Chapter 11 - Fu*k! The Ghost Of Amaris!

A lopsided grin appeared on her face as she shifted her hazel orbs to the side mirror, the lady had wished to stay low key during the execution of her plan but it seemed impossible now, when the fiasco was ready to pounce on her.

The fool thugs had brought the wrath upon themselves, completely unaware that this time their targeted woman was not some ordinary female, who would get scared easily shout for help and react like an easy peasy delicate barbie doll.

'Let's begin the game of death!'

A soft chuckle escaped her glossy lips, as her eyes flickered with the determination.

Renna thrust her foot onto the race yet kept it within the maximum limitations allowed in the city, the lady was fully aware of the circumstances she could possibly fall into if she went over speed and the attention of the police was an unnecessary drama accordingly her, specifically when she had the intention of staying low key.

"Young lady, what are you trying to do? At least tell me something, where we are going?"

The old driver was startled and in shock to see how Renna shifted her role from an ordinary customer towards a fierce lady racer who was showing an expertise in the regard.

He was sitting in a position which could hardly justify the posture of 'sitting', he was clearly jumping more likely popping into his place while sitting in the back. Although, the lady was driving within the speed limit of sixty kilometre per hour (60 km/h) yet the chubby man found himself floating in the back seat as if he was stranded in the air, while clutching the handle.

"I request you, sir, stay back and hold on to the seat tightly."

Renna positioned the front mirror and saw the man barely coping with her driving which was definitely not reckless as the lady was expert in the regard, yet it seemed to her that the old cab driver had never driven upto forty km/h (40) made him feel uncomfortable with her driving which felt fast to him.

"Little lady, I'm telling you, don't hurt my baby Jenny, or else you have to pay for the damages! I'm warning you!"

The old man tried to threaten Renna but his voice seemed to stuck in the throat like a lump and was not showing his actual feelings which seemed to be hurt due to 'reckless' driving, and according to him it was solely because the lady had chosen to drive his 'beloved baby Jenny' above the speed of forty.

His frightened voice resonated through the air while he tried to pretend to be angry while sounding imposing, which obviously was a failed attempt, because the lady had already seen through him when she boarded the cab, that how much capable the old man was and how far he could go tackling with such situations, which are often supposed to arrive without a knock.

"Haha, don't worry, sir, I'm just taking your baby Jenny on a test drive with great care, of course."

Renna chuckled softly when the words pricked her ears, no one had ever seen the sun of the next day after threatening her like that but the old man was completely innocent, not guilty of any charge neither Renna was offended by his daring utterance nor the old man knew her very well.

Renna glanced in the side mirror and saw the car still chasing her. A wide grin appeared on her face as she lifted her one eyebrow to praise their daring activity and continued to drive, while the confused eyes of old man neither left the sight of her face in the mirror, nor he could forget the unspeakable yet dangerous flicker in her dazzling hazel orbs.

"This is not the route towards Raymond street B, you are driving in the wrong direction."

The cab driver chirped, doing his job to guide Renna that she was driving in the wrong direction as soon as the lady took the turn towards right, an air of confidence surrounded her throughout the activity of the driving.

The dense soaring cluster of the buildings started to thin as Renna kept the accelerator constant on sixty km/h (60) it seemed that the lady intended to lead the chasing thugs to the outskirts of the city, away from the dwellers.

The fools didn't even realise that how effortlessly the lady had cheated them to fall into her trap, Renna Amaryllis was playing very trickster, the femme fatale was a indeed a temptress, a beauty with brains!

"Rest assured, sir, your Jenny is strong to take the ride to the rough outskirts, she is a big baby!"

Renna avoided to reply with the possibly assumed answer, the old man might have thought, to the question, the lady was trying hard to keep up the allowed limit yet driving in a smooth pace that the chasing thugs were having a trouble to catch up with her strangely professional driving, that Renna used the overtaking method to infuriate them.

"Shit, how that bitch is ahead of us and still we are unable to reach her?"

One of the thug sitting in the back, with his eyes glued to the yellow cab Renna was driving, heard Jake groaning in agitation as he smacked the steering.

"Err, boss because you are driving at forty km/h (40)."

The poor man scratched his head and pointed out towards the accelerator which was indicating the speed limit.

"Shut up, you punk!"

Hearing that his consistent driving was a blunder, apparently it was not his fault at all because the thugs needed to be careful, as not to attract the attention of police, when the New York cops were known to be hyperactive.

Jake thumped his foot on the accelerator in irritation, his male ego was restless to have a revenge on Renna for hurting his wrist precisely breaking the bones of his one hand.

He did not even realize that how successfully Renna had blinded his senses to think and wonder that why she was deliberately driving towards the outskirts of the city, the lady hit one element 'rage' and it was enough to lure them into the trap, because Renna knew such local thugs were so full of themselves and only a single hit on their throbbing nerve would drive them crazy as a mad bull!

The lady knew how to trigger the weakness of his opponent as to lure the mouse into the trap, Renna gave Jake the opportunity to approach her as she drove within the maximum limit, the cheese was all set, only the final decision of the lady was pending that whether to just scare them off or land a lethal blow on their thick skulls to help the thugs memorize her name!

The tall buildings ended soon and the pathway became narrow, rocky and bumpy, Renna parked the cab besides an under construction building, the soaring thing was casting a shadow upto the miles that if some kind of murder or robbery would occur in that location, no one would have known until the next day labours arrive but of course that also seemed impossible for an abandoned building.

The car halted with a screeching sound that the cab driver barely refrained himself from bumping his nose into the driving seat, when he finally caught himself, the man rolled his eyes sideways anxiously, to analyse the surroundings which gave him a clear signal of danger.

"Y-young lady?"

The old man stuttered, gulping his fears which were absolutely correct, his every hunch was about to become true.

The man loosened his grip on the handle, the 'stench' of deadly fight was filling his nose, he had already grown suspicious of Renna as the lady drove throughout the streets without any difficulty, perhaps she was fully aware of the routes, which was impossible for an outsider.

"Sir, would you mind coming a little forward? I have something to tell you."

Renna averted her stare as the lady glanced backwards, she gestured the old man to come forward as she looked back from the front seat, finding his shivering and terrified situation she thought to relieve his stress for a while.

The oldie leaned in hesitantly and felt a gentle yet strong blow on the back of his neck, in a specified spot that knocked him unconscious.

The lady gently shoved his chubby silhouette, that he nearly laid down on the seat while she settled back waiting for the thugs to step into her trap, her hazel preying orbs were darted onto the right side mirror with a deadliest grin ever witnessed from a female.

[ Meanwhile on the roof ]

A few yards away a man was brushing his teeth, wearing a white vest and black boxers, having unkempt hair, he was holding the window pane of the small room on the rooftop of an abandoned house, which nearly seemed haunted in the outskirts of the city.

"Is that Ronan Ross's wife, Amaris!? What the fuck I am seeing!?"

His bulging eyes were more popped outwards due to the unbelievable sight which was visible through the window of his washroom, due to the shock which had sent him in a mixed kind of reaction, as if he had seen somebody's ghost!
