Dexter pushed Kaili's bed into the operating room with trembling hands. In his several years of working in the medical world, and almost every day playing with surgical instruments and with hands always drenched in blood, this was the first time Dexter felt very insecure about what he would do, seeing weak Kaili made him shrink even more.
