Within this grand stadium only two remained, a Yufang that looked to the sky sadly missing the grand image of his kite soaring higher and higher, and a Zhang Yong that stood frozen from fear.
Although frozen, although terrified, and although his body unwilling, Zhang Yong spoke out, "How?... You're nothing but an Ant! How can you move in such a state? How can you fight in such a state? How are you even alive in such a state?"
Demonically Yufang smiles, as he replies, "And what's wrong with being an Ant?"
Staring at the face of the inheritor of his old friend and looking upon that sheer expression of terror across Zhang Yong's face, it made him laugh. Thinking to himself, Yufang sighed, "This world... Truly Truly it has fallen. To see even the inheritors of my brethren fall so low, such a thing, it's deeply saddening."
Standing before Zhang Yong, Yufang's smile arches higher and higher as he speaks, "Although before the eyes of many this one may be nothing but an Ant, although I don't know why you wish to kill me, and although it is true I am indeed nothing... Against all these things relentless I an Ant shall rise and in this end before all else, it will be this Ant standing above all regardless of this."
Walking away in a bloodied mess, Yufang laughs maniacally whilst disappearing from sight.
His hand entering his sleeve Yufang feels around and grasps something, smiling lightly Yufang mutters, "It's still there..." A look of relief passes over Yufang's face, as he looks up to the sky.
The sunsetting the world slows, and the light that once filled the world grows limited, the eternal night falls upon the world.
Whilst Yufang fled the scene, within a magnificent palace where the punishment department resides, the overseer of peace Du Jingyi, the almighty justice, sits upon a divine thrown, before him 6 Eternals stay seating awaiting command.
Du Jingyi a man of power, and brilliance, sits troubled. Stroking his fierce and immaculate beard the grand image of a ruler is visualized, shuts his eyes, Du Jingyi speaks out to his men, "For too long, we've let those demons tread upon us, and for too long, we've let these demons run free my brothers take a look around."
Sighing lightly Du Jingyi continued, "Look at all we've lost, all we've forsaken. Remember all of those dead, our brothers and our sisters that we lost to those demons, and now today in our own very sect our senior brother Fan Hao was killed. Do these demons dare consider themselves Gods?! Walking around and acting free listen here we must avenge Fan Hao, no longer will we lay low giving way to the greater evil today is the day we rise."
"Remember the words of the ancestors, to become an eternal means to be the very light that strikes evil cutting all roots and destroying the very existence of evil, find that demon, find Yufang."
Taking a stand, the Eternals moved, following them standing before his seat, Du Jingyi shouts out, "Feast upon that demon! Avenge Fan Hao!" Leaving all six Eternals exited, however looking back all 6 Eternals stopped and shouted out in unison, "Feast upon that demon! Avenge senior brother Fan Hao!"
The six leaving, a light grin arose upon Du Jingyi's face as he muttered, "Brother. Vengeance shall come so don't you worry about a thing, I will take care of your son, so go ahead and pass on the next with peace of mind."
To kill a disciple much less an elder, it was treachery. An act completely forsaking the trust and they placed in you.
To kill a disciple the matter of punishment was simple, banishment. However, to kill an elder of any sect, there was no escape, for to kill an elder you'd be chased to the end of the world, given no rest until an equal payment was made and in such a case only a life for a life could appease such distrust.
Of course, Yufang a man that once lived at the very peak, of course, knew absolutely nothing of this.
Born a God Yufang knew not of such matters, for no one in their right mind would dare challenge God.
* * * * * * * * *
Night soon to fall upon this world, Yufang searched for a residency.
*Sniff*
"A fragrant and enchanting aroma, the aroma of perfectly seasoned meats."
*Sniff*
Following the smell, a grand sign setting the night sky alight soon followed, "The Drunken Myriad," moving closer Yufang lured by gluttony made his entrance.
Entering Yufang pushes the front door open and enters into a lively environment filled with drunkards, idiotic arguments, and friendly conversations, the tavern turns to see the new patron, however upon making eye contact all freeze in place.
Suddenly a man moves and places himself before Yufang. Standing before Yufang a large and robust middle-age man blocks his path, staring Yufang down.
Looking upon a Yufang, a stranger drenched head to toe in blood, of course, such a man would be stopped.
Yufang clueless, however, having forgotten completely about this matter, took this man's actions as a challenge of intimidation. Grinning, Yufang stares back making eye contact with this robust man.
Minutes go past, and the tavern remains frozen. Yufang and this man continue on staring only at each other neither looking away. A message from man to man told only through eye contact, however, it went understood.
Smiling lightly the man although speaking with a sense of caution brings Yufang in greeting him as a guest, "Welcome young friend. What it is you've come to this lowly establishment for?"
Smiling to himself, Yufang, thought, "Ha. I won." Yufang uninterested in such antics, and unwilling to humor this man any longer, replied with a cold undertone, "A room, a bottle of your finest wine, and a few appetizers to be followed by the largest steak you have."
Smiling brightly, the robust man hands Yufang a key and introduces himself, "Dear patron, this is all fine, however, Ryu Gao asks you have a bath before dining."
Resilient, Yufang denies, "I refuse, this one wishes to eat now."
Sweating beads of sweat Ryu Gao attempts once more and says, "Young Master I beg of you, coming in here drenched in blood has already scared away the few of what customers I have, I can't have you eating like this."
Looking at himself, Yufang came to a mutual understanding. Truly it would make bad business for him to stay, sighing Yufang speaks, "Very well, I'll be expecting the meal in my room then."
Smiling gratefully Ryu Gao says, "We'll have it ready for you." For any man to stumble upon a tavern covered in blood, surely there background was not normal, as the saying goes, to push a dog into a corner only leads to self-destruction. Any being near death, won't hesitate to take all they can with them with one wrong move, the whole of the drunken myriad could be destroyed.
Even when above in strength, never fight those without attachment, for all they can take to the afterlife, is you and even if they can't kill you, they will take your arm, they will take your family, they will destroy your business, they will ruin you.
~Never anger those with nothing to lose.
Yufang's bloodied hand wraps around the doorknob, turning his wrist slightly, the door remains unmoved, his handing opening his other arm reaches out a key in his hand, wriggling the aged metal key he twists and turns it into position, "Click." The sound of success, the door shoots open.
Walking in Yufang enters a small, simple room. Within a small one-person bed, an aged rocking chair, one book, and a room for bathing. Small and simple, however to any traveler this is all they needed, the things of this room it was, truly enough.
Walking into the bathing room, Yufang looked around, a mere tub with no diverter, confused Yufang looked around, looking to the window Yufang muttered, "Fucking, tribal technology? Has this world not comprehending Kan Gong's space-time technique? Ahh. I guess truly all of the old was lost, but then... My old friend, just how did you do it?"
Continuing Yufang spoke, "Truly it's disappointing, perhaps I'll have to devote some time to this." By the window, a small pully designed to move water from the well to the guest's rooms.
Utilizing the pully Yufang filled the bath and lit the furnace beneath. The bath now warm, Yufang undresses revealing a horrid scene, a body of only organs, and no skin, nor skeleton.
Laughing lightly, Yufang slowly placing his foot into the water, mutters, "Ahh, the pain... I must tend to these injuries first." Laying down Yufang goes underwater, and begins to chant a scripture, unknown.
Minutes pass and a sudden hollow echo of knuckles rapping on the door sounds out, opening his eyes, Yufang awakens and begins to look out, a sharp thud following the echo, a knock rings out. Exiting the bath and walking out Yufang opens the door and speaks, "Who is it?"
A voice unknown rings out, "Young master Yufang, Ryu Gao has sent you a package." The voice, of a young woman, a voice kind and welcoming to the ear.
Looking before her, the door opens holding out her hands she presents before her a package.
Revealing himself a young man stands before her, blushing she sees not a man greatly injured and covered in blood, but a man of incomparable beauty, down his neck deep blue silky hair, runs down his neck, and within his eyes, a seemingly endless sky runs before her a man completely exposed, upon her face a tinge of redness appears, and a scream follows, "Shameless!" Dropping the clothes she runs away.
A look of confusion appears upon Yufang's face, picking up his clothes he wonders, "What an interesting child, to run away upon presenting a gift, perhaps to continue working?" smiling Yufang continues, "A young girl being so hard-working, truly it's admirable."
Returning inside, Yufang opening the package, reaches within, and entering his sight a beautiful cloudy sky painted upon robe reveals itself. Putting it on, Yufang smiles joyfully seeing his reflection in the mirror, even commenting, "A robe fit for a king, truly admirable. The Drunken Myriad, it seems I owe you a favor."
Having returned inside and his meal not here yet Yufang sits down to read, looking through the assortment of books in his room, Yufang finds one that caught his interest. A book titled, "The chronicle of one Eternal."
Opening the book, Yufang reads. The path of an eternal is narrow, a path dreaded, a path one walks painstaking. To walk a path Eternal, it has been said one must first have the courage of 10,000,000, a level of strength beyond human recognition, and most importantly an Eternal must have inborn talent. A level of talent that shakes worlds and tumbles universes, only once having all three can one reach what is truly Eternal...
To walk one million miles, or to climb one thousand mountains, on the path of an eternal such a task is a given. A mediocre side quest to the eternal. To those talented, eternal? Only a dozen individuals have succeeded, to those mediocre? Only one man had succeeded in such a task, however to those inept, eternal? None have ever met the requirements for such a title.
Muttering, "Eternal..." Yufang laughed, "A path beyond all." This was it. This was the very reason Yufang lived on, the very reason Yufang chose to live once more.
Reading a few minutes pass, and once more a sudden hollow echo of knuckles rapping on the door sounds out, placing down the book Yufang pauses for a second.
To fight those above never sure of life or death, to walk a path unsure, to live the life of a glass cannon. Eternal? Yufang yearned for it. A feeling of pressure overcame him, however here, Yufang only responded by smiling maniacally, and muttering to himself, "An Eternal? The sect of Eternals? Perhaps I'll stick around after all..."
Standing up Yufang opens the door, and once more in his sight, that same young lady from earlier is standing there before him holding a tray in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other. The door opened she walks in and presents the food quietly and carefully before swiftly taking her exit.
Watching this Yufang smiles once more, "Truly something interesting to watch. Like a cat playing in the wind, or a dog running through a field."
