"Rin, look out!"
RinRin dodged the poison blades thrown by the minions.
"Thanks, Zuzhen!"
She raised her staff casted Fairy's Vine, making her staff emits green aura. Vines rose from the ground, entangling the now caught slugs, leaching their life and adding up on her HP for three seconds.
Dodging the slug's ooze skill, Rin then used normal attacks. Most of her damage skills are plant-poison base and poison attacks are useless right now as most of the monsters here are immuned to it including the boss.
She look at the large dark greyish dragon in front of them. Zeher, the 40th floor boss of the Endless Tower, looking at them in its violet eyes, releasing ominous presence, making the cave-like dungeon looks darker.
It is most 10 minutes since they entered the large iron door to the boss' room and like all other floor boss, they can't leave this floor until they cleared it or the raid fails. Once cleared, their progress from the 31st to the 40th floor will be save and the next time they enter the tower, they could start on the 41st floor.
It was not an easy feat tho.
Last week, twenty players from their guild went scouting from the 31st up to the 40th floor along with some of their guild's top players and officers. It is needed to strategize once they raid it with the whole guild.
Zeher, unlike the lower floor bosses, summons minions—random spawns of wyvern, slimes and slugs, every 60 seconds and use it's ultimate skill, Contagion every 150 seconds, damage getting worst than the last.
"Get ready"
It was Yuanfen, their guild leader.
Wide round red light appeared on the floor, covering most of the boss room.
It is like what the scouting team said.
Zeher's ultimate skill, Contagion, has a wide Area of Effect or AOE. It means players could not easily dodge or run from the skill after five seconds.
The scouting team almost got wiped out after the third Contagion, with only Nickles and GenRebellion remaining but despite them being able to last the minion swarm, the next Contagion dealt too much for them to handle and the team were completely wiped out.
"That one point I casted my skill late and we were dead just like that," she remember how Zuzhen laments her "grave" mistake.
One wrong move could wipe out all the remaining players in this 40-people Guild Raid.
Rin readied herself and start counting on her head.

As she reached one, she heard Zuzhen's voice command,
"Light Shield!"
It is a cue for all Priest class to cast Light Shield, a skill to lessen direct hit damage.
It is also the cue she and the other healer class were waiting for.
Zero!
"Purification Prayer!"
"Rose Blessing!"
Rin saw the buff's icon appeared on her and her team's status bar. The poison debuff from Zeher's Contagion got cancelled because of Shaman's Purification Prayer. She also saw Druid's Rose's Blessing's buff icon, which mean everyone of them will have HP or Health Points regeneration and damage buff for five seconds and all enemies in range of the caster's AOE will be binded debuff for three seconds.
As Zeher's ultimate attack ends, everyone knows what to do.
"Attack!" It was their vice leader, GenRebellion.
"Stay alert. We don't know what's up at this point." Nickles also said.
As the swarm of minion spawn, flashes of skills can be everywhere.
Front players trying to take down Zeher. Tanks doing their best to take the aggro away as DPS dealers doing their best inflicting damage.
Other assassins deals with the minions while some mages casting ice element crowd control skill to slower the swarm of mobs, healer classes casting skills to support everyone.
Rin felt an unexplainable feeling inside her. The reason she started playing this game is far from wanting to experience RPG but right now, all she wanted was to explore this amazing world further.
She didn't notice the wyvern fast approaching behind her.
"Gotcha!" she saw Chozzles slay the wyvern
"Thanks, Choz. I was spacing out."
"No probs. It is almost done."
She look at Zeher's HP on its last bar, now in bright orange, indicating its HP nearing critical level.
Nickles' character raise her large, wide red glowing sword and attacked.
"Sword Strike!" Her sword blazed and struck the dragon.
Zeher roared.
Just then, its tail smashed all front line players.
Some were knocked back. Their formation break and most took lots of damage.
"Zeher gone berserk!" Unaa said.
"Move out of range!"
Everyone tried to dodge but Zeher's tail smashed players in different direction.
Everyone tried to stay away and cast different skills.
Freeze skills isn't working and so does stuns.
Nickles, Unaa and Nazumi run towards Zeher as GenRebellion and Charity holding it off. Zeher raised its tail for another set of continuous attack
Rin saw Zuzhen stop on tracks and cast Spirit Link on Nickles. As they received Zeher's frantic blow, Zuzhen receives the damage penalty of her skill, depleting all her HP in the process.
"Zuzhen!"
"Do your best, Rin."
Rin swallowed involuntarily.
She and the rest needs to do their best.
Clearing this dungeon is very important to all of them as it will aid them to the upcoming Hero War.
