"We are going to a restaurant to have a celebration on becoming Linkers", Harp declared enthusiastically. "Wait really?", her sister interjected. "Yes, yes we are, Aria" and we are taking Arthur with us, she giggled.
'Can this be counted as a date?' Aria, blushed as she stole a look at Arthur. Arthur was a tall guy, with a robust body. He had long blonde hair and deep blue eyes, which seemed like they could see through anybody. He was a decently handsome young man, although he wasn't aware of that himself.
'Stop thinking nonsense, Aria, this is just a celebration on becoming Linkers!' she tried to calm herself down, but it had little effect. Arthur stayed quiet throughout this whole ordeal, which made him look even more mysterious.
Some time passed, and they arrived at a restaurant called "Vulion". It was a pretty standard restaurant and was full of people at this time.
"Hello, how can i be of service?", just as they entered a waiter came and asked politely. "Could we get a table for three people?", Harp asked, politely aswell. "But of course" , the waiter, lead them to a table with three empty seats.
After they received the menu, everyone quickly ordered their food and waited patiently. The twins both ordered a stake and as for Arthur he got himself some soup, as he was running out of money.
In fact, he never had much money to begin with, the allowance at the orphanage was close to none. But soon, his situation would change dramatically. That's because, when he is strong enough to go out and hunt beasts, he will not have a problem with money, as all of their parts are worth something.
After half an hour, their food arrived. In the meantime, Arthur and the twins were speaking about their daily lives and other small talk. Even so, Arthur never mentioned that he was an orphan as he does not want to be pitied at all.
After they finished eating, the three of them split the bill and went outside.
"This is it, huh?", Aria said. "Yes, the next time we meet will be at the Linkers Plaza", Arthur responded with a sigh. He really did have a good time with the girls. "We should exchange phone numbers", Harp suggested. 'To whatever gods are listening, thank you', Arthur thought to himself with a joyful intonation. But on the outside he only nodded. "That's a great idea", he nodded and gave them his phone number.
"Alright, see you later, Arthur", the girls said and went on their way. Arthur also left for the orphanage. He still needed to pack his things up before he could leave.
A few days passed and he got an email from Mara, that everything has been arranged and that he is expected to be at the Linkers Plaza tomorrow morning. Arthur was so happy, he couldn't wait to leave the orphanage and start a new life.
He went to sleep early that night and woke up much earlier than he needed to. He grabbed his stuff and left for the Linkers Plaza, before dawn.
It was quite a ways away, so it would take him at least a few hours of travelling on foot. Before becoming a Linker, it would have made him quite tired, but now that he is one, covering such distances, didn't affect him as much.
He still did loose some stamina, but he didn't feel tired when he arrived. Just as he got there, he saw the twins making their way over to him. It was bright outside already so it wasn't hard to spot them trying to sneak up on him.
"Dammit, we wanted to give you a scare", Harp said with a cast down expression. "Maybe next time, Harp", Arthur laughed and they went towards the plaza. Aria, was oddly quiet the whole way so he asked what was up.
But the answer didn't surprise him at all. "I didn't get even a wink of sleep tonight, I was way too excited about coming to the Linkers plaza to sleep", she blushed and answered sheepishly.
No one knew, but that wasn't the only reason she was awake the whole night. Aria had developed a colossal crush on Arthur and was overthinking things way too much. She couldn't stop thinking about them living so close to each other and that drove her to the brink of becoming a crazy person.
"Just a little bit more walking and we will get to our new home", Arthur said proudly and the twins looked revitalized as they heard his words. Even Aria snapped out of her drowsy self and became giddy just to see the place that they will be staying at for the coming month at least.
Five minutes later, they arrived next to a giant building, it looked majestic from the outside. It had a modern design, but looked a lot like a coliseum without an open air arena. The building had at least 6 floors. Most of them were for the lodging of people, but a big part of the building had the best training facilities that this city had to offer.
