Chapter 1 - Chapter One

Shikki Kokoro. The name of a imbecile. A Idiot. Baka. Time had been his. All his to do with as he pleased. Yet he cowered below the power becoming utterly useless to everyone and became lower then scum.

Then Again, Shikki Kokoro is me, Guess i'm the scum of all the land. Haha, Makes perfect sense. I regret being a cowered and not using what was once mine. Because now, It no longer is mine.

Had it still been mine, I Could have saved everyone from the pain of learning the truth. But if I Regret It, Time will consume me once more. So that leaves one question.

And I've already made up my mind. Time will grant me one more request. Reset.

Thousands Upon Thousands of Years Ago, Time Stopped. Everything stilled as the atmosphere grew heavy and cold. Clouds darkened the sky seeming to not be involved with time. And in that moment, 12 Lives were not frozen.

Each individual Looked up at the sky each thinking something different. As they each in turned discovered everyone was frozen they couldn't stop thinking of what would happen instead of caring for the situation.

Most people who would get the chance to have time frozen for them would have gone crazy and done what they wanted. But, The 12 were different. None of them took advantage, but it wasn't like they could. Because for each and everyone of them.

Well, ...Each saw a crimson glow outlining everything, and with that...They were no longer in control of there bodies. They all blacked out only to awaken with a blank memory, yet there bodies remembered the shock.

Shikkie, I Mean Me, Was the only one who remembered the incident, but not all of course. During that time though, I Can for sure say..Time gave us everything.

As each of us blacked out before time un-froze we were given one thing. It felt as if time went through our conscience in order to supply us with something to call our own.

I've no clue what time gave the others, but for me..I Was given a reset button. Only something many would and could dream of. But the reset doesn't work the way you would think.

My reset doesn't reset time in the current place. Rather, It's like switching worlds to a time where a event hasn't occurred yet.

Although that's the catch. That's why I was a cowered. Because I Knew if i had to switch to someplace else for a reset, I felt as if there was no reason to reset.

Now, The time has come, The time for the greatest reset in all history. And with that. May we meet next reset.

Resets Are Typically Pretty easy in novels. But this is no novel, in fact, even with this ability A reset can take a lot to do. 1 You need to actually wish for the reset. 2 You have to be willing to screw up and maybe die in the process. 3 You must understand, It will never truly work the way you want it to.

You may be wondering how I know this despite never having done a reset til now. The truth is, it's common knowledge.

Since I'm finally willing. I'll Lock up this sense of regret so that I May reset.

"With a snap of my fingers Reset is now" Yeah, I Have to say that aloud, Pretty Dorky. I Can't panic even though my vision is blurry and my legs feel like jelly. It's like a Out of body experience. My body feels so heavy. Collapsing to the ground my eyes clothes with a sense of relief that this horrible experience that caused the clock to break may be avoided.

I felt as if I Had been drifting for many hours. As if time sped by and I knew the difference. As I glow of light started to fill my vision after being flooded in water it seems, I could finally see a bit. With a blistering headache pounding like my heartbeat I sat up slowly. I clenched my hands looking down too see and feel warm lush green grass. If not for my curiosity and want to explore, then honestly, I could have spent all day here. Maybe night too! Getting up from the warm grass, with one last longing glance, I walked away. Looking high and low I seemed to be in a forest. Finally taking the initiative I walked over to a small glistening pond. As I Leaned over the pond, With shock I realized I look similar to both the old me and the me here. Except for the fact my hair was longer then It use to be, Yet it remained coal black. My hair was pulled back in a ponytail despite being a male. The only other different thing was my eyes and clothes. I stared deeply into two violet eyes which seemed to be looking right back at me. I wore a silky blue kimono with intricate white and silver wisps covering it.

"This kinda Reminds me of all those Isekai's I Read..."

I mumbled to myself aloud As I straightened my back. Recalling all Those Isekai Mangas I had stashed in my previous high school desk, I knew things wouldn't go the way I planned. Oh Carp Fishes. My mangas...My precious..Precious mangas. Having been (I Still Am) A otaku, My mangas and anime were everything to me. They helped me judge the world around me, even if it was a little unfair.

"Fish Fish Fish, I Should Have tried holding onto my mangas in my hands To see if they would reset too."

I Felt like crying. And yes, I'm not one for cussing. Besides, I like making funny words for everything instead. Like a hobby. I Found myself Glancing left and right before ever moving. Like a chameleon in a way.

"ACK!" I Instantly Started running the second I heard the yell and twigs breaking. I don't remember ever being able to run much. Even in my original world I was sickly and couldn't run much. I guess sooner or later I need to find out If any of it carried on with me. Whatever was behind me continued to run and crash through the trees like butter. I never glanced back, yet still I could see each and every branch fall one after the other. I Heard something whiz by as I saw spots in my vision. Whatever had hit me caused me to move slower but I felt nothing. Maybe I Was hit and all this was adrenaline. Everything went quiet as I Finally spotted the edge of the woods, But seeing as how small this was, maybe it wasn't a forest. I Gingerly lifted my hand to touch my head as my speed slowed to a jog. My hand pulled away slowly covered in blood.

"Well Ship."

My head snapped up remembering the danger nearby. It was too late. I cringed as a mangled figure jumped out of the forest in my general direction. It's bright white teeth had a green slime like substance dripping off them. Taking a step back, it's dog like figure warped into something horrible. My eyes widened at this newfound thing. Had I still been in my other world I would have been happy to read a fiction book involving a horrid monster. But boy, Did your mind change when it was right in front of you, about to eat you. I Cried inwardly. I'm already short enough..

My mind drifted off thinking about each and every option. Almost as if time was moving much slower to suit the need to stay calm.

Overthinking things is one of my worse qualities but Meh. It keeps me from worrying. Although, In this case.

This was the worst timing. With a sudden growl my head was jerked back as my hair was being pulled by whatever it was.

Leaning back i could see more clearly regarding the monster features. It didn't truly have a face. At least not one worth mentioning.

It's face seemed to be melting. So that must mean the green slime in his mouth..is blood?

I burst out laughing despite that the bloodied half horse and half goblin (At least what it looked like to me) was about to either eat me or kill me.

Maybe both. But I was unable to process anything so I couldn't help but laugh and cry.

Also, The green blood looked to much like my brother when he decided to dump his head in slime.

A happy moment, flashback before death I guess. As it's teeth zoned in on my neck I decided to nickname it a blob on legs. But that's when things got worse. It's horrid teeth crunched and locked in place around my neck as if it were butter.

I actually wouldn't have mind dying. I know, morbid and edgy huh? Although it's much better then dealing with what happened before reset.

My self preservation kicked in despite my dismay.

I started to struggle and wiggle out of it's way but it only sunk it's teeth deeper into my throat until I could move no more.
