....real golden dragon. it can't be.... I wakeup thinking about a dream that seemed so realistic. I get up to do my morning chores. When I wake up more fully I realize I am not in my own room. Where am I? Then I remember I wasn't dreaming.
I venture outside to see what to make of where I am after telling a maid I met in the hall. Out the back of the manor is a beautiful garden with a brick path. As I walk around on the path that winds threw all the beautiful flowers I start thinking. How do I get home, my parents need me. This place doesn't seem to be on earth even. Is that even possible? All the people I have seen so far seem to be servants. I'm treated as if I have status or am head of this place. I always did dream of adventure. Now I'm in a whole other world or something. I guess I got a true adventure.
I keep walking around thinking and talking to myself trying to make sense of everything that happening when I see a shadow out of the corner of my eye. I turn to see who it might be and feel a sharp pain on the back of my head. I slowly fall to the ground and as I am falling I hear a man say. So this is his mate....Everything went dark. When I awaken I'm in a room with a bared window and a door. I am chained to the bed.

One year ago
I was battling my brother who has always wanted me dead for the throne. We where in the sky as one huge tangle mess of claws and fangs. Blood was flying every direction as we tried to tear each other apart. I somehow got my fang on his wing and crushed the bones. His body fell from the sky to the ground as I watched with a grimm look. He most likely didn't survive the fall. It was raining hard now washing away the dirt and blood. I had hardly noticed during our fight. I slowly glide to land and just as I'm reaching the ground a light so bright it blinds me glows. When the light disappears I am left standing in the rain. I get dizzy and my vision blurs, trying to steady myself I try to take a step and faceplant into the mud out cold.
I feel a wet cloth wiping my forehead and all over my body. I am cold and soaked. I feel the cloth slow and it's enough for me to open my eyes. I see a beautiful girl staring at my body but I have no idea who she is. I hear my dragon huff and say this is our mate how can we not know her. She doesn't dress like the women I've seen. That is because she is not of our world. As she starts to turn as if she feels I'm awake now I grab her by the wrists and pin her to the ground. I am confused at the instant attraction I feel for her. Never have I felt this before for anyone. I feel the pull that can only mean one thing. Of coarse it means only one thing. Like I said before she is our mate. I kiss her, turn her and place my hand on her back for the princes mark of his bride. After I am done my path home is opened and I go. I will come back for you!
The day to bring her home.
In the a field on the outskirts of the palace I am flying. A the pull I've been waiting for a year to happen again starts. I open the path between her world and mine. I see her tumble onto the grass below me. She looks up in a daise. I know she doesn't recognize me as a dragon but she is showing no fear. Shortly after I land right in front of her she falls and is unconscious. I change back to human slowly as I walk toward her. I pick her up and take her to my palace. It is small so my workers all call it a manor. Earlier in the day I had one of my most trusted maids ready a room for her and that is where I take her. As I place her on the bed I kiss her forehead. I tell my maid to inform me when she wakes and leave headed to my study.
Just a few minutes later, there's a knock. After I am told she is awake I go back to her room knock and enter. She looks at me and within seconds she is touching me. Checking me over as if she's been worried if I was still alive. Everywhere she touches turns hot. My ears feel warm while I stand still letting her do what she wants. Her embarrassment when she realizes what she is doing is one of the cutest I have ever seen a girl act before. I already have an indescribable feeling towards her since our first meeting. A tugging on my heart that I've never felt before. I feel a loss when she steps back from me.
I inform her of what my plans are and judging by her reaction she is none to happy about it. She may have no idea she is my fated one also known as mate. She is the only one who can be with me or I die. Dragon's die if they don't find their mate that is destined for them. After I marry her we have two weeks to ready her for her change. she has no choice. It was predestined from the moment I was in her presence.
My father and mother have been gone for the past 12 years. Killed in a war with magic folk called mystics. My first change came when I turned 21. The change itself wasn't like breaking every bone in my body but a glow of light with a warmth all over my body like being close to a fire. I changed into a golden dragon and became the new ruler of dragon's. The color of each person's dragon determines the status they get. Gold dragons are the rarest and highest ranking you can become. This world is ruled by dragon's and regular humans have little to no rank until they go through a change. Unless they are a mate of an already changed dragon they will never change to become a dragon.
My head man Gerald came to me. Sir we went to inform the lady that breakfast would be served but she is gone..we can't find her anywhere. She said she wanted to be alone and take a walk. We have looked in every nook and cranny of the manor to find her and have men still search now but have found nothing. What are your orders to be?
