I was just simply solving riddles from a book I bought the other day while our teacher was teaching. I'm not that type who focuses on my academic status and stuff. It's too boring for me.
After a few hours of boredom, I managed to survive. Kasama ko sila Rionne at Eilynne. We were heading to the canteen. Sila Zyra at Carlos di ko alam kung saan nagpunta.
We finally reached the canteen and ghawd it was crowded.
"Ako na oorder" Eilynne offered.
"I'll just have whatever you'll have" I told her.
"Paburaot nalang" sabi naman ni Rionne. Huwaw buraot pala to.
Eilynne went to the counter while we looked for a table.
We found a vacant table at uupo na sana kami nang biglang may humarang samin na clown at dalawang ipis
"Oops sorry, this is our spot" the clown said.
"You own nothing in this school Tracey" Rionne said emotionlessly.
"Whatevs Rionne" the clown called Tracey ignored Rionne and sat down.
"Pick one, get your filthy plastic clown face out of my sight or I will do it for you?" Rionne threatened. Ghawd grabe naman to. Buti pala di ako napunta sa bad side nya.
"Oh honey I know you're just jealous of my beauty" pagmamayabang naman ni Tracey. Ang hangin! Feeling ko nakuha na nya lahat ng oxygen!
"Sweetheart, your beauty is like your password, you're the only one who knows it" Rionne said sarcastically. Damn this girl can burn.
"Bitch even your dad would leave your mom for a goddess face like mine" Tracey said.
"Okay okay, let's stop this nonsense" I interrupted.
"Let's just go Rionne, I don't want to sit on a table that's been infested with two cockroaches plus the level of plasticity this girl named Tracey is suffocating me" I added and dragged Rionne to another table.
Rionne laughed. Ano nakakatawa don? Nagsabi lang naman ako ng totoo eh. Wait what? Did Rionne really laugh? Wow! First time yun ah.
A few minutes later dumating na si Eilynne. We were in the middle of eating when Carlos and Zyra came running to us.
"Oh? Anyare sa inyo?" Eilynne asked.
"May kagulohang nangyari sa rooftop!" Zyra said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"A student was found dead at the rooftop" Carlos answered.
I felt a bit of excitement. First weeks of school and may krimen nang nagyari. Just by this, I can already tell this won't be a boring school after all.
"Tara daliii!" Carlos grabbed my wrist and dragged me while the others followed.
Pag dating namin sa hagdanan na naglilead sa rooftop ay may mga teachers na don na nagpreprevent sa mga estudyante na umakyat. They were just waiting for the rightful authorities to arrive.
There was this guy talking to the principal while holding a pocket notebook and a pen.
"Who is he?" I asked Zyra while pointing at the guy.
"He's the school detective" she answered.
May ganon pala sila dito? Interesting.
"Guys, can you distract the teachers?" I asked them.
"Why?" Zyra asked.
"Aakyat ako sa rooftop, I wanna look at the crime scene" I answered.
"Teka, bawal don diba?" Eilynne asked.
"Please?" I begged. Gusto ko na talaga itest yung kaalaman ko sa mga ganto.
"Okay" Rionne agreed.
Iniwan na nila ko at dinistract yung mga teachers. When I saw a way through, I swiftly sneaked up the rooftop.
I took a deep breath and opened the door. The scene was a bit bloody. The body was close to the railings. There was a knife deeply stabbed on her chest.
Obviously, hindi to suicide. Kung suicide to edi sana tumalon nalang siya. I walked around the rooftop and scanned the whole area. The killer must be very smart to eliminate every single evidence. There was no flaw. For now.
"Students are not supposed to be here" My investigation was interrupted by a male voice.
I turned and it was the detective. Not just the detective but someone I already knew.
"Tito Frost?" I said in confusion. Di ko sya nakilala agad kanina since di ko makita masyado mukha nya.
"Ivonne! Ikaw pala yan!" He said with a smile.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"The school hired me as the school detective for cases like this, this is not just an ordinary school, madalas marami namamatay dito but they always figure out a way to keep it a secret to the public kaya nagdecide sila na ihire ako" he answered.
Frost Lennox. He was a good friend of my father. We lost communication ever since mamatay si Daddy at inampon ako ni Tita Rachelle. We're in good terms.
"It's been a long time nung huli kitang nakita tito but right now is not the time for a family reunion" I politely said.
"Agreed, I can see na namana mo yung pagkahilig ng Daddy mo sa mga gantong bagay" he said.
"I guess so" I replied.
The rooftop door opened once again the principal entered with a few teachers and the police.
"Ms. Laxus, what are you doing here? Students are not allowed to enter this crime scene" the principal asked.
"It's okay Mrs. Tejada, she's my assisstant" Tito Frost said and smiled at me then glanced back to the principal.
"But Mr. Lennox, she's still a student" the principal said.
"Trust me Mrs. Tejada, she's a mature girl and a daughter of a great passed away detective" he insisted.
The principal thought for a moment but decided to just let it slide since Tito Frost is such a persistent man.
We investigated the crime scene and the body.
"What do you think Ivonne?" Tito Frost asked.
"It's clear enough she was murdered and the only evidence was the knife but there were no fingerprints found on the knife" I said.
It's kinda suspicious that the only thing on the knife was the victim's blood. As if a ghost stabbed her.
"Do you already have suspects?" I asked.
"The primary suspects are the three boys who are the only ones that came up here" he answered.
As expected. Prime, Trim and Deux will be suspects.
"Any other suspects?" I asked.
"The girl's two bestfriends, her boyfriend and her bully" He answered.
"I already interrogated them, her two bestfriends claim they didn't do it and they were having breakdowns as I interrogated them because of the tragic news, her boyfriend was furious and only said mean things at the killer and lastly her bully said she admits she bullies the victim but she's not that bad of a person to commit such a crime" he added.
Again, expected. None of the said suspects is the exact killer.
"Are they all classmates?" I asked and he nodded.
I asked for their section and went there while Tito Frost interrogated Prime, Trim and Deux.
When I reached the classroom, I knocked at the door and it was opened by the adviser. The other advisers went to their respective sections to control the students.
"Yes? Do you need anything?" She asked.
"I'm an assisstant of Mr. Frost Lennox and I came here for investigation of the current murder case" I introduced.
It took a few minutes before she let me in. I stood at the front and looked around.
"I know that all of you are aware there is an on-going crime at this moment, I am part of the people who are currently investigating the crime and I'm asking for your cooperation" I said with authority.
"The victims boyfriend, bestfriends and bully please raise your hand" I said.
One boy and three girls raised their hands and I quickly scanned them.
"You may put them down now" I said and they did.
I looked at every student and walked around the classroom. Siguro mukhang tanga na ko ngayon.
I went back in front and bid my goodbye.
Bumalik na ko kina Tito Frost. Prime looked pissed while the other two kept saying they didn't do it.
"Look! Oo kami unang nakakita sakanya but nakita lang namin sya na patay na nung pag akyat namin sa rooftop, we didn't do anything to her!" Trim said.
I refused to tell Tito Frost what I know since wala pa kong matibay na ebidensya.
"Wala kayong ebidensya na nagpapatunay na inosente kayo" Tito Frost said.
"Wala rin kayong ebidensya na nagpapatunay na guilty kami" Prime said back.
"Why don't you make her a suspect as well? Pumunta rin sya sa rooftop nung nakaraan and kanina naman she sneaked up there, don't you think it's a possibility na pumunta sya doon para idouble check kung may ebidensya syang naiwan?" Prime attacked me.
Wtf? Ginawa ko sakanya?
"You can't prove your statement, at isang beses lang ako pumunta sa rooftop, ikaw ang kasama ko nung pumunta ako doon hanggang sa dumating mga kaibigan ko" I said in my defense.
"Tch whatever, I'll just make my own evidence to prove we're innocent, dalawa na nga kayo pero di nyo parin alam kung sino killer ng napakasimpleng kaso na to" He said and left.
Wait, alam na ba nya kung sino yung killer?
