ZANDER
It was been two years since my I flew away to the other state with my dad after they decided to go on separate ways.
When my dad re-married and start a new family. I conclude about going back with my mother. My mom and my older sister Zia stayed in our family house.
Still living there except my older sister who goes to college in other town that far away from home. She is living alone now.
I still miss my hometown where I grew up. Not just that I misses my childhood friend and other friends I grew up with. Although, I can easily find new friends wherever I may be but still, it is somewhat different because my best friend was not there.
I talked to my dad what my plan was; at first, was kind of disagreement thinking that I was doing it because I was against of his new wife not girlfriend anymore.
Technically, his new wife was nice and good to me. I could not say anything bad about her. When we were living together even, they were not yet married. I could see how much he loves my dad and how much my dad loves her. I do not see any my bad about her; she treated me as her own so overall she was great.
I want to make them happy without me by their side to think about it. For starting a new level in their relationship. It should be the two of them. I am not a child anymore.
Besides, I want to spend my time with my mom before taking off to college.
I stated my valid reasons and explain everything. I know my father wants me to finish my education I understand his intention. He thought it over carefully.
So, here I am, back to my hometown. I arrived last night and set to meet up with my friends especially with my best friend Shane today.
We come to decision to meet up at the mall before school started few days from now.
While waiting for their arrival, I figured to grab some drinks before headed to the rendezvous as planned.
I got my drinks and ready to meet my friends when a girl bumped me. Luckily, my drinks did not spill out on me. She was busy looking at her phone. Shdm did not notice me when I stopped to avoid her. I got a little pissed with the incident, that is not me actually.
However, knowing that if it spilled my coffee on me and meeting the guys will it really cause my time. I know I was being rude I admit that. But I could not take it back when I heard her say what a gentle dog. My blood was burning hearing that she did not even said sorry at all if not I told her.
I shook my head for minding in my brain that little girl. For God's sake, she is not a little girl anymore, Zander. I scolded myself.
I paused when I realized that she seems familiar in some way. I keep on walking towards the direction with my friends and forget the incidents a while ago. It might ruin my mood.
I arrived just in time. My smile seems towards my ears when I saw them all. I could not believe I finally here and with my friends.
Shane saw me first and walked towards me. We hugged. "Finally, you are here after two years." He said smiling and hugging.
"Yeah, finally, I am back and we are together again until graduation." We both laughing and hugging with the rest of the gang. I really missed them, the bonding, the camping, everything about in this town were memorable to me. In addition, I am glad I am back, really back with them.
After we strolled around the mall and decided to crash in Shane's house. It was already late afternoon; he already told his mother that he would bring some friends. We rode in a different vehicle and meet up in his house. Of course, Shane did not bring his car so he rode with me.
We were talking nonstop until I asked him about his sister. "So, how was your little sister?"
"Wow, you spent two years away from here and you never mention asking about her. Why now?" Shane asked curiously.
"Well, we both know that we do have sisters. Now that we are going to your house it just pops it on my mind." I said defensively. "Besides, your sister is a boyish."
Honestly, I do not know why I suddenly asked about her sister we were not that close, super close. Though, I come to their house every now and then. Always was tagging along with us when we were just kids.
"Yeah, you are right. I even close with your older sister when you are here and even you are not here." He said then he continued. "Shay changed something good but it gives me a little nervous growing up."
"Huh! Why is that?" I raised my eyebrows wondering. "What kind of change she is right now?"
"You know, she is my only sister but if something bad happen to her I will kill for her." He said but I'm still in confusion.
"I don't get it and I do not know what you are talking about right now." Suddenly, Shane laughed. I do not know if he is joking or just tripping for welcoming me back in this town. "Whatever you are talking about! So, stop kidding okay!" I laughed.
We reached our destination in a couple of minutes since it just few kilometers away from our area. I parked my car and saw our friends parked behind. We jumped off and followed Shane to the house.
Her mother saw me first as I came together with her son Shane. "Hello Mrs. Cox, no long time no see." I greeted her with my sweet smile.
"Oh, Zander, it is good to see you again. We miss you hanging around in the house. I guess now I can see you more often." She said as she tapped my shoulder.
"I guess I am." I smiled grinning.
"Well, then, we will leave you guys and enjoy. I already cooked dinner for you all." She said then Dr. Cox came down from the stairs. "Oh, hello, Zander, looking more handsome, I see." He laughed.
"Hello, Dr. Cox, you are still looking good as always." I said smiling at him.
"Nah, I am getting old." He replied laughing at me. "Well, I guess, we will leave you guys because we will be heading out, Hospital duties.
'Bye Mrs. Cox and Dr. Cox' we all said then. They went out to the front door.
"Okay, guys, let's dig in with my mom's dinner. I am sure my sister will be going to be here in any minutes." Shane said to us and we followed him to the dining area.
