"Pass me the patient's records."
Hu Long handed the clipboard to Han Bing. When Han Bing read the patient's name, she paused. Qin Shi Ran.
She hasn't been paying attention to any news from China, but it seems that he has inherited the Qin family's businesses. She continued to read through the record and saw his medical history. Fate sure knows how to play with people. When Han Bing lost her legs, Qin Shi Ran was a perfectly healthy young man. However, their position flipped now. Han Bing still remembers that she crushed his kneecaps pretty hard.
Han Bing tapped on the table as she contemplated whether to accept this old friend as her client.
After a while, Han Bing stood up from her bed and walked towards Hu Long. "Book him in my 10:30PM slot."
Han Bing placed her sneakers on the floor. She made a couple of stretches and started
jogging to the park.
This has been her daily routine. Ever since she regained her legs, Han Bing has been trying to increase her leg muscles. Although it was part of her routine, Han Bing enjoyed the feeling of wind passing through her as her heart pumped in excitement. Originally, Han Bing was fine being in a wheelchair, but ever since she can walk, her itch to pass the limit of her body began again.
Han Bing increased her speed again. Anyone who saw her right now would not be able to believe that this beautiful woman used to sit on a wheelchair.
Han Bing huffed and staggered to the rail in front of her. This place has her favorite scenery of England. The bright city light at night made a colorful contrast to the dark. Han Bing stood still and absorbed the scene. Once she is done with Qin Shi Ran, Han Bing wants to visit here again.
"Young master Qin, the doctor replied. They said the meeting is tomorrow at 10:30PM." Wang Jun announced to Qin Shi Ran who was sitting in the back seat.
"Should I confirm it?"
"Yeah." Qin Shi Ran mindlessly answered. He watched the buildings pass by him one by one. Han Bing, where are you? Please come back already. Qin Shi Ran tiredly closed his eyes.
Han Bing and Hu Long took their suitcases to the airport. Hu Long felt a bzzz in his pocket. He took out his phone to check. "Qin Shi Ran has agreed to the meeting."
"En." Han Bing nodded her head. She figured Qin Shi Ran would take any chance to be able to walk again. "Rent a clinic with a large empty room."
Hu Long wrote that down on his notepad. "Would you prefer a hotel or apartment for this visit?"
Han Bing thought for a moment. "Hotel."
Hu Long hesitated for a second, but he still went to search for hotels near District C. Hu Long knows that Han Bing is Chinese, but he never heard her talking about her family. Hu Long thought Han Bing might want to stay longer in China, but it seems that he overthinked it. Although Han Bing seems calm and easy to communicate with, Hu Long can feel that deep down in Han Bing, she is actually an extremely cold person.
Han Bing took a look at her watch. "It's time to get on the plane now."
Hu Long took her bags and carried them up behind her. People were murmuring behind them.
"That must be some Japanese mafia princess. Look at the man behind her."
The other bystander curiously looked at the beautiful asian lady's servant. He observed the tattoos on his arm and shivered.
"Don't get near them."
Completely unaware of the rumors surrounding them, Han Bing and Hu Long safely got onto the plane.
The flight was in silence as Han Bing thought about everything that happened before she left China. Hu Long decided to not say anything to prevent himself from disturbing her. Very quickly, they reached District C's airport.
Han Bing took her bags and went down the stairs. She hasn't come back for all five years. She never called or messaged her mother and her new father because she was afraid that she would be detected with the Qin family's influence and implicate her family.
"You can go to the hotel first. I have something to do."
Han Bing rushed to take the cab in front of her. Hu Long confusedly watched Han Bing opening the door to the cab, but he still took the bags to the hotel.
Han Bing spoke out an address to the cab driver.
"Little sister, you must have come back from studying abroad. Are you going back home to meet your parents?"
"Yes." Han Bing made a smile which even she herself didn't know about. The cab driver continued to chat while Han Bing continued to listen.
"My daughter is also studying abroad in K university. She comes back every vacation. Ai ya, I miss her so much…"
Han Bing chuckled on the side. Ten minutes or so passed by as the cab stopped in front of a simple house.
"Here it is. Go in and reunite with your family."
Han Bing waved the cab driver goodbye and turned around to face Doctor Wu's house. She stood in front of the house for a couple of minutes before she placed her finger on the doorbell.
The door opened. "Who's out there?" a middle aged woman walked out of the house with sandals. When she saw Han Bing, Hua Yi Xian stopped. She tightly pressed her lips. Age has gotten a hold of her mother. There were more white hair and wrinkles than Han Bing remembered.
Han Bing saw her mother's eyes getting red and drops of tears falled out. "Mom."
"You're back."
