Min-Jung lay on her bed sobbing while her mother held her very tightly as she tried to console her and find out what was wrong.
She had been crying all day since she returned from the hospital without Alex earlier that day and had refused to say anything to her mother. Neither had she agreed to eat or drink, even have a glass of water.
"At this rate, you're going to fall sick. It would be best if you calmed down. Whatever the problem is, I can assure you it is not the end of the world," Min-Jung's mother said, but Min-Jung quickly sat up and moved away from her mother.
"It is the end of the world for me. It is the end of my life. What am I supposed to do? How? How does any of this even make sense?" Min-Jung asked with a heart-wrenching sob.
"What is the problem? Why is neither of you telling me what is wrong?" Min-Jung's mother asked with a frown as she looked from Min-Jung to Alex, who was standing by the door.
