Chereads / My Nightclub! / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Alfred slowly looks around at the state of the streets surrounding his nightclubs. They are filled with garbage and aren't very appealing to look at and at every turn, there seems to be a group of people all donning masks; stopping people from knowing their real identity.

"This place looks dangerous. I should get to the nightclub as soon as possible." Alfred soon picks up speed and heads towards the location pointed to by gooble maps.

When he reaches the property, he looks at the state it's in. The walls are covered with graffiti and cobwebs, the roof looks as if it could collapse at any given second. Overall it looks like a haunted house except with graffiti smeared all over the walls.

'Urmmmm, this doesn't look promising...' The state of the nightclub greatly affected Alfred's confidence in running a great club, 'But this shouldn't stop me. It is all I have left after I sold my house and damaged my car.'

Yes. To afford this nightclub Alfred had to sell his home given to him by his parents. So this dream of his meant a lot to Alfred.

Alfred puts his keys into the lock and twists it. When he opens the door, it falls off and almost flattens him. 'Why was this even being sold!? It's in terrible condition. If I wasn't desperate, I definitely wouldn't buy this and I'm 100% sure nobody else would either...'

Alfred then walks into the club and when he does, it feels as if he just walked into a polluted smoke room. It stinks! The main bar room smells of cigars, vapes and cheap cigarettes, 'Pwahh what the hell! This is nasty!'

Alfred looks at the overall quality of the nightclub and he doesn't feel good at all. The quality is extremely bad and nobody would ever want to look at it, never mind come in.

As Alfred searches around, he comes across a button and he feels drawn in to press it. When his finger touches the button, his vision goes dark for a few milliseconds and when it comes back he becomes very shocked.

In Alfred's view, there is a semi-transparent sci-fi looking system constructing his view and on the system, there are 3 options:

[ ### Legendary Nightclub ###

{+} Status (!)

{+} Shop (!)

{+} Conversion (!)

{+} Lottery (!)

{+} Employees (!) ]

"Is, Is this the legendary system??" Alfred is in great shock as he reads the options. He feels connected to the system and as long as he wills it, the option will be selected so he wills the system to go to the 'Status' screen.

[ {-} Status

HOST NAME: Alfred van de Waal

AGE: 20

HEALTH: Mediocre; Fractured Left Arm

NET WORTH:

### NIGHTCLUB STATUS ###

LEVEL: 1

STATE: Disastrous; Worst of the Worst

CREDITS: 0

'Haha, this nightclub is the worst of the worst. There's no denying it' Alfred agrees with the system for once unlike the novels where the main characters hate the system.

Alfred then will for the system to open the 'Shop' screen and when he does, he is shocked.

[ {-} Shop

{+} Bartenders

{+} Security Guards

{+} Strippers

{+} Hookers ]

'Hookers! And I don't have to pay for employees anymore! Yes!!!' Alfred is overwhelmed and forgets the state of the nightclub. With this system, owning the greatest nightclub in existence is not a pipe dream anymore.

Alfred then investigates what type of things he can buy.

First off, the workers are separated into stars and so far, Alfred can only see the prices of 1★ workers. It's quite clear that the stars represent how good they do their job but when he sees the prices, his jaw drops to touch to ground.

A 1★Bartender costs 125 credits. For a person like Alfred who is very poor and could barely afford a cheap nightclub, this price is unreachable. He then goes on to look at the prices of the other workers and they are very similar in prices; a 1★Security Guard costs 150 credits and a 1★Stripper costs 50 credits.

Although Alfred doesn't know what currency a credit is, he has a feeling that it's very expensive.

Moving on from the shop, Alfred then moves onto looking at the 'Conversion' screen.

[ {-} Conversion

£1000:1 Credit

CONFIRM? ]

Yes. It was very expensive. 125 credits is £125,000 and that is only able to get the most basic bartender... How could Alfred afford a price like that?

But as if reacting to his thoughts, the system changes to the lottery screen and when it does, Alfred gets a big shock but suddenly turns into excitement.

The system is giving Alfred a 'Basic Starting Pack'. This fills Alfred with gratitude and without hesitation he opens it.

[ BASIC STARTER PACK OPENED!

1x 1★Bartender

1x 1★Security Guard ]

'Ohhhh hell yes!' The system gave him free workers! With this Alfred can start working!

But then he realizes the state the club is in. Nobody will ever think of coming anywhere near it.

However, Alfred then cheers himself up as when the lottery screen opened up, in the background he could see a 'Rebuild Ticket' and from the name he could guess the use of it.

It was to rebuild the nightclub.

Without further a due, Alfred opens up the lottery screen and instantly prays he gets it before spinning it. The few seconds it took to spin, felt hours for Alfred who was concentrating on that one item.

As if it was destined for him, the wheel stops on the 'Rebuild Ticket'. The screen changes as it gives Alfred a more detailed explanation of the item and how to use it.

[ Rebuild Ticket

Use: To rebuild the host's nightclub by giving him 3 examples out of hundreds he can choose from

How to use: Will it in your head and a new screen will pop up with 3 blueprints to choose from ]

Alfred quickly wills for it in his head and when he does, a semi-transparent screen pops up in front of his eyes.

The first option was a simple yet elegant build that was filled with a noble aura, fitting for the rich. The second option is a more futuristic build, that dons purple and pink lights; bringing out a very flirtatious mood out of the customers. It also includes a few strip stands to drastically increase the mood.

The third option was filled with very ritualistic, filled with skulls and dark paint, it has a big stage obviously for a rock band to play songs.

Alfred considered what to choose for a good few minutes before deciding. He would choose the second option. He thought it looked the best and would attract many customers. Also, there were strip stands for strippers.

Alfred definitely would want that, nobody wouldn't want that. Especially if strippers were an option in the shop. He was going to make the best nightclub ever and this was a requirement.

To attract rich customers, he needed an attraction. Strippers were the best attraction for the rich. If they were beautiful of course. But Alfred was only going to accept pretty strippers nothing less.

He selected the second option and as soon as he pressed confirm, an incredibly bright light blinded his eyes for a good 10 seconds and when they finally recovered he was startled.
