"Good Morning CEO Zhang." greeted the employees in the standard office worker uniform as they bowed to the man. The employees were stood in two rows, one for each side of the main door of Zhang Empire. This was a morning routine that had never stopped until now.
The man nodded as he walked to the private elevator. He hopped into it and ordered his secretary, secretary Chang. "Move my works for tomorrow to today."
Secretary Chang replied politely, "I'm sorry boss for being impolite but your mother has restrained you from working too much."
"That's fine. Just don't let her know." the man replied faintly. He stood silently until the elevator sounded and opened. He strode and walked into his office room while secretary Chang went into the secretary room near his office room.
Inside the room, there was a black shiny nameplate on his ebony working desk. On it, his name was written, Zhang Huang. The room was simplistic and elegant. The room was dominated by grey and black. The leather sofa was placed near the door and some book racks were neatly arranged in row. There were many books from different fields of study - economics, medical, politics and governance, management and literature. Each book looked so expensive that it was possible that they priced for several figures. Expensive grey floor mats were spread and covered almost all the entire floor of his office.
His desk placed near the floor to the ceiling glass window. He would sit back to back with the window.
The man sat on his chair and took his pen before he read some documents and signed it.
The man was Zhang Huang, the president-CEO of Zhang Empire.
He was already a CEO of Zhang Empire for more than seven years. When he had just turned 20 years old, his father was critically ill and he was forced to assumed the CEO vacant position. At first, none of the shareholders was convinced by him as he was too young and inexperienced. There were many people for the CEO seat that they deemed fit other than him. When he just became the CEO, there were many times the shareholders protested and wanted to remove him from the seat. They did that for different reasons. Some of them only concerned with their money while the other were jealous of him. They thought that they were much better than him but why did he became the CEO? But, since his family owned 70 percents of the company share, they could only followed the former CEO arrangements silently.
Even so, some of the shareholders still subtly pulled the string behind the scene to ostracize him. But, after they saw how he single-handedly bring Zhang Empire to the next level, they conceded defeat and stepped back. Moreover, Zhang Empire kept growing under his rules - all major projects, whether it was foreign or domestic, government or private were all won by him. Because of that, everyone in Zhang Empire called him 'The Supreme Leader'.
That was when the legend of his began. Everyone praised him for being a smart and capable CEO. Not only that, his mesmerizing look became one of the main reason why he was worshipped by them.
Normally, he should feel content and proud of himself, but he didn't.
He worked hard to become a great CEO because he was depressed. He wanted to make himself busy so he would not remember his grievance from taking this seat.
He was just twenty years old at that time and he had many dreams he wanted to achieve, one of the was to become an actor.
At that time, he had discussed with the manager from the biggest entertainment company in the country, Blossoms Entertainment about his debut as an actor.
He was very excited when they talked about it because he was only one step away from becoming an actor. Before he planned his debut, he studied in an acting school for two years behind his parents. He was afraid that they would not allow him to become an actor because they despised the entertainment circle
In order not to arise the suspicion of his parents about him being a student at acting school, he went to the university regularly and worked even harder than usual although he was already a genius to begin with. As the result, he graduated at the age of twenty years old, in the same year of his planned debut.
One week before he turned twenty, he had prepared himself to talk about his debut with his parents. He wanted not to tell them but no matter how much he didn't want to, they would still find it in the end from other people. So, he thought it was better to take everything head on.
One day before his birthday, he talked about it with his parents. As he expected, they were not agree with his choice. He and his father, Zhang Huan fought in arguments battle.
To his horrible luck, the branch family attempted to usurp the control of Zhang Empire from the main family. Zhuang Huan who happened to suffer chronic heart disease collapsed on that day. Before he passed out, he ordered Zhang Huang to take his position as the CEO of Zhang Empire.
Zhang Huang had no choice. He took control of the company and stabilized it before he handed it back to his father.
Surprisingly, his father rejected to take over the company and forced him to assume the CEO seat.
Zhang Huang was adamant not to take it but he was forced by his father continuously so he would yield to his order. When he asked his father why he chose him over his two older brothers, his father only said, "The seat is yours. They are not capable enough to take the seat."
Then he replied, "I'm also not capable. Why don't you train them? I don't want that seat. Please take back. "
Zhang Huan shook his head. "It should... no, it must be you. You must become the CEO. It's for our entire family. That's my final answer."
"But..." Zhang Huang wanted to argue when he saw his father pained expression as he hold his chest. In the end, he relented. He would talk about it with his two brothers.
After half a year, he did the same thing and was repeatedly rejected by his father. His two brothers didn't want to take over the company as they travelled to the other part of the worlds.
He was left all alone to manage the company for the sake of their family and was forced to forget his dream.
Whenever Zhang Huang remembered this, he felt so depressed. He was coerced to do the thing he didn't want but his two older brothers wasn't. His father let them to become what they wanted to be. He didn't restrained them as what he did to him.
Why is it so unfair? His father paid attention to him less than his mischievous brothers. But why did he force him to do the thing he didn't want instead of his brothers?
He also wanted to be treated equally.
