"You're not interested in this, and you're not interested in that, so why did you marry me in the first place?" Zaiden Santos said, annoyed.
"Young and foolish."
Ann Nolan uttered just six words indifferently.
Zaiden Santos felt a burning rage in his chest. He had been calm and composed, but now she had provoked him again.
He had been on a business trip for ten days, and she was still acting like this.
"I won't argue with you," Zaiden Santos conceded, with a hint of helplessness in his eyes. "No man argues with a woman."
He said that, but his arms did not relax; they remained firmly wrapped around her waist.
"Let go of me," Ann Nolan said angrily.
"Just let me hold you for a while. I came straight home after getting off the plane, waiting for you. I brought you a gift; see if you like it," Zaiden Santos said.
Ann Nolan frowned; Zaiden Santos hadn't drunk any alcohol today.
He freed one hand and picked up a handbag from beside him.
