"Well I guess it's time to chat with our little guest don't you think xun'er?" I say with a smile.
She just gives me a confused look.
I force a lot more energy into the tiny black ring in my hand and soon a figure is forced out.
"So your the thieving little shit who made my previous life quite miserable right?" I ask the figure.
"Hehe, kid, you don't need to be so mad do you? I only took three years of your Dou Qi." The transparent elder smiled and said.
"Your not going to try to spin this into some kind of life lesson are you? Like 'oh with all these years of humiliation and betrayal you've sorted out your real friends and grown wiser to the people around you.' That kinda bullshit right?" I stare at the floating man.
he raises a finger and opens his mouth before closing it and looking away. "So nice place you got here." he says sweating internally.
"You do know I have the ability to strangle you even if your a ghost right?"
"Fine fine but you understand that if I didn't do that i would have really died right? But since you've maintained my life for three years you can make three requests from me." he says looking at me.
heh sucker.
"Deal for my first request I want you to be my teacher in alchemy. For my second request I want a part of your bone chilling flames a simple wisp will do. For the third I'll come up with it later." I tell the man.
The bone chilling flame is a flame ranked number 11 on the heavenly flames list. It's a pure white flame that burns with extreme cold. I'm rather curious how something made of fire burns with cold air.
His eyes narrow at my requests.
"How do you know I'm an alchemist and how do you know I'm the owner of the bone chilling flame." he asks with a cold voice.
"Well considering I'm the owner of flames myself I can sense it on you. Not to mention do you think you can really hide all the items inside that ring of your from my senses? All kinds of herbs and even a giant alchemy cauldron?"
he looks at me in shock. "What do you mean you also own flames?" in front of me a bunch of different flames appear.
Dragon fire, Phoenix fire, the Golden Crows flames, The first flame from hephaestus.
He doesn't recognize most of them but he can tell they are mostly heavenly flames. I explain what they are and what they can do.
"But how can you tell what's in my ring the only way you can do that is if you have a stronger soul power than me?" he asks.
"That's because I do." having absorbed soul energy from the azure dragon the primordial phoenix and the golden crow along with the tons of other souls I've absorbed in my life I'm pretty sure it's crazy at this point.
"Well that could be a problem if your going to be an alchemist." he ponders over the strange turn of events.
"Why would that be a problem?" I ask.
"Well usually requirements for being an alchemist are the ability to control either wood or fire essence and having a decent amount of soul power." he tells me.
"The biggest problem usually is that people have too little soul power and can't properly control their flames. Your problem will be the same except in the opposite case." he tell me.
"So I basically have too much soul energy and it would be like trying to control a match stick with a bulldozer." I ponder.
"I don't know what a bulldozer is but your probably on the right track." he comments.
"Well I guess it's good I have this then!" I pull out a book. [Basic Soul Control for dummies!] It's like the problem with Chakra all over again except this time with my soul. I only ever use my soul to spy on people and pressure people other than that I don't think I've used it much.
He just looks at the book. "I don't know if that will help much but go ahead."
"So you accept the deal?" I ask the man.
"Sure I've got nothing to lose." he summons a small wisp of flame and passes it over towards me.
I quickly absorb it as the temperature around the area drops. Curious stuff.
I poof up a few clones and toss the ring to one of them. "Well you can stay here and teach them the basics about alchemy while I go on a magical adventure." I tell the man.
I pop out of the kingdom with xun'er following. I've got a nice tent and supplies ready I mean what kind of adventure would it be if you don't use a real tent. It kills off some of the adventure.
Now what's the first thing we usually do in a new world? That's right we raid the markets for new stuff and I happen to know that there are indeed items here I can use in the kingdom such as elemental monster cores.
The monster cores of this world have a massive amount of violent energy stored in them that would cause problems for anyone who tried to absorb them. But they are good for use in alchemy. When refined by flames and added to medical herbs they can be used for cultivation. But they can also be used in weapon forging and if I didn't bring some back I'd probably have to deal with hephaestus pouting at me all the time until I did.
News outside quickly spreads about what happened in the clan with the young master beating up an elder from the misty cloud sect and divorcing Nalan Yanran before running off with xun'er to elope. All sorts of different stories where told including how the patriarch resigned and robbed half the clan before going. There where stories on how the young master hid his powers for years to get rid of people bothering him. Also stories of me finding a magical treasure or cultivation technique and rising from the ashes in a day. This of course would cause many fun problems in the future.
