'This sucks, can we go to another restaurant?' She wanted to ask. She isn't a big foodie but she was yearning for some spicy food. She had her hopes up because they came to a good restaurant. All her hopes shattered when she saw the menu.
It was so damn simple. Stake, rice, and a few plants on the food with wine. She had forgotten all about American food since she had not been here for a while.
Her twins are big foodies so she would take them to all kinds of restaurants to try food of all different cultures, their tops were French, Greek Hispanic, and Indian. After satisfying their urge to taste different types of foods she got used to it as well.
She would often wonder where they got that appetite from. Certainly not from here nor their picky father.
Definitely not their picky father!
Noah is an insult to food. Seriously, he's the pickiest eater in the world.
She sighed and ordered her food.
"The same thing as her," Noah told the server and then ordered drinks. When the server left they were left in silence.
Silence. There was complete silence. It was quite suffocating really.
Adriana took a deep breath and looked elsewhere.
She would definitely not start any conversation this time.
"I can't believe we have reached this point...we can't even have a proper conversation anymore." He finally spoke, as uncomfortable with the silence as she was.
"Well, It would also be unbelievable if we could," Adriana replied.
"...."
"...."
Simon who had been listening in rolled his eyes.
"Well, look at what we have here haha. How are you all doing?" He waved his head. Both Adriana and Noah turned their heads in his direction.
"When did you arrive?" Noah asked.
"Just a few hours ago, actually I'm fresh out of the airport haha." Simon pulled a chair from an empty table across from them and took a seat at their table. "I see you finally decided to come out of Paris!" He turned to Adriana.
"What?" Noah asked.
"Simon…." Adriana rubbed her temple in frustration. A loose mouth like always.
"What? Did I miss something?"
"He knew…?"
Adriana gave Noah a nod in response.
"Oh….wow." He felt like landing a punch at Simon's face but he held back. The server came in and placed their meals in front of them.
"Can you bring me the same thing? Oh and add some wine for me as well, actually add some…" Simon continued ordering.
"Ummm...Sir ae you sure you want all that?" The server raised an eyebrow. "Of course! What do you take me for, when I go into a restaurant is to eat...alot…" He winked.
The server sighed and nodded his head.
Once he left Simon gave them all a grin. "You didn't answer my questions before. What's up?"
"I'm doing fine Simon." Adriana gave him a fake smile and started eating.
'I swear, if you bring James and Aria into this I'm going to break every bone in your body.' She sent him an even wider smile.
"Jeez...look at that she wants to break every bone in my body, doesn't she? She uses that threat a lot."
Adriana indifferently sipped her drink. She would definitely break him into two after this. She knew he revealed that to Noah on purpose. He's the one person she can't control. He always does whatever he wants. He's like a wild horse and she would never be able to tame it. You can threaten him with his life and he wouldn't wince a little.
You could give him all the treasures in the world and he would still only do what he chooses to do. This can be a good thing but also a bad thing.
And Adriana absolutely detests it. He's the greatest threat to her plans and yet the best help. She would have never told him about Aria and James if he hadn't found out on his own.
When James was 2 that's when Simon found out about his existence. He had the audacity to steal hair from her son's head and go to Noah and do the same. The man really took a DNA test!
She was so pissed off.
She looked at the 3-inch scar on his shoulder and she smiled again. That was the price he had to pay, oh and there were a lot more in other parts of his body. She was generous enough to not leave one across his handsome face.
"Nobody would blame her…..we all want to do the same sometimes," Noah replied cutting his steak.
Simon's mouth turned into an 'O'
He admits that he was quite annoying but breaking all the bones in his body? Damn, he felt quite offended.
"Alright…" He turned his eyes to the left and took a deep breath. "...I really need better friends…"
"So do I," Noah mumbled still hurt by the fact that Simon knew and didn't tell him.
"Since when?" He asked.
Maybe if it's recent he would be able to forgive.
"Around 4 or 5 years maybe?" Simon pulled out his fingers and started counting. "Ugh, you know I'm bad at math."
Noah placed his utensils down with a loud thud.
He stood up and gave Simon a glare.
"Enjoy your meals." He told them and strode away angrily.
"Oop- well he hates me now…." Simon sighed. No, he didn't feel guilty at all because he said it for a reason.
His plan?
To uncover this woman's mask all her secrets. At any cost even his own bones and even his precious face.
He gave Adriana a smile and started eating Noah's food.
"...." Adriana pursed her lips in disbelief.
'En, he'll thank me later.' He thought.
He would have told him she's alive as soon as he found out if he didn't fear she would kill him. It's not that he's afraid to die but who would reveal the truth if he does die?
"Next time I'll cut off your tongue."
"I would write it to him on paper."
"Your fingers."
"I can learn to write with my toes."
"I would cut that off too."
"Technology is interesting these days. There are still many other ways." He smirked.
Adriana's lips twitched. She picked up her utensils and started eating silently. "By the way, I heard Angel is still roaming freely and BREATHING which I'm very surprised since he knew Aria was with Noah and yet didn't tell you."
Adriana poured hot sauce on her food and responded, "I know why he did it so I spared him."
"And the reason is?" He asked.
"He wanted Noah to spend time with his daughter, he mentioned his health condition earlier so he must have thought Aria would help Noah relax. He texted me that it did work. Apparently, Noah stopped overworking himself and spent more time entertaining my daughter." Besides, Aria had fun and met her father even though she doesn't know that." Adriana explained calmly.
If Angel had purposely lured Aria to Noah then she would be mad but this time it was Aria who found Noah. Angel simply stalled so that she couldn't find Aria too soon. She was still a bit mad at that but Aria's happiness made her happy too.
"Yet….." Simon mumbled.
"If you cross the line I won't spare you, Simon. Think about what you do and say. You are already getting on my nerves I suggest you start being more cautious with that mouth of yours." She threatened.
"Yes yes, I know. Anyway, when are you going to finish Briana off?" He asked. He was waiting for that the most. Once Adriana is done with that he's sure he can safely start revealing things.
"I know what you are thinking."
"Really?" He pointed the fork at her face. "Then why aren't you doing anything about it?"
Adriana lifted the fork in her plate and played with it a little she then aimed it at his hand.
"Ah!"
The servers around them flinched and looked at him questioningly.
Simon slowly opened his eyes and saw the knife between his two fingers.
Damn, that was close….
