Chapter 86 - The Fortune Teller - Valeria

He began by canvasing the rubble for any signs of Crystal. He had no luck.

"Crystal!"

[Obitiga, yelling]

"Crystal!"

[Obitiga]

Hearing his screams Naraku began to regain his consciousness. Trying his best to mumble out the words here. He began to struggle, letting out a low cough, and spitting out blood. Crystal was still next to him unconscious as well, but now she had a small faint breathing pattern rising from her abdominal. You could tell she was alive.

"CRYSTAL!!"

[Obitiga]

Looking for some sign of them Obitiga pulls out his crossbow, and one of his special arrows, made from a fusion of light. He fires it into the distance, hoping his Gale would somehow exemplify the light to shine bright enough to see through all the dark soot and rubble.

Still searching for something to make a louder sound near him Naraku witnesses as the arrow passes by. Exploding into what seemed like a star, with no actual harm it lit up the surrounding area exposing the two of them.

"Naraku! Crystal!"

[Obitiga, as he rushes over to the two]

Kneeling he begins to check on Naraku's injuries, it seems he had severe frostbite, but the biggest issue was he had broken it.

"Where…Where's Twilight?"

[Naraku, trying not to black out]

"I had to set him off to the side, he seems okay. Uninjured even, but he's not waking up."

[Obitiga]

"Do you think the enemy did something to him?"

[Naraku, as Obitiga sits him up]

"I'm not sure. Maybe. when I came too there was nothing there but a pile of clothes. Not even a trace of Tiga."

[Obitiga]

"Tiga?"

[Naraku, confused]

"That was the Ringleader's name."

[Obitiga]

"Did you find out anything else?"

[Naraku, as Obitiga makes him drink a potion]

"No, after that she knocked me out."

[Obitiga, feeling unhelpful]

As Obitiga began to glow red and his frostbite seemed to dissipate you could see the relief in his eyes. As for his broken leg, with only one potion left Obitiga explained to Naraku that could only partially heal his leg, or Crystal would end up still unconscious. This meant that Naraku would need to bear the pain, while they headed back down to the Main Area of the Carnival. Agreeing, Naraku consumed half of the potion.

As Obitiga gave Crystal the other half, Naraku went about checking his leg. He had regained mobility enough that it was like walking on a sprain. Getting the final drops into Crystal Obitiga and Naraku lift her over their shoulders.

"Do you think she will be okay?"

[Naraku, concerned]

"Yeah, she's a fighter. This facility didn't burn down for no reason."

[Obitiga, smiling]

"How did she even do it? I thought she had an element of affiliation with Earth. Wouldn't fire be too far opposite for her?"

[Naraku, confused]

"Normally that's true, with the classification of elements and how they move it's definitely not possible for someone with one affiliation to move into another, especially one that is their exact opposite."

[Obitiga]

"Do you think it's because she's a Wizard?"

[Naraku]

"Maybe, they do have mastery of nature compared to the other classes. So she could have used a spell. Even so, to do this amount of damage she had to have risked something."

[Obitiga, as he looks around at the burnt down facility]

"Hopefully it's nothing too harmful, and she will wake up soon."

[Naraku]

"Hopefully."

[Obitiga]

Arriving at his body, Obitiga passes Crystal over to Naraku. Picking Twilight back up, they begin to head down to the Main Area of the Carnival.

It seemed to be a ghost town, with no one in sight. The alarms had long turned off as well.

"Do you think anyone is still in here?"

[Obitiga]

"No, they had to have all left by now."

[Naraku]

"At least they turned off the alarms."

[Obitiga]

"Should we head to the medical tent first? We might find some supplies there and maybe even a bed for these two to rest on.

[Naraku]

"Let's try that."

[Obitiga]

Heading over towards the medical tent the two were warry. They had a strange feeling of being watched, the same as Crystal when she brought them here the last time. Arriving at the medical tent they entered to see it ransacked. With broken potion bottles on the floor, missing blankets, and medical kits tossed around they did their best to clear an area for Twilight and Crystal to rest on.

"Do you think we will find any potions still laying around?"

[Naraku, stepping on a broken bottle]

"It definitely doesn't look that way."

[Obitiga]

"I see you have returned. How are you four?"

[The Fortune Teller, seeming to appear out of nowhere]

"W..we are good."

[Naraku and Obitiga, startled by her appearance]

"How did you get in here?"

[Naraku, confused]

"Well I walked through the front, isn't that how you enter any place?"

[The Fortune Teller, tilting her head in confusion]

"Weren't you supposed to have left with the others?"

[Obitiga]

"Yes, but my ability told me you may need this."

[The Fortune Teller, pulling out seven large potions]

Surprised, the two rush over and grab them. Obitiga places three into his backpack.

"How did you save these?"

[Obitiga, with joy as Naraku and him both take one]

"When we departed I had a voice speak to me. It told me to hurry and do so before the rest were to arrive. That young man, Twilight was it, the voice seems to need him alive."

[The Fortune Teller]

"What do you mean?"

[Naraku]

"I have no clue myself, the voice was not clear enough. No matter, now that my job here is done I will be moving on."

[The Fortune Teller]

"Wait, if you can really tell the future we could use you on the team. Why not travel with us?"

[Obitiga]

"I do not play well with others, especially as I continue to live, you have heard of the Xitagos?"

[The Fortune Teller, as Obitiga begins to nod]

"Then you know more about my kind, born to wander alone, as we have broken a taboo amongst the world of magic and essence. It will be safer for you as well."

[The Fortune Teller]

"Can we atleast know your name?"

[Obitiga]

"Yes, it is Valeria. And before I go I have some last parting words. The head of the island is no longer to the South or North, but to the West. As the Sun fades it can be found to the East. Through the meadow of every changing light you will find the child of both Lightning and Ice."

[Valeria, smiling]

"What is that supposed to mean?"

[Obitiga and Naraku, looking at each other confused]

Turning back to ask more of Valeria they are even more confused, and slightly startled to see she had left.
