The night was dark. The clouds had already done what they could do to help the poor women. She had made the weather dreadful and was quietly planning to escape the horror.
Never did she ever thought that, her own clan would betray her!
Keeping the child close to her bosom, she ran with all her might. She had been running continues for the last two days. She wanted to take a rest or at least have a drop of water. But what could she do! She doesn't have a single minute left to waste. One mistake, both she and her precious child will knock at the death door.
The night became worse. The rain was at it's peak while the moon hid in fear.
She reached a city, which she can't recognize. Her legs had worn-out. But for the sake of child, she continued to run to find a hide out.
In the street light, her whole body was glowing. Her beauty was something that no one could compare it with. Her skin was white and what special about her, was her eyes. It was blue as ocean!
She ran inside a hospital and entered a room. Closing the door behind, she panted. She knew her death is near.
Raising her head, she scanned the place.
A woman was lying on the bed, sleeping deeply. Beside her was a newly born child.
Moving towards the women, she looked at the baby and whispered in the ear of the women.
"Sorry... But I have to. For the greater good... please lend me your child. I will give you mine. Keep her safe. God will bless you."
She exchanged her child with hers and started to run. While the child, which is now in the hospital started to cry for his mother who is soon to be dead.
She heard her child's cries. But what could she do? There is no other way left. Without looking back she ran away to the distance.
She wanted to have a few more minutes with her child. At least, she wanted to bid a proper goodbye before parting. But....
She hugged the new child and kissed its forehead.
'Sorry, I am sacrificing you for my child. May you rest in peace. And thank you....'
Before she could complete;
"Ahhh..."
A spear pierced through her heart.
Falling on her knees, she bit her lips, trying not to let any sound out. The child who was sleeping all the way till now woke up and started to scream.
With the strength she left, she hugged the child and started to sing a song:
The wind has lost its power;
so is the water?
As the air turned sly,
the water is still;
becoming stagnant.
Is it the end of the day and the beginning of the endless moonless night?
Don't know...
But there is still hope that
The sun will rise....
She closed her eyes accepting the fate.
A man of nearly 7 foot came towards her and...
CHAAA....
Her head flung away scattering blood all over the place.
The another man reached from the opposite direction.
He took the weeping child and...
PAAA...
Another blood scattered all over.
Other group of men reached the scene, and silently watched the events. With regrets, they left without turning back; while those who killed her whispered few words and left the place...
Thus the bloody night ended...

10 years later...
"Broooo...brooommm.....peep, peep.....broommmm....Mommy.....peep...peep."
A girl of ten years old, entered into the kitchen wearing a blue floral frock.
"Come here you naughty girl!" Her mother, Eddile bent down and pinched her cheeks.
"Eee..." The girl smiled a mischievous smile and ran away.
"Going out? Remember to come home before dark" Eddile reminded her daughter.
Coming out of the house, she departed straight to the park in her imaginary bike.
"Broom...broooo...peep...peep..."
She was just about to enter the park when she heard someone calling her name.
"Eldoris... Eldoris.... help me.....he is snatching my ice candy..." Chatharin her best friend cried. A boy was pulling her hand to get the ice candy.
Seeing her friend in trouble, Eldoris Put away her imaginary bike and ran towards her friend; who was in the middle of the park, beside a fountain.
Pulling Catharin behind, Eldoris yelled.
"How dare you! How dare you bully my friend!"
She was trembling with anger.
"Ohho... This is your friend! Oh! I am scared!" He teased. The boy was of twelve or more. He had a huge body with protruding stomach. He used to bully children and snatch their things.
Chatharin rolled her eyes while Eldoris glared at him without blinking.
'He can moke her, but not Cate'. She thought and...
CLUK...PAA.... CREE.…
The fountain cracked and started to splash all the water on the boy.
"Ahh...so cold....aahhh..." He tried to dodge. But for his bad luck, wherever he moved, it followed him.
"Mama....." He cried out and bounced away with his protruded belly. The scene was worth to be seen.
"Hahaha..." Catharin laughed out loud. "Eldie, tell me how did you do it. Tell na, quick!"
"What? I didn't do anything."
"Don't lie. I heard you murmur something!"
"Really?" Eldoris asked astonishingly. "Either way, let's go. The sun is setting. Mommy will scold me."
"Okay. Let's go." Catharin head towards the exit concentrating on her precious ice candy while Eldoris followed her.
In between her steps, Eldoris turned her head and glanced at the fountain.
A wicked smile flashed across her face.
