I woke up wondering why it isn't cold, as always.
Oh, I remember, I got picked up by a person who I only knew for a week.
Despite Blade might be a serial killer, I don't care, I lived the first day, I might live the next.
I sit up and see a note with a pile of clothes on the counter next to me.
the note said: 'Noah! Here are some fresh clothes for you, breakfast is on the table, you can warm it up if you want, I'm off to work!'
How thoughtful.
I walk outside and see a plate with food on the table, which should be mine.
I chew it slowly, it was delicious.
I sit on the floor wondering what I should do.
Should I read?
I look over at the bookshelf.
It was full of books.
I walk over and pull out a brown book, I started to read, It was fascinating, how a boy meets a dragon and they become somewhat like brothers.
As I reach the end of that book, Blade opened the door, he looked at the book in my hands.
"That's a good book." Said blade.
"Yeah," I said.
"I'll make dinner, you just wait and watch some TV."
I forgot that he had a TV.
I grab the remote and tried to figure out how to turn the TV on.
I don't know what I pressed, but I got the TV on.
After a while of watching someone speaking about the weather Blade stepped out of the kitchen and sighed. he sounded defeated.
I smelled burning.
"Did you burn something?" I asked.
As Blade flopped down on the ground next to me he replied "Yes... I burned the bacon."
I was surprised. "Who the hell eats bacon for dinner!?" I said, a little bit too loud.
"Me, I don't know how to cook." Mumbled Blade while digging his face in the ground.
"I'll try, I think I remember to make fried rice." I offered.
"We don't have any rice." Said blade as he looked up at me.
"Well go get some!" We both laughed.
When he came back, I already set everything up in the kitchen.
He watched me while I was making the rice, like a little cute puppy.
"How do you know how to cook so well, this tastes amazing!"
Well... I can't tell him the truth, I don't want him to worry.
"I use to take lessons before me mom kicked me out..."
Lie.
"But your egg this morning was good!" I quickly said.
"Thank you." Said Blade as he was finishing off his plate.
"I'll wash the plates tonight, after I'll go for a walk, ok?" I asked.
"Sure," Said Blade closing his bedroom door.
As I walked on the bridge that Blade and I first met, I look out into the ocean.
I stand on the edge of the bridge, Just one step, and all of this could be over, the pain, the memories, I have a place to stay now.
I should head back.
I tuck myself into bed, closing my eyes, waiting for tomorrow.
