Ann Nolan found it increasingly amusing. Humble?
She really didn't understand how Harper Glorian could say those two words to her.
"Miss Ann Nolan, usually be more amiable to people and learn to get along with others, so that when you fall on hard times, no one will kick you while you're down," Harper Glorian said indifferently, leaning against the car.
"Miss Glorian, your so-called amiability equates to flirting? I admit, a crying child gets sweets, and a little flirting often solves many problems. But I can't learn your ways. And, Miss Glorian, don't you know that women who rely on men are the least secure?"
Ann Nolan didn't make her point too explicitly.
With a man like Zaiden Santos, he might be kind to Harper today, but who knows about tomorrow?
She thought Harper would understand this principle, but she was obstinately clueless.
Since she was clueless, there was no need for further discussion.
