"You don't have any relatives; Mr. Cheney is your friend," the doctor coaxed.
"Oh," Chris Fern didn't ask further.
The doctor had already told him these things.
The doctor had also said that he used to be a doctor, which accounted for his strong interest in medical equipment upon waking up.
Sylvan didn't linger in the ward any longer; he left quickly, with the doctor following behind.
