Chapter 3 - 1.3 Blood Moon and Moon God's Wrath

Username: Blood Moon

After making my account. I begin to explore the interface while my classmates teach me what they know.

"Blood Moon. That's a good name. After seeing you in action in the alleyway, it fits." Maya said this as she begins to think about if she encountered me ingame and how terrifying I would be as an opponent. "By the way... what class are you picking?"

"Thief, I am very accustomed to using a dagger. Hehe." After saying this, everyone in the restaurant, including the waiters, waitresses and the chefs, felt something cold gently press against their necks. The chuckle at the end make their hearts palpitate in fear.

Feeling the change in the atmosphere, I start asking questions about making groups in game because everyone has told me that my EQ was very low since primary school. Even my father thinks he raised an ice block.

"Your EQ may be severely low but the other deciding factor in games like this for making friends and groups is strength and cohesiveness. Nothing is more important than how well you can work together with others. You might have trouble getting used to this but I believe that you can do it. Since you are starting the game early, what group you are in will probably make you leader anyway. What's even more important than those 2 factors is you luck. Finding people is pretty easy since pretty easy since there won't be a shortage of people anytime soon, but finding good teamates is the most difficult part of an MMORPG. You need teammates that can be strong individually and cohesively..."

After teaching me some more about MMORPG's, the clock struck 4:45 and my classmates wished me luck as go back home and prepare to enter the game.

After I arrived in front of my house, I see a middle aged man with a big box in front of him. Hearing footsteps behind him, he turned around and saw me. "Why aren't you greeting you uncle?"

"Uncle Keys, why are you here?" I ask while looking at the box in front of me.

"Your father sent me here to give you you birthday present because the higher ups asked him to be a body guard while he is visiting America as a diplomat."

"Well, come on in." I say as I walk infront of him and open the door.

After moving the box wrapped in gift wrap to the living room, I curiously open it only to see something very familiar.

"I already have one." I stare blankly at it for a few moments before stating.

"Huh? This is the newest model that doesn't come out till tomorrow. How could you possibly get one?" Uncle Keys was truly dumbfounded. He didn't even want to know how my father would react if he knew.

"The game company sent it in this morning because I had the highest test scores in the county."

Uncle Keys really wanted to send an knife to who ever delivered it to me. They planned this for months and used quite a few connections to obtain one and this is the result. Thinking of how to break the news to my father, he left in a daze after installing it into the guest room

While he was sorting out his thoughts, I realized the the time was flowing like water and that it was almost 5:30. After reading the instructions, I put on the full dive bodysuit and jump into the VR Cabin. After getting in, I sit down and relax and a helmet lowers over my head while I fall into a light slumber.

A few moments later, I open my eyes and see an options menu on my interface.

What is your User ID?

Blood Moon.

What is your race?

Night Elf

The game gave quite a few choices for races such as Humans, Forest Elves, Night Elves, Orcs, Beastmen, and more but I chose the Night Elf because their race can learn ranged skills and they have enhanced stealth and what could be more terrifying than an enemy that you can't see?

After doing this, the system prompt tells me that I am being sent to the Buckwheat Kingdom and that I have 20 free attribute pointsto distribute for playing the game early and a early starter kit. While I am being teleported to the Buckwheat Kingdom, I decide that now is a good time to startup the livestream. Following the instructions that I recieved from Dom, I managed to startup the livestream with no hiccups. In no time at all, the stream gets filled with my classmates.

DomTheGuru: Fellow Student Scarlett, you're on?

ILikeKats: This is Lucy. How's the game so far?

Maya2532: Don't forget to change your operating mode. You are good at fighting in real life so manual mode probably won't be a challenge for you.

...

Seeing my classmates chatting with each other fills me with a new kind of satisfaction. It also makes me feel like I can't wait to play with them tomorrow. As I changed my operating mode. I got a prompt saying that the teleportation is complete.

In the next moment, I find myself in a town plaza surrounded by other players and npc's. I then get 3 prompts in my announcement tab.

[System] Welcome to Creed of the Fallen. Thank you for taking part in our early release program.

[System] Please open you early starter kit and you will be rewarded a common growth type weapon. As the name states, the weapon will grow stronger as you level up. Also don't forget about your gift box. It will reward you with a random piece of gear that is at your level.(Only rewards gear from treasure chests and wild bosses.)]

[System] There are a total of 200,000 players online right now. While on Twitch.tv, there are over 7 million viewers watching your streams.

Seeing these numbers made me curious of how many viewers were watching me right now so I pull up the menu by swiping my finger down to see that I have 40,000 viewers and its rising. Seeing those numbers made my brain die for a bit. I only thought that my classmates would join in and watch me for a little while but little did I know that the website would have other plans. As soon as I went live, the website put me and 20 other streamers on the recommended page.

Seeing more and more viewers chatting away, I decide to open my starter kit first. The box gets placed on the ground and explodes with confetti. After the dust clears, and very clean dagger floats in front of me. The blade was silver and dripped blood everyonce in a while. It gave off a dense murderous air that even made me hesitate to hold it.

DomTheGuru: Share the stats. That weapon looks sick.

JayThePvPGod: This weapon is already the best starter kit weapon I have seen. If I PvPed someone with this weapon with the levels we have now, i wouldn't stand a chance. Even with plate armor.

Hell'sEmbrace: Too bad that can't be traded. I would spend alot of money if I could buy that from you.

DomTheGuru: You're already good with daggers irl. Can't imagine what you would be like with this in your hand. I get chills thinking about it.

Lieutenant Snipe: You train with weapons irl? Do you use manual mode?

...

Holding the weapon in my hand, it felt like an extension of myself. I have never felt more comfortable holding a dagger before. I get in an offensive stance and grip my dagger tightly. I close my eyes and make slow cutting motions in the air with it to get a feel for it.

"This dagger is pretty good. And the blood dripping from the dagger... It even makes me feel danger."

I look around and see a bunch of players in the fields killing a chickens.

[Demonic Chicken]

Common Mob

[HP] 35/35

This chicken is looks like a normal chicken but the it has been infected with a demonic aura that turned its eyes completely black. I was gonna walk over there and start killing them but Dom sent a message in the stream chat that stoped me in my tracks.

DomTheGuru: Look for NPC's so you can accept a quest.

"A quest?" I look around and after a while, I spot a middle aged woman sitting under an oak tree drinking from a flask. I walk towards him and can't help but be in awe about how realistic things seem in this game.

After I walked beside him, I ask, "Aunty, Is there anything you need assistance for?"
