Chereads / The Organization / Chapter 4 - Dawn

Chapter 4 - Dawn

I woke up in my bed and with a massive headache. I was in my room, but something wasn't right. Turning to get up a voice started to speak.

"I wouldn't do that if i were you," Phantom's purple and black hair was all wild.

As stubborn as I am, I stood up anyway. Falling shortly after to the floor. Phantom raced towards me catching me before I landed.

"I don't need your help," I said to him in a cold way.

"You could've died! If we didn't have magic on our side then-" he paused not being able to complete the sentence.

"It's not like I don't deserve it." I answered him, in a harsh kind of way.

Lifting me onto the bed, he frowned. Then got up and walked away from me towards the end of my room. We weren't thinking about anything but anger. I could feel it.

He turned towards me out of anger. In a swift kind of way.

"But you don't deserve it! It's not your fault that you didn't know that we were killing innocent people!" He shouted back at me, " I anyone should be blamed it's me! For leading the rebellion and for not asking about our missions."

Tension was thick in the room. It was broken by voices coming from the outside of the door. They were muffled voices but to me as clear as day.

"Are they st it again?" A girl asked.

"Yes, you know I bought they would've kissed by now." Answered a different girl.

"They are kind of meant to be," a third girl said.

This angered me to the core.

"...Get out...." I said to Phantom, my words very quiet.

"What?" He asked me in a confused tone.

"You heard me, I said get out!" My voice got louder, "I want to be alone right now."

He looked at me, "If you're planning on escaping then tough. People are looking for us, especially you. And these aren't just any people."

Phantom walked towards the door. Upon opening it three people were standing there. Lotus, Nemu, and Dice we're standing there. Lotus had her ear pinned up against the door while Dice had gotten pop corn. Nemu's hamd was stuck in the bowl of pop corn getting a pice our. They all froze in their places.

"Please leave, she wants to be alone right now," Phantom told them.

"No guys come in!" I said as fast as possible.

Nemu and Dice rushed into the room passing Phantom. While Lotus just stood up and left. Phantom stood there for a moment and then left. Nemu day on my bed while Dice went around the other side.

"Okay who said what?" I asked them.

Looking at each other, then Dice laughed.

"We should've known you would've hear us," Dice said laughing.

"I asked Are they at it again? And Dice said that you guys were meant to be." Nemu answered, her stone cold tone not breaking.

"Oh, where's Dawn thought she'd stop something like this, guess not." I said a smile came on my face. I couldn't help it I thought I was funny.

Dice looked at Nemu, she still had no emotion shown.

"That night when you went with Quickmoon, she went with Phantom and Fierin to go and protect you." She said, still not making eye contact.

"Oh no she's not hurt is she?" I asked concerned.

"She's dead." Nemu answered me, "Dice is you're going to get emotional then leave."

Dice got up at once and flu out of my room. Nemu stayed, getting up and walking over to my dresser. She started to pull out clothes and fold them. Nemu knew when people were uncomfortable and wanted to act normal so instead of leaving she'd do something else.

"How?" I asked her, as she folded a red shirt.

"She wasn't fast enough. Quickmoon's scythe was to fast, she landed a blow on her right eye. Then Quickmoon took it as a trophy, Reiz isn't to happy. That blow killed her immediately, how do they put it? So go easy on Reiz and Fierin for a bit." She said, completing the folding.

"Well I know how they feel to lose a sibling." I answered, "Nemu, by the way who healed me?"

I have to admit I was curious. Who wouldn't want to thank the person who saved them from death?

"I did, did I do a bad job?" She asked me in a cold tone voice.

"No, no, I just wanted to say thanks that's all." I said.

Nemu attempted a smile then left. Turning onto my side I reached for my iPod put it on shuffle. The song History Maker started to play. What a perfect song for such a horrible night. Then I feel into the arms of sleep.

"Wake up!" A voice said, my eyes shot wide awake.

Grabbing my gun that was underneath my pillow. I aimed in the direction of the voice.

"Wow, still able to defend her." It was just Fierin, he had a tray of breakfast with him.

"Fierin you almost gave me a heart attack!" I shouted at him.

He laughed rubbing his red fiery hair.

"Sorry, but you need to come quick!" He said to me, sounds like it's important.

I was about to lift myself up when he grabbed my shoulders. His warm hands against my shoulders felt good.

"Phantom told me that if you walk then he's gonna kill me." He explained, "And so gave me this."

He moved out of the way to reveal a wheel chair.

"You've got to be kidding me." I said, "No fricken way, I'd rather you fight him."

"Aww come on you care to much about me to put me through that." He answered with a laugh.

I glanced at the wheel chair then back at him, "You can take him, for me?" I said to him hoping that he would.

Fierin stubbles back from laughter. Now I could see that he was wearing all black. His appearance gave him a nerdy charm but he's stronger then he looks.

"Yea, there's somethings I can't do for you." He said pushing the wheelchair over towards me.

I looked at it, it's to high I need to stand to get in there. I looked back at Fierin still giggling from the request. He was claiming down and saw that there was a problem. I felt a warm arm wrap around my legs and another one around my back. Fierin was picking me up! I felt the bed beneath me fade away as I got higher. I got up to his chest when he looked down at me,

"You okay? Is this to tight?" His face was extremely close to mine.

If I wanted to I could confess my feelings right here right now. No, his sister just died, that would be unkind of me. Just have to keep it in, I know that people want me and Phantom together but I like Fierin.

"Hello?" He asked, "ya in there?"

My mind came back from deep thought.

"Yea sorry, I was just thinking. This is fine, I'm alright." I answered, close one.

Then leaning over he put me down into the wheelchair. After making sure that I was okay and completely secure he walked towards the back of it and started pushing. And started to wheel me out of the door.

We got out into the blank hallway. And made a turn towards the ramp.

"Wait! Stairs!" I explained.

He then turned around and started towards the elevator. The ride was slight and very uncomfortable. We turned into the grey elevator and he pushed a button, the below ground floor. After a couple of slight minutes the doors opened and he wheeled me out of there.

A funeral was going on, the ground floor is where we hold them. Then burn the bodies with a controlled fire. The Isles were set up church style and the alter was filled with flowers. Dead center was a coffin, it was as black as night and was up on a stage. By the underneath of the coffin we're tons of rose red flowers. He wheeled me up next to an isle then got into it. The rest of the group was there too. Each and everyone of them wearing black, Reiz then stood up and headed towards the alter.

"This is an open casket funeral. Since everyone's is here I'd like to start. Dawn was a special girl, she was sweet and special. She would never give up on her friends. I want her spirit to live on forever. So I am changing my assassin status and will become the Yin Yang First Class Assassin of the organization the Dragons." He steeped away from the alter and looked at his dead sister.

Turning around towards us he continued, "Her abilities had everything to do with light and mine with darkness. So her legacy will live on in me and my name will be Reizen from now on."

No one was shocked but stayed slight. Reizen then stepped off of the ramp. Which wasn't there before but was most likely meant for me. I grabbed my wheels and started wheeling up there.

At the alter I removed my foot from the rest and stood up on my own. Time to say somethings of my own. But first I had to look at her. Turning my head I looked upon her, they dressed her in a red cocktail dress. No one wiped the blood from her skin but they did put a bandage over her eye. I turned back toward them.

My friend
