What about love? A question a lot of my age range do not fully understand. I am proud to say I am not among those who just follow norms when it comes to love.
My first funny encounter of it was when I got a stupid bouquet of wild flowers in my elementary years accompanied with a paper written 'I love you'. I never felt the feelings of delight or curiosity of who might have sent it. All I felt is fear that someone is playing a prank on me so I threw it to the nearest trashcan. Now, I realized that what I did must have hurt the person who sent it (just maybe). I learned to consider the feeling of other people aside from mine. Young or old, when it comes to courtship the bottom line would always be to make the other end fall for you in return in order to pass. If it did not go as planned, it's a 'better-luck-next-time'.
The same goes for my dream about cutting a snakes head when I encountered it… it turns out that the interpretation of a snake in a dream means a male. I then realized that it might have been the explanation as to why I am inclined to decline any sign of courtship to a man.
When I went to high school… the crap started to break loose. Those moments you get to call 'puppy love'. (A few of my classmates got married during this time… the teachers in my school are all worried we'd turn into half our population by the time we graduate.)
