The universe devoured, only emptiness is to remain, the universe vast yet solitary, countless years pass by and a galaxy is born. This galaxy a solar system in which, one thousand planets belong. Countless years pass by once more, the worlds develop and life blossoms, of these a small planet, this planet dubbed Sol, a world ruled by the human race.
Humans an ambitious race, their goals reaching far beyond the skies. Daring to do what no other would fearless they walk the path of sin humans breaking the threshold and once more entering the path of cultivation.
Within the world of Sol, 4 great empires, each specializing in a specific field. The Chu empire of talismans, the Yan empire of alchemy, the Zhao empire of smithing, and the Qin empire of farming.
Apart from these, a giant, the booming empire of Zhang a place of merchants secluded from the world. Where people only wish, for one thing, extreme wealth.
In the south of Zhang, a forbidden forest, located inside this forest a small cottage.
Within the cottage, a woman of divine beauty lays upon a bed giving birth overcome by excruciating pain, she reaches out her arm, her hand grasped tightly by a man, this man her husband, a look of worry enters his eyes as he prays, six excruciatingly painful hours pass and a beautiful boy is born.
The baby held up by a staggering, handsome young man, grinning ear to ear tears fill his eyes. Embracing his now weak wife: "It seems he was blessed with your beauty," he said.
Upon contact, Zhi Ruo blushed, her eyes full of desire weakly she spoke: "Let me hold Yufang."
Kong Youde nodded twice approving: "Yufang? Haha, yes from now on our child shall be called Kong Yufang."
Zhi Ruo now intently staring down Kong Youde, although unwilling to part Youde's heart melted at this moment. Reluctantly Youde hands over Yufang.
In her arms, this boy became full of life, tears fell, as the child burst out crying: "Waah Waah Waah!"
Softly caressing his face Zhi Ruo murmured praising Yufang: "Hair like the everso deep ocean and eyes like the boundless sky, a child of indomitable beauty."
Yufang's eyes although seemingly lifeless being deep gray, carried a certain brilliance giving off a distinct allure. This boy a god of the past, that very god of scavengers that had once brought upon the end of the universe, having devoured the god of old.

Zhang a country of merchants, although hidden cultivators reside within. The market ruled by illustrious pills, mythical fruits, magical equipment, and talismans that hasten the cultivation process.
To gain wealth it's tough but with experience, exceptional profit can be made as long as you look in the right place, those of Zhang secluded from the world remain ignorant of cultivation. For unknown fruits, mystifying equipment, talismans, and pills Zhang grows infinitely susceptible to swindlers.
Of the many professions in Zhang, Yufang's parents are swindlers, with just a glance of his mother Zhi Ruo all targets are identified, and with one movement of his father Kong Youde, millions fall victim. This duo of husband and wife proclaimed by all of Zhang, the gods of swindling, some even going as far as to worship the gods for great fortune and riches upon the new years.
Although praised criminals they remain to catch them many have tried, but in the end, all failed. Eventually, all action against them ceased, a temple was built and a religion formed, the people of Zhang soon began worshiping this young duo as gods and all their crimes were of course forgiven, for to act against a god is idiocy.
There within the cursed forest of Zhang, inside a large cottage where these gods reside, a baby, his name Yufang. A god of the past, but now he's nothing, on his face a crazed smile rises.
"HAH-H-AH-A-HA-HA-HA-HA, to begin as nothing, I shall rise once more. Oh, what amusement shall come this time?" Incoherent his words remain childish screams.
Kong Youde runs in anxious endless worry enters his mind: "Ahhh where is your mother?"
His face darkens: "No! Ruo is not to be disturbed, she's sleeping." Helpless he looks to Yufang, inquiring.
Intently staring for answers: "Yufang, what do you want? Food? Water? Milk?"
Only a blank stare he receives confused he shouts: "SPEAK TO ME CHILD!"
Given no response he runs around the residence in search of food, he finds nothing as if crazed Kong Youde screams: "AHHHHHHHH THERE IS NO FOOD, NO HELP!!!" Uneasy he runs off in search of milk. As Yufang stares at his leaving figure as one would a fool, a look of extreme pity.
The empire of Zhang, although hidden from the world, remains standing strong for over 5,000 years untouchable to all foe.
This country of Zhang often referred to as the indomitable Zhang that day was turned upside down by one man, that man being Kong Youde.
In search of the best milk for his son, Youde had brought ruin upon half the empire, before robbing the royal palace of a cow.
Three-hour passing, Kong Youde had returned home with a cow. Upon entering there on the bed, Zhi Ruo sat holding Yufang feeding him, staring at her returning husband a hint of anger lingered within her eyes.
That anger soon replaced with a voice ever so pleasant: "I'd like to see you outside."
"No, no wifey I went..." Scared Youde's body began trembling trying to reason. However, he was cut off.
Once more Ruo said calmly: "Youde, come outside."
Outside they went, now both Zhi Ruo and Kong Youde stood opposite from each other. Upon Zhi Ruo's face, slowly her everlasting bright smile ceased to exist and a demonic grin took its place, Youde's heart stopped, frightened his spine turned into a raceway as chills sped back and forth.
Infuriated Ruo screamed: "YOUDE!!! How could you leave Yufang alone?!" Extreme anger showed upon Zhi Ruo's face, as she reprimanded Youde's mistakes.
Wanting to defend himself Kong Youde tried to speak once more: "No, no wifey I went..."
Once more he was cut off: "And to return with a cow, what a great father you are. Do you even think? You better have a good reason to leave our newborn son alone."
Finally given a chance to explain, he immediately responded, unwilling to miss this chance: "Wifey... Yufang was hungry, but we had no milk so I went to acquire milk. However, I was afraid low-quality milk would be harmful to our son, so I borrowed a cow from the emperor," Youde explained.
After hearing it was for her son, Zhi Ruo calmed a bit, before continuing her inquiry she said, "Okay, so why didn't you wake me?"
Stuttering he replied: "I, I, I was afraid...."
Zhi Ruo: "What was that?"
Kong Youde: "I'm sorry, I'll remember next time."
Zhi Ruo: "Very good, you will be forgiven this time, but there will be no next time."
Intently staring she spoke once more: "Do you understand?"
"Yes, yes, yes. No mistakes will be made." Youde quickly added.
Zhi Ruo returning inside, Kong Youde deeply sighed falling to the floor beginning to incessantly mutter:
"I was nearly killed. "
"I was nearly killed."
"I was nearly killed."
"I was nearly killed. "
"I need to find a chance to escape."

4 years pass by, Yufang now entering the prime age of cultivation, his father in hiding this whole time, he seeks out his mother. Outside the cottage, a small extravagant garden and within, Zhi Ruo sits tending to the flowers.
Approaching Ruo, Yufang spoke out: "Mother, I have a request."
Delighted by her son's sudden appearance, Zhi Ruo spoke in a delightful voice: "What is it?"
"I'd like to become a cultivator," impatient and wishing for power Yufang although a god of the past, had never learned the cultivation techniques of humans, eager he could only ask the strongest person he knew, his mother.
All smiles Zhi Ruo replies: "Sure, sure come cultivate this garden with me then."
His message not comprehended he spoke again: "No, no, mother I'd like to walk the path of godhood."
Hearing this, Zhi Ruo's smile fell: "This... It's better to ask your father about it." Dodging the question passing it over to her husband, Kong Youde hiding deep within the cottage trembled.
"But, you are clearly stronger than father, why can't you teach me?" Yufang inquired.
"Yufang, this isn't a matter of strength, but a matter of the heart. I will not lead you onto that forsaken path," replied Zhi Ruo.
Kong Yufang: "I understand, I'll go seek out father."
Yufang leaving the garden, tears fell from Zhi Ruo's eyes, muttering: "Cultivation... Perhaps it's his fate."
There within a secret room hidden behind a bookcase one hundred meters, underground Kong Youde sits rocking back and forth.
The bookcase moved, Youde panicked looks over, however exiting the path, a child walks in, a look of relief fills his face.
Upon his arrival, Kong Youde says: "Yufang."
Youde inquiring: "What have you come for?"
"Mother referred me to you, so teach me to cultivate," replied Yufang.
Stuttering Youde spoke: "R-r-r-Ruo told you to come? She's not here now is she?"
"Will you teach me?" Said Yufang one more inquiring.
Getting to the point, Youde replied: "Impossible, after all, you don't have a spiritual root."
Utter despair, Yufang muttered slowly: "What did you say?"
Once more to the point, Youde spoke: "You will never cultivate after all you are inept, destined to remain ordinary."
Incessantly trembling Yufang lost all hope muttering: "Ahh, I see... This world has given up on me." Yufang's face blackened, as he walked out returning to his room.
Behind Kong Youde, a woman appeared, this woman his wife, Zhi Ruo. Distantly staring off at Yufang's parting figure a look of grievance, as she whispers into Youde's ear: "Couldn't you have let him down gently?"
The sudden appearance of Ruo scared Youde, but he put forth his normal strong demeanor speaking: "This isn't a matter of simplicity, It's a matter of the heart. You should remember what happened that day, if Yufang is truly destined to cultivate, he shall overcome this for his fate remains boundless, such a trivial matter wouldn't stop the monster we saw that day."

For ten years Yufang stares upon the endless sky cursing the world, his spiritual root crippled having been born inept.
This boy, for 10 years since that day there within the mighty forest dubbed his garden, Although his eyes show no life, hope remains.

However, he only sits devouring refusing to move. Asif incoherent Yufang remains silent, estranged to his family, continuing only to devour.
