"How did it go?" Tan asked Nana immediately after he welcomed her at the door with a kiss.
"Can I at least take off these heels?" Nana asked, rolling her eyes.
"I know you're itching to tell me about it just as much as I'm curious to know about it. I'm not going to urge you to say something I know you're dying to say," Tan said with a knowing smile.
"You're sure you don't want to know?" Nana asked with a teasing smile as she took off her shoes and turned to greet her father.
"So, how did it go?" Mr. Lee asked. Even though he wasn't particularly interested in the game, Nana and her grandfather had chosen to play. He still wanted to know what they were doing.
"As expected, of course. I got the necklace," Nana said with a triumphant smile.
"What was her reaction?" Tan asked, allowing his curiosity to get the best of him as he led her to the couch.
