"What happened?" Mrs. Kim cried hysterically immediately after she saw Nana, who was sitting at the reception part of the hospital, crying.
"He was shot. A car was trailing us, and then he asked me to go down, next thing I heard was gunshots, and by the time we stopped, we found out he had been shot," Nana babbled as she stood up to hug Mrs. Kim, who was patting her back gently to calm her while also crying herself.
"Calm down. What did the doctor say?" Mr. Kim asked with a frown as he pulled Nana into a comforting hug and held both his wife and Nana.
"They took him in for surgery to take out the bullet. Although the doctor said he would be fine," Nana said as she kept crying and wiping at her eyes. What would have happened had it not been a minor upper arm wound? Would she have lost him just like that?
"Of course, even if he were dying, the doctor would say that!" Mrs. Kim wailed.
"C'mon darling, he will be fine," Mr. Kim said, rubbing her arms.
