After reassuring the small rabbit girl and introducing her to all the new people it was time to get down to business.
Grandmaster pulled out a book filled with spirit beasts he thought would be good for me to use. Last night he had redone it adding a few more notes. There were all kinds of different choices. From spiders to snakes, to even some odd looking fungal plants.
"So to speak, when obtaining spirit rings in the future, as far as possible obtain spirit rings with similar abilities. Not necessarily completely the same, but a similar general direction, in order to avoid spirit rings conflicting with each other and instead restricting its power situation."
Speaking of this, on Grandmaster's face appeared a trace of a grim smile."Very many people all think blue silver grass is a useless spirit, but as a result of my many years of research, I believe blue silver grass similarly has its own purpose. If blue silver grass was not too small and weak at the time of awakening spirit power, even becoming a battle spirit is definitely is not impossible."
My blue silver grass can manifest itself up to 120 meters and form itself into ropes or chains currently that's all it can do. I male a couple sprout on the table and do a few tests it's smooth but it still feels like grass and has the same strength as corded grass it can be torn apart with a bit of strenght.
"Teacher, you are the spirit research Grandmaster, since you have researched blue silver grass in this way, then please give me some pointers."
When speaking of spirits, Grandmaster's mood clearly became excited. Slowly nodding, he said:
"On the basis of my analysis of the concept and the blue silver grass research, I suggest that you cultivate your spirit in the control system direction in the future. Control system masters can be said to be battle spirit masters, they can also be said to be tool spirit masters. They themselves freely waver between the two categories."
"Control system?"
Grandmaster said "What we call control system refers to relying on one's own spirit to restrict the opponent, with the goal of assisting an attack. For example, take your blue silver grass. Although blue silver grass is inherently small and weak, it is not without advantages."
Grandmaster raised his right hand, extending one finger, and said."First of all, the spirit power consumption of using blue silver grass is considerably small, compared to food system spirits the consumption will still be smaller. This means you can depend on its great quantity of spirit power to use it."
When using blue silver grass the spirit power consumption could practically be neglected. With my massive reserves I could probably force it out thousands of meters before feeling any kind of significant drain.
Grandmaster also extended a second finger,
"Next, blue silver grass is common grass found everywhere, therefore, its confusing nature will be much greater when compared to other spirits, especially to those low intelligence common spirit beasts that eat it. Even if you call out your spirit next to them, they may not be able to notice it could be used at one of the best assassination or surprise attack tools in certain situations."
Extending a third finger, "Third, blue silver grass can grow in boundless ways. Because it's in itself low-end, it can conduct growth in many directions, and since blue silver grass is in itself small and weak, it cannot reject any spirit ring attribute evolution."
"Spirits can still reject spirit ring evolution?"
Grandmaster said."Of course. If the spirit itself conflicts with the spirit ring attribute, when looking to add spirit rings to the spirit, it can cause a rejection phenomenon. For example, for spirit beasts it is very difficult to add spirit rings that possess poison. Although the spirit can have a body, so to speak. While it is also a living body, it is another kind of manifestation of the host's life. If a poison spirit ring is forced on it, they probably will be poisoned first. Among beast spirits only a few have the ability to assimilate poison and not transfer it to the host. But blue silver grass is different, it is in itself a plant, and small and weak. Things like absorbing poison is not the least bit difficult."
Speaking, he again raised a fourth finger "In your body, there still is a fourth advantage, precisely that innate full spirit power. On our Douluo Continent the reason why not one formidable blue silver grass spirit master has appeared, the chief cause is just that after awakening blue silver grass spirit the spirit power attached to the host is truly too small. And innate spirit power has a direct ratio to acquired spirit power cultivation speed. When innate spirit power is too small and weak, it's very difficult to cultivate to even higher levels, and at the later stage of cultivation, hunting and killing a spirit beast is also an even more difficult task. But you are different, you have innate full spirit power. Regardless of whether this spirit power was granted by blue silver grass or your other hammer spirit, neither influences your bringing it to use on blue silver grass. Therefore, from your point of view there are absolutely no disadvantages to cultivating blue silver grass."
These are all very well thought out points.
"Your blue silver grass is also a mutation it appears much stronger and has increased range than the usual spirit grass." he continues giving some small tugs on the grassy table. "The usual grass can only extend about 10 meters and form very basic ropes. but that would be if they had full in ate power like you. Most people can barely get it a meter away."
"Now from my research the best path is either through poison or binding as I've pointed out in my notes." He pointed towards the book describing what kind of effects he would have on.
After flipping through the book I notice a certain monster that has only one ability and isn't thought highly of. I give a big smile.
"I've made my choice and good news is we won't even have to go out of the city for it." I tell the excited grandmaster.
He looks at me in confusion as I point at the creature on the page. "Why that one it only has at single ability and it's not very useful." he says with concern.
I chuckle before leaning over and whispering some words to him as his eyes widen in shock. "Genius how come I never thought about that? This could revolutionize how blue silver grass is used and seen even the weak can get this spirit."
He's practically bouncing in glee at the discovery. I pat him on the shoulder and we quickly head out of the trunk making our way towards the business center of the city.
Grandmaster is still going on about how to publish this is everything goes well.
We find exactly what we are looking for in a commoners section used for foods plants and animals.
I quickly browse around finding exactly what I need and buying out the lot along with a few others I put all of the new animals and plants except the one I need inside the kingdom. I also bought some things like spirit chickens and other basic foods as they are more nutritious and upgrade the kingdom plants and animals.
making our way back to the school and into my trunk grandmaster asks me a few questions in worry as I had gotten one that was older that what he advises. I reassure him that it will be fine with my devour ability and I doubt there's anything that can give me enough soul shock to kill me.
I would have gotten a bigger one but 1000 years old was the highest I could find in the city.
Setting the item on the table I take a step back and look at it.
Spirit plant 1000 year old spirit bamboo often used to plant around houses to keep insect away only has a single ability and that's happens to be Harden, often used to protect itself from being eaten by herbivore animals.
now most people would just kill the poor fellow however I have a better idea as I set mother plant in front of the bamboo and explain my idea they begin to have a conversation through rattling. Soon after a deal is struck.
A spirit beast can freely give away it's spirit ring this would often result in a freely given spirit bone if they were much older than 1000 years lower than that is pretty rare. I have zero expectations for one.
Soon a purple spirit ring is pushed out and I happily absorb it into my blue silver grass.
With zero difficulties I now have my first spirit ring a purple 1000 year old spirit ring with the ability to harden.
Grandmaster is eagerly awaiting for me to test it out. let's not keep him waiting. a thick vine slides out from under my wrist and I swing it with a resounding snap it cracks with whip like force. soon it straightens out and I swing it around like a bow staff making knocking noises on the floor I sharpen up the tip and now I have a spear.
Grandmaster is thrilled. But I'm not down yet soon blue silver grass spreads out on the floor around me and sharp spikes of grass shoot up impaling the air. but I can still make it move and with like proper rope and grass.
"It would be pretty useless control if everyone could just easily tear their way out of it and now I can use the hardened form for spikes and weapons." I say poking the sharp bladed tip of the grass.
"I wonder." I make a bow shaped vine with half of it being stringy and make myself a arrow shaped vine. it takes a few tries but eventually. *Twang* the bluegrass arrow fires off perfectly.
Grandmaster is hastily writing notes and mumbling like a mad scientist with a few evil cackles here and there. Geniuses can truly be scary.
