6100 Si, if this was my old world, how much would my face distort upon learning how expensive the total price is
I might even die on the spot... I cant even tell exactly if death insurance can save me for all that cost
●●●
Right now Xylene was finding wherever the fitting room was hidden away
"Oh!" She spotted one corner of the place that has a door in it, that must have been the fitting room
She went in to confirm her guess and to her surprise, first thing she saw a male guy's back while he's trying to wear a light armor
"Uugh" A visible twist appeared in her face as she quickly slam the door back and pretended she saw nothing more than a hallucination
"They should've separated things by gender or invented some sort of lock" She remembered how Erin barged into the room the same way she did just now, she was dying internally due to how bad her luck was today...
Not long after she recovered and went to the door beside it. Double checking if they literally had a lock, and to her surprise... they do exactly have one... 'The heck man!, Were you trying to intentionally kill me mentally!?' "Ughh"... she groaned in displeasure.
Over all she did not exactly need to undress or anything, but she knew that being a girl was a trouble
Wearing the hoodie, the belt along with the sheath, the plated gloves, and the Sling bag she looked at herself from up to bottom. There are no mirror in the room, probbably because there are metal armors ready to break it down right in the corner of the store
Now, she looked like an actual adventurer. Only if the clothes she had inside match up with the hoodie. Its like a black raincoat honestly. Could've taken a yellow one and she's basically gonna look like a kindergarten loli
"A loli with a blade huh, not bad..." we dont have Fbi on this world, so its gotta the lolis themselves' turn to get civilized
"Armed and ready to slaughter the enemies, Oniiiii-chaaaaan~♡" She giggled as she played with her lovely voice, while executing some poses
*Ahem Ahem* "Right... its time to return back"... her face turned red, realizing what shes doing by herself "Should I wear it as-is or have it wrapped up or something?"
She went out of the fitting room with the clothes and saw the guy earlier wearing the armor
"So its the first huh... righhht" She went down the stairs planning to head into the counter when hey eyes caught a glimpse of some staves at one corner
"Staff!" She exclaimed first thing after seing it
Many other people had started to come into the shop as the lunch break had finaly ended
Regular staves, Short staves, and Long staves. Each of them was displayed one after another...
However one thing she noticed was that they only had 6 varieties that had indications in them
__________
Willow Shortstaff (Fire) (Tier 1)
▪Durability :(Tier 1)
▪Magic Affiliation :(Tier 1)
__________
Fire, Wind, Earth, Water, Non-Elemental, Neutral
As for the 4 basic elements and 1 Non-Element, it was written that they amplify the respective element, but in return it reduce the power of the other elements
As for Neutral, it can freely switch through elements without problem and with no special trait added
__________
Willow Shortstaff (Neutral) (Tier 1)
▪Durability :(Tier 1)
▪Magic Affiliation :(Tier 1)
__________
The obvious part however is that the shop doesn't have any other more types available anywhere. Plus the fact that its only at the level of Tier 1
"The size of regular and long staves were clearly bigger than me" She said while her head was looking upward... "I can use magic without them so I guess I'm still fine when doing magic"
She walked past it and headed into the counter before greeting the man
"6100 Spirin" Xylene said to the man
The man raised his eyebrows upon hearing the amount "6100?" he said to himself 'Were she somekind of rich girl?'. Naturally the price sold at his place were lower than the specifically tailored and commissioned items, since it was a ready-made. But for the total price to piled up to that amount is another matter
He double checked the entry and confirmed the total result 'So she knew the actual value..., but then why is she spending this much in one go even tho she was only rank 2?' he sighed inwardly "It was indeed 6100 Spirin"
Xylene took a gold coin from her pouch and put it on top of the counter with no change on her face
'Err... this girl... she's small but she didn't even bat an eyelid when taking out a gold coin' he exclaimed inwardly while facing the same girl
A total change of 93,900 Si. Its quite obvious the difference between the coins. Gold weren't easy to come by and it only ever happens for high paid commissions on guilds or life time savings of other peoples... The lowest salaries were at the rate of Copper, and that is for the lowest hierarchy, as for the highest, it pays with a number of gold per month
For a single kid to posses a gold is no ordinary feat, unless she's a noble. 'Anyways, this is a trade inclined kingdom, this much should still be possible'
"Little miss, for you to posses that amount of money, do you have a Storage Bag?" The middle aged man said while tacking out one as an example
"I don't..." She looked at the bag with curiousity. The way the man said was as if he was boasting about it, the word Storage Bag reminded her about stories she had heard before. The thing is that it wasnt clear to her yet
"Its priced at 1 Large silver for a size of a squared meter" He handed one to the girl in front of him "Ita a magical bag that can fit the same size as a crate, you can fill it with items inside without it affecting the weight of the bag itself. And just a reminder... the items stored inside would be released outside the moment the enchantment breaks"
Xylene nodded on the explanation and began to observe the said bag. It was a small pouch that can be held on the arm, she inserted her hand but it didn't went any deeper, instead... it gave her an image of a small empty room inside her mind
"And you can't insert any living things inside. The space inside was limited so it would restrict you when you overload the bag. The shop can only offer this type of bag, if you are interested to buy bigger ones, you would have to visit magic related stores for that. The cost mostly depends on the size"
Xylene nodded and proceed to buy the said Storage Bag, she then inserted her improvised pouch inside and it miraculously went inside with no problems. She did not need to unload it or change it. After that she inserted the rest of the Large Silvers
She was happy by the purchase and decided to go outside now
She then returned back to the ship, with high spirit
●●●
She went back into the ship right away to check up each and everything she bought
After that, she immidiately down her face into bed...
Erin was on the bed soundly sleeping and after a little while, Mayrine also went into the room
Mayrine was surprised to see Xylene carrying stuffs when she first went back into the ship. Seing her like that, Mayrine got a little curious. Sadly however, the moment she went inside, Xylene was already sleeping on the bed. It is quite obvious that she fall asleep due to being tired after the day
Mayrine could only do a helpless smile, as if a mother looking at her sleeping child
"Sheesh, why are you so cute" Mayrine exclaimed to the sleeping girl in front of her. She kneel to the ground and watches how Xylene slept
A thin soft breathes and soundless fumes. Mayrine couldn't help and pinched Xylene's cheek "Geez, its just too soft", she repeatedly pinched her cheeks and felt the warmth in her hands. Its like Xylene's cheeks never had any bone and you could just treat it as a soft cushion
Mayrine giggled, a cute defenceless child was laid in front of her. All her tiredness from earlier work vanished as she basked on the warmth in her hands
*click*
"Ahem Ahem, little Mayrine what are you doing in there?" A muffled voice sounded just from behind her ear. Its as if she was suddenly thrown a cold water
"Sis!?"
"Ara~ Dont make a voice or you'll wake her up~"
"No uhhm, I can explain"
"Explain? huuf huuf~, sooo~ you did something?"
"Ehh uhmm... " Mayrine was at a loss
"Ahaha relax, just don't wake her up"
The two of them sat in front of Xylene playing with her face. Its like they both felt like they are once again united like a full bond sisters, all for the sake of pinching a defenceless child's cheek
●●●
"Uuuuh" Xylene woke up a little troubled. She put her hand on her face only for it to get wet for some reason
"Was it just me, or something's totally wrong with my sleeping habit?" she can't help but raise an eyebrow to the situation
"Anyways..." She stood up from the bed and take a mouthful of yawn. She then stretched out abit and glanced at the items she had bought earlier
She felt kind of refreshed, so she wont be needing to sleep for a while...
She wore the Hoodie on along with the gloves and the leather boots. The hoodie was like a robe that reaches until her legs, the sleeves were long enough until her wrist. The gloves was reaching her whole arm so it will overlap the sleeves, as for the metal plates, it was sewn on tops and was specifically woven to cover all parts exept for joints. As for the Boots, it reached above her knee while a few belts were fully wrapping it around the calf
Over all she actually looked nice in it. That set aside however... the innerwear's color totally doesn't match. It feels like a worker set of clothing... kind of fashion
The sword's sheath was attached to the belt. As for the current Storage Bag, it was gently hidden away on the Sling Bag, and she didn't bring it. It had slots to fit in the belt, but its currently empty and its risky with her money being inside
She put the Rapier on the sheath and walked outside the room
Based on the scheduled events... it was that, she will most likely encounter the three at this point of time. And she really did encounter them grouped up doing their business
She wasn't feeling hungry yet and she doesnt want to disturb them, so she just went out of her way to go outside of the ship, just beside the platform
Few fishes were going past below her, and she was just watching them swim under her using the night vision
She was reminded of the days when some fishes would creep up her legs with some kind of slimy texture
"hehe" remembering how they tickled her, a laugh escaped her mouth...
"Right... about magic" She remembered the stuff that was bugging her lately
Magic... she knew she had to improve more on this aspect. But she dont really know much beside a few reference
Whenever she wield a weapon, her mind shift only to focus on that one specific weapon. Likewise when she switched into magic, she always had to stop whatever she's doing and focus on the image of the magic. Looking at it, her ability were severly lacking and that she can't even multitask at all
A perfect 'one at a time' mind set. She knew how limited her abilities were, only just by this conclusion, as the people always say 'only the person themselves knew of their own the best'
One thing she's grateful at was her unexplainable danger sensing. Whether it was brought upon by a skill, or an influence of a third party its still just a mystery...
Now that she remembered, one variable that she completely disregarded was the existence of the stat page. The not so interesting but important part of the status...
She heaved a tired sigh and endup being downcast... "I'll train my magic as early as possible"... she focused on herself and imagined her body getting loaded with mana. As of now she's still limited to transferring a fixed amount into her body and using it all as a fuel before loading herself once again
'You can literally spot its inefficiency', and that is you have to fill it up manually whenever it runs out
"Do I really need to go to that academy or something?" she casted a piece of water spear and manually shoot it down into the water, it literally hit an unfortunate fish killing it in the process
"Ah, my bad..." as she apologize to the fish. She brought upon several other more topics that was lagging her recently
[Water Magic: Water Spear]
Apart from the usual status and stuff, the system change brought upon a new confusion to her
Scanning her mind, she did her best to remember most of the status contents...
"Right..." This time, she willed to see her status...
But it didnt happen...
That part surprised her the most...
"So... I... uhh... then how do I do it then?" She thought and thought but it just only ended up in vain...
She called upon her mana once again and erupted a fire arrow spell, right then she casted it straight down the water under the guidance of a bullet
The result was a large sound of sizzling and alot of steam and smoke...
It alarmed the ones on the ship, sending their gazes to the direction of Xylene
She could hear their steps and mutters, but right now she was still feeling down and decided to just ignore it
She had affinities with so many elements, her highest stat was Int, she had a skill that was at the level of 10, and she had a weird race name of Sovereign Dragon
Thats all she could remember being her highest point...
Swordsmanship, Throwing, Blacksmith, Alchemy, Spearmanship, and Stealth...
This ones appeared as if they were just specification skills...
Apart from all that, she could no longer remember the rest
"Arrg this was troublesome"
She went back to the ship and met the 3 at the dock, they were rather curious as to why she was acting a little different than before
She ate first before heading down to sleep
As for her plans for tomorrow, her expectation wasn't too high, but she still expect something
