"There is nothing to save, now is all lost, but a tiny core of stillness in the heart like an eye of a Violet"

Dark and cold...
I sat on a fetal position behind the shadows of the figures in front of me. There were four women standing, looking straight forward in the void of nothingness.
They share similar features by the look of their physique. Twins? Probably yes, probably no. However, I could sense the strong disparaging of their aura. It is as if each of them possess a whole new different perhaps even contradicting persona against one another.
They were looking into the opposite of my direction and yet I could see their emotions. The gist of my sentiments are getting out of sight. I'm starting to lose my logic. Nevertheless, something in me felt so clear.
We were connected.
I slowly raised myself. At the moment I stood straight, they all glanced back at me. My body can't move. I was pinned down right where I stood.
They now walk towards my direction. I could feel the liquids sliding in my skin. Is it sweat? tears? I don't know anymore. I did everything in my force to move but nothing's happening.
I closed my eyes and silence came.
Only the beat of my heart, pounding in my chest was all I could hear.
Another silence...
This time, I decided to open my eyes. I took a deep breath and started to slowly open the lid of my eyes.
Blink, blink, blink. They were gone.
I sigh. Closed my eyes and open. This time I opened my mouth and scream up all my lungs. They were here again. And now they are running towards me!
No!!!!!!!!

I gasped for air as I woke. My heart is in chase, it is beating rapidly. It was a nightmare and it is indeed a horrifying one.
"Thank goodness, it wasn't real". I sigh for relief and laid back. I could feel the soreness of my body. I'm so tired, my weary eyes are collapsing. I forgot when was the last time I had a decent sleep. Thankfully, the soft matress and silky blanket soothed it. Oh, what a nice bed.
Wait, bed?
Once again, I jolted. I looked around and took me a while to realize I am in a hospital room. I'm certain of it, since I used to visit hospital back when my mom is in medication.
The white painted walls with a single frame of an abstract painting hanging in it. Minimal furnitures like the cabinet beside the bed with a vase of chrysanthemums on top of it. The transparent wires and dextrose as well as some apparatuses that are connected in my body.
"I look like mom". I whisper to myself.
I restropect for the events that happened which could have lead me in my present situation. My memory is cloudy, it was fragmented into bits of pieces. I tried to reconnect those pieces but my head hurts the more I try.
A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. A tall man with a lean figure and broad shoulders came into my room.
"I'm glad you're awake. How are you feeling?".
No words came out from my mouth. I was muted in an instant. Was it because of the trauma I had been under or simply this man with a sexy and modulated voice...
Crap, what am I thinking. I stir down my thoughts. I am agitating and it seems like he noticed it.
He cleared his throat and spoke.
"Oh, where are my manners. I am detective Knight Reigo".
He come closer and lend his hands towards me. I could see his face clearly, with those shade of whiskey eyes of his, pointing nose, kissable heavy lower lips, prominent jaw line...I wonder how would those taste like.
"Your stripping me with your stare". He said nonchalantly.
I was brought back into my senses. It was very embarrassing. I could feel my cheeks heating, my face must be red by now.
"Are you just gonna look at me all day?".
I shook. My inside voice is literally screaming. What's wrong with me?? I immediately took his hand and introduced myself.
"I am Avery Mercadejas".
"Great. So you can talk". He gently retrieve his hand and pulled a chair closer in my bed. He sat and brush his grayish hair behind his head before he started talking.
"Miss Mercadejas I am here today to ask questions about the incident you recently had been through". He pulled a small note and a pen as he continued talking.
"We have found you in an abandoned mansion. You were unconscious and had a severe wounds all your body. You were with a man, who was dead by the time we came. But as we have done our search within the house, we found out more dead people are there."
My heart skipped in every information I just heard.
"As of now, only three among the corpses' identity were confirmed". He took a photo and hand it to me.
I could feel my eyes getting heavier as I scan through the photos.
My hands are shaking, I could see the droplets of tears in the photos I am holding
"They are Adeline Buenaventura, Ashanti Tan, and Jax Guerrero. Do you recognize them?".
"No...no..no. This can't be true". I look up at him with my eyes soaked in tears. I lift a photo
"They were my friends".
I can't help myself, I sob in complete sadness. My heart's in blue. Melancholy is consuming me. My friends...not my friends, the only family I got.
I'm feeling weak, I couldn't stand it. And then a pair of hands claim me in an embrace.
"Hush, I am not gonna stop until we find the one responsible for this. I will do everything in my power to make that bastard pay for such crime".
I looked at him and saw the firmness of his expression. I let myself cry in his shoulders. My heart's drowned under the deep blue of sadness. Memories starts creeping in. Those smile, laughter, happiness we all shared ...they bring me so much joy and meaning in life. Adeline, Ashanti, Jax....
I will avenge you.
