"Next, Xiao Xun Er!"
Among the commotion, the tester's voice sounded yet again.
Following the calling of this highly reputable name, the group of people quietened down immediately. Every single gaze turned.
At the centerpoint of attention was a teen girl clad in a purple dress, elegantly standing there. Her calm, tender and immaculate face was completely unaffected by the many gazes of the crowd.
Her calm and indifferent attitude could be compared to the blooming of a lotus. At such a young age, she already had the air of a refined lady. It would be hard to imagine how she would affect the city and the nation once she grew up.
This purple dress girl, if compared to Xiao Mei in terms of beauty, was clearly several leagues above. It's no wonder the crowd would have this kind of actions.
Taking small, graceful steps, the girl named Xiao Xun Er walked up in front of the stone monument. She stretched her small hand out and the purple sleeve mixed with black and gold threads fell down her arm, revealing a delicate snow-white wrist. She touched the monument lightly.
In the silence, the monument shone once more.
"Dou Zhi Li, 9th stage! Rank: High!"
Looking at the words on the monument, the entire square fell into deep silence.
"... She really reached the 9th stage, how frightening! The position of the youngest high rank in the clan has been taken, without a shred of doubt, by Miss Xun Er!" After the silence, several teens couldn't help but wolf whistle, their eyes full of respect and awe.
Dou Zhi Li was essential towards being a Dou Zhe. Dou Zhi Li is split into 10 different stages, and when the body acquires 10 stages of Dou Zhi Li, it can better condense the Dou Zhi vertex, becoming a well-respected Dou Zhe!
In the crowd of people, Xiao Mei stared at the purple dress girl in front of the monument with a little jealousy.
Looking at the results on the monument, the middle-aged tester who would normally be indifferent smiled, faced her and congratulated her: "Miss Xun Er, half a year later, you should be able to condense the Dou Qi vortex. If you succeed, you'll be a Dou Zhe at the age of 17, the second person to do so in the Xiao clan.
Of course, the second person. First would be the fallen genius, Ryan.
"Thanks." The teen girl nodded her head lightly, her calm face showing a little happiness because of his praise. She quietly turned, and in the midst of the crowd's attention, slowly walked to the fallen genius in the back of the group.
"Brother Ryan." At the youth's side, the teen girl stopped. She faced me and bowed respectfully. Her beautiful and gentle face showed a elegant smile which would make the surrounding girls jealous.
"Yo. Good job!" I say with a smile and pat her head. I had good memories of this girl in my head. Even when this body was down and out this girl always stood by its side. Those are the good friends.
"You seem different somehow?" She looked at me curiously.
"Oh what seems different? Or maybe I just grew more handsome?" I chuckle.
the girl slightly blushed and hit my chest with her hand. "Stop joking around. But seriously you do seem different what happened?" She asked.
"A great change is coming." I said with a smile.
she just looked at me for a minute. "I'm sure that whatever is wrong with your body will dissappear soon and then you'll be back to your old self in no time."
"Oh your still on about that? I already figured it out." I reply.
Her eyes widen in shock. "Really that's great so what's wrong with your body?" She asked eager to hear.
I hold up a little black ring. "You see this ring?" I ask her and she nods.
"What if I told you that it's slowly been draining my cultivation over these past few years." I tell her flipping the ring in my hand like a coin.
Her eyes sharpen and a fierce aura is let out momentarily before being hidden without anyone noticing but me.
"So this is the cause of your suffering these past few years?" She asks with a hint of something menacing in her voice. Overprective waifu must get.
"Yep." I say with a smile.
"Quickly give it to me or throw it away." She says in a firm voice and holds out her hand.
"No can do princess." I say with a smile dodging her hand which tried to take it away at an extreme speed.
Her eyes widen in shock as I shouldn't have been able to dodge that. I hold a finger up to my lips and make and shushing noise.
She follows behind me as I head off towards the clans woods just to relax.
I'm sure she has a billion questions but eh they can wait a bit.
I got through some of my memories and like most cultivation world's this one relied on cultivation manuals at different ranks and different elements. So of course we being the godly legends that we are have to have the absolute best of the best.
[Purchased Basic elemental Cultivation Manual Perfected.]
I pulled out the book and started reading it getting a shocked look for xun'er as in this area spatial rings are rare.
I pass her over a manual. "Only your able to read this book and if you try to tell anyone about it like your clan or write it out you'll find it impossible so have fun."
She reads the cover and looks at me in doubt. Before sitting next to me and starting to read.
You see most manuals aren't complete or they veer off the true path of cultivation and focus on a single path for ease and simplicity.
Stupid. Just focus on the basics like I've said before. Sure you'll be a little weak in the beginning but what happens when you get higher up and have mastery over everything and you've built a sturdy foundation that can't be shaken.
A basic fireball becomes a roaring sun. A waterbullet becomes a tidal wave. A gust of wind becomes a hurricane. A basic slash can cleave a planet in two.
beside me the curious girls eyes slowly go from doubt to shock. I feel her start rotating her cultivation next to me. Her cultivation drops like a rock but what happens is the flimsy energy she had starts to become purer and she can now use all elements instead of just one. All that useless energy she had from elements she couldn't use, start to help her body.
I just smile. we treat people who treat us well, even better. I mean sure her clan sent her here when she was young to find something. But she never really did instead she mostly acted like a little girl was supposed to. And who would guess she would fall in love with a young master from the Xiao clan.
Certainly not her clansmen. Lol.
