We successfully made it to cerulean city and collected our reward from the police department. Cerulean was much nicer than what i remember there were all sorts of water fountains and beautiful artwork everywhere. The streets were crowded with people eager to see the sensation sisters water show. Daisy, violet, and lily. They pretty much just turned the gym into their own personal playground and stopped doing gym battles and just handed out badges since they didn't want to fight.
We however weren't going there right now as Luna wanted to go and see the nugget bridge. There was always an event going on for a trainer to battle against 5 trainers and win a golden nugget as a prize.
When we got there Luna informed me that one of the Pokémon I was looking for was nearby and I should go get it while the girls participated in the battles on the bridge.
This was good news.
She pointed me in the proper direction and I quickly ran off to find my new Pokémon.
I had to use a special power for this as this Pokémon was a pain in the ass.
I activated an area lockdown technique and sure enough I found the Pokémon I was looking for sitting in the grass looking around confused.
It kind of looked like a weird yellowish gold cat with a brown chestplate. It was an Abra.
I tossed out wartortle. "Use bite!" I told it and aimed towards the Abra. He rushed off in a hurry and chomped down on the smaller psychic Pokémon. It tried to teleport away but failed since I had the area locked down.
"Water gun." I tell wartortle who blasts the Pokémon at point blank range making it roll across the ground from the attack.
I toss a pokeball out and wait for the capture. Abra is already a lazy Pokémon and with the damage done to it he doesn't even struggle.
I head back to the bridge to watch the girls battle I'm not allowed to participate since they had already beat some of the trainers and they needed to head off to heal their Pokémon.
Hinata was the one battling so her bulbasaur could evolve. It was Bulbasaur versus a nidoran.
Right now it was currently slamming it into the ground by its leg with one of its vines. It didn't take long for the other trainer to admit defeat.
I rejoined the group and we moved on to the next opponent which was a boy who had an ekans. Hinata started off with a stun spore before having Bulbasaur just beat on it with its vines until defeat. She was actually pretty ruthless. There was a flash of light and then Bulbasaur was no more in its place stood a proud ivysaur. It was pretty much the same size as my wartortle.
The opponent didn't have anymore Pokémon so we got to move on to the next opponent. The last one had a bunch of caterpie and weedle. It was a cake walk for the newly evolved ivysaur. Couple of tackles and stunspores and they were out of commission.
Since they had already beat two others when I left all that we had to do now was collect the prize. The man at the end of the bridge looked at the intimidating group and gave us the nugget and didn't say anymore before quickly fleeing the area. This was a team rocket grunt in charge of finding strong people to join and if they refused he would force them to join by using his Pokémon. What he didn't know was I robbed him of all the nuggets he had when he left so he would probably be in deep trouble when he reported back.
Now this area was a haven for grass type Pokémon and Hinata wanted to catch herself a bellsprout since she thought they looked cute. We set up a small area and Brock would be making some Bbq while Hinata used her byakugan to find her next flower friend.
I was currently using some potions on the beat up Abra who didn't have a care in the world and was comfortably snoring away. Abra sleep around 18 hours a day and have the annoying ability of being able to teleport even while sleeping and teleport once every hour to keep itself safe. It needs to sleep because using its powers like that causes huge mental strain on it and drain it of energy.
I have special food for it and it can now sleep safely as long as it wants without having to teleport and waste energy.
The only annoying thing is that it only knows teleport. It doesn't learn a single other move until it evolves. So I've got to use my free TM Luna allowed and buy it something. Of course the logical answer is to buy psychic. I quickly purchase the item and pop it onto the strange creatures head. There's a glow of the item as it learns the move. While still sleeping it starts stuffing food into its mouth.
Lazy little fellow.
I feed the other Pokémon and give Brock some special food for his Pokémon aswell. He has learned to not ask too many questions and just accept things.
I take out some training guides for the Pokémon I have and begin browsing through them. It's always good to have tips and tricks. Our evolved Pokémon are much bigger than normal as they eat really good Pokémon food so that's good. It's only a few inches and a couple of pounds but bigger is still bigger. I'm in no rush to just power evolve them. The only one I might do that for would be Hinata's oddish when it turns into a gloom as I heard they stink. But there might be some kind of food or item to prevent the stink.
Oh well I just sit next to my Pokémon who are curiously examining their new friend. When I had the game in my previous life I had a nice kadabra and a shiny haunter but when I traded them to a friend to evolve them he took off with them. Pissed me off. Do you know how many hundreds of eggs I hatched for a shiny ghastly?!?! This time I can just swap with the girls and swap back for it to evolve.
