"I wonder what Nana is going to tell the detectives if they question her," Min-Jung said with a sigh after Alex told her all her mother had said.
It had made sense for her to call him and not Min-Jung. That way, if they were ever to check her call record and trace his number, they would understand she was only keeping in touch with the man who had saved her daughter from the accident.
"I'm sure she's going to have to reveal to them that you're alive so they can focus the investigation on the main case. But whatever it is, you'll be fine. And I'm sure Nana will be looking out for your best interest," Alex added thoughtfully after a while.
"I need to get ready for bed," Min-Jung said with a yawn as she looked at Alex warily.
