Oh, ya," I said. "I'll cancel the plans we made Friday."
"Let me ask, is it Blade?" She asked.
"Um, how did you guess?" I asked.
"Nevermind!" She said.
After school, I didn't see Blade. I looked for him and his classmates said he was in the music room.
"Room 301...Room 301..." I repeated.
"Room 301!" I found the room!
I hear singing from the room.
I look in, I see Blade holding a sheet of paper.
Blade sounded good. "Noah!" He shouted. Crap! He saw me.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"N-nothing!" I said.
"Wanted to see the show before it starts?" He smiled.
"N-no!" I said, walking away.
"Just admit it, you want to see me sing." He teased me.
"No!" I said, flustered.
When we got home, Blade turned to the kitchen.
"I'm going to cook something today." He said, he sounded proud.
"Sure," I said, going to my room the take a nap.
"Wake me up when you're done." I yawned and closed my door.
"Sure!" Said Blade, getting the kitchen ready.
...
"Noah."
"Noah."
"NOAH"
"NOAH!"
"Huh? wha-" I said, waking up.
"I finished," he said, sitting next to my bed like a puppy.
"Oh, ya," I said checking the time.
It's 9 pm right now!?
"What took you so long?" I asked dinner takes me 1 hour, it's been 3.
"Um...let's say that I ruined a lot of pots, I had to buy a new set." Sighed Blade.
"Lemme see..." I mumbled, getting out of bed.
I took on look at the messed up kitchen and looked back at Blade.
"Don't be mad ok?" He awkwardly said, with a nervous look.
"Blade..." I said, about to explode.
"C'mon, this is hard ok?" He said.
"Oh my gosh...It's ok, it's a hard recipe...right?" I asked he was a noob.
"Uh...I made a sponge cake..." He said, avoiding eye contact.
I tried a bite. it was pretty good.
"It's good," I said, surprised.
"It's a compliment!" Shouted Blade, eating a big slice.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Emma and I had a bet if you were going to give me a compliment or not." He explained.
"Well, I'm going to guess that you won." I sighed.
"Yes!" he smiled, "Now she owes me $10"
"Wow," I said. I didn't know what to say.
At night I washed the plates and went to sleep.
I can't wait for Friday.
