Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 -Dream High & Hit It Bullseye

Their love for each other bloomed till it was developed to a fruit that significantly bound their lives being husband and wife.

Both of them refused cohabiting as it would affect the welfare of their child. This was the very reason why they had acquired marriage license certificate before their daughter was born.

Their married lives had no negative effects to acquire their long timed dream. Leonor's dream was to become a head of school while Kenneth Allen's was to become an international certified commercial aircraft pilot.

With their careful financial management through their sense of priority, they were able to achieve it, step by step.

"HAVE YOUR BODY IN A SNUGGLE WHEN YOUR BODY NEEDS TO BUNDLE."

This is an old adage that they were internalizing to rein their whims that they knew wouldn't affect their simple life style even without them.

They would often remind themselves that there was always the right time for everything. One dream after another would always enable them to hit it Bullseye.

Attaining his dream was like playing a dart that needs a player to be focused on it and a constant practice to hit the inner ring of the board with the tip of the dart to get fifty points that is termed double Bullseye. Or a player's dart tip should penetrate into the outer ring to have twenty five points that is called single Bullseye.

In his case, he was hitting double Bullseye when he successfully got married to his true love after having been graduated from his collegiate degree and simultaneously working through his plan to have a commercial pilot certificate license.

He admitted that it was not easy being a bread winner to provide not only his family of three's daily needs but also making his early evening and week ends to be spent for his training.

Kenneth Allen had to go home to have his daily six hours of sleep for his required daily rest. Much as he would like to spend longer time with his wife and his daughter to stay on bed to cuddle them, his work wouldn't allow him to.

Likewise, he was not yet capable in coddling them no matter how he would like to dote on them because of his financial incapacity.

His mood changed whenever he thought of their sorry state, living in a very small rooming house that he and Leonor were trying to make it a home.

Their daughter was growing swiftly in that tiny unit that he could only afford to rent. He had yet a capability to let them live in a spacious residing place.

His meager monthly income caused his inability to stop Leonor when she zealously applied for a teaching job. He was torn between his manly pride and humility accepting the reality that his wife could have really helped him for their provision.

He was also worried for the safety of their child, Lizbeth Mae, who had just celebrated her first birthday.

Lizbeth Mae was one year and seven months old when Leonor was admitted as a regular permanent public school elementary teacher. But because of the large population in that school in Metro City, she only taught half day. She spent her remaining time of each day accepting tutorial job.

Unlike Kenneth, she had more time spending it to their daughter as she had her tutorial job at their very small home that she tended to be very comfortable or cozy.

She was able to convince Kenneth that the baby sitter who was their neighbour would only take care of their child when she would be in her work. She was so devoted not only to her work but also with the tending of their family.

Similarly, Kenneth Allen had almost completed the 1500 flight hours to achieve his goal. He was almost done

with his Modular Course.

Consequently, to them, they could had almost seen the golden bright light of hope not very far from where they were.

Two years flew swiftly that he had almost forgotten the sacrifices he and her wife had exerted to hit the dream in attaining a quality and copious life.

At this point, he was able to provide his wife and his child the dream house they both had planned when they were not yet married. Before long, he told his wife to enroll in a driving school as he was planning to purchase their dream car which he did during his fourth year being a pilot. At first, it was only a car but as he had thought to add another family members, he purchased another two.

Like him who was ambitious, Leonor was likewise following his steps how to hit her plan not to remain a mere classroom teacher one. She had to rise from it through further studies with Kenneth encouraging her all the way.

Since, the day Kenneth had become a pilot, he had his off duty to spend for his family. That was the time when they both enjoyed procreating for another child. He had his money to hire nannies for his children, considering that Leonor was also pursuing to be an accomplished career woman who at the same time had never failed to do her responsibility as a wife and as a mother.

As the primary bread winner of his family, he had to think of their retirement period as he was aware that he couldn't be a forever pilot. If he could be a forever lover of his wife, in his work, he could never go with the words that, 'once a pilot would be forever a pilot.'

His enjoyment for being a pilot, a father, a husband, a provider, had never given him time to notice that one day he and his wife had to be called retirees. Therefore, the husband and wife lovers had another plan in stored for their retirement period.

They started putting up from a small academy for an aviation course for he couldn't stay forever up in the sky flying a booing airbus in its flight.

As a pilot, he maintained his cold and distant personality being the boss in every flight he managed to cross an ocean to a far away foreign land. His stringent in exercising discipline was never hidden from his crews. Anyone who would attempt to flirt with him would be brazenly fired from being one of his colleagues.

Only a blatant rejection could have driven away bitchy women like Rizaline who was once his fellow restaurant crew when he was still in college. He had no time to be coquettish with them as he was reserving it for his only woman.

If in the past years he had no time and money to date his lover, at this point he had made it a point to do it every off duty. During holidays, not only would he dated his wife, he would also bring along their children to places like Paris, London and other foreign places.

Should their fortitude was brushed away from their lives, their determination and perseverance to acquire what they planned could had turned to no avail.

Speaking from his experience that children's obedience to their parents resulted to success in life, he and his wife decided to be a disciplinarian but benevolent, caring, understanding and loving parents to the fruits of their love.

With their parental supervision, their children's daily regulated lives for household duties, studies, religious life, a hobby, a well-chosen circle of friends and family time . There was no room for an idle time for them to fool around.

Monitoring gadgets were installed not only for their safeguards but to check of their time leaving and arriving at home and to ensure that while they were away from home their scheduled activities would be strictly done.

They did not fully trust the maids and the nannies as they were usually wheedled and outwitted by their very naughty three children, a girl and two boys.

They were so cunning at their early age as proven when one time the three of them led by Lizbeth Mae coaxed their driver to drive them all the way to Prosperity City to visit their mother's parents and siblings.

It happened when he dated Leonor to Japan during his three consecutive days off duty. They arrived earlier than the arrival of their children from his parent-in-laws' far away place.

He was so exasperated with the thought of morbid possibilities that could eventually occur behind their back.

Their children were grounded for a month. They were bolder and more assertive than them. Leonor and him teamed up to manage such character traits of their children to snatch them away from a probable disaster.

One of the means was to talk with them heart to heart, discussing with them the pros and the cons as a result of their daring decision. Next, they enrolled them in playing musical instruments, dancing and taking up voice lesson. Another step was enrolling them to a martial art school during weekdays.

When dating, they were not just savouring the sweet nothings that they had been sharing since the day Little Master Cupid hit their heart Bullseye both at the inner and outer rings of their heart. They had additionally discussed responsible parenthood that really challenged their efficiency and effectivity to impose strict House rules

Buying some magazines and books about it had become a self-requirement.

They discovered that as their children were fast growing, their responsibility should also be quickly enhancing for their children not to get astrayed.

They preferred to welcome their children's friends to hang out at their home rather than to do it in random places which were beyond their monitoring skill, as they were still away from home, working for their provisions.

Aside from a home theater, a KTV bar was also put up at their home not only for his singing hobby that was always dedicated to Leonor but also for their children and their moments with friends.

Their family time was done in different activities. One of it was a family program when each member was called to show off. Every time they had their exclusive family program, there was a change of its master of ceremony and If in their program there was solo performances in singing and dancing, there was also small group and whole family performances. It was always Kenneth who would give an inspirational short message and the evaluation of their monthly family activities flow would be given by Leonor. Usually the program was ended with a song rendetion from Kenneth with Leonor on stage with him.

However, like any other families, they, too, had issues that aroused to a dispute. Their only difference from other families was that their's had some house rules to abide. A dispute should be settled not longer than eighteen hours. Should this number one house rule be violated, both would suffer the consequences.

There was a difficulty in raising children that was why it was their most challenging responsibility. Their greatest dream to a bullseye hit was to guide their children towards the correct path or direction.
