Iris pov
Cheering with the other Gryffindor students as the Quidditch match. The rain was dreadful but it made for some interesting plays. I just hope none of my boys get hurt. I thought watching Fred knock someone to George. They almost fell off their broom but then I lost sight of Harry. This is when I started to panic. I saw the shadows in the clouds. "Dementors here why?" I asked before casting my patronus "Expecto Patronum!" I yelled as my Thestral deflected Dementors that flew into the area. My father's doe did the same. We shared a glance he smirks before winking at me. "Everyone needs to return to the castle! The match is over move quickly!" I yelled at students that started to run. "I'M HEAD BOY SO I GIVE THE ORDERS SNAPE!" Percy yells making me glare at him. "I DON'T GIVE A RATS ASS WHAT YOU ARE! GET EVERYONE IN THE FUCKING CASTLE!" I yelled making him nod. Everyone was existing the arena when Harry started to plummet to the ground. My heart stopped as the air caught in my throat. I knew the spell to cast but I was shocked. Dumbledore cast the spell making Harry decent to the ground a bit softer. I found myself running to the Hospital wing of the castle. The students got in my way were moved. I didn't care about fucking rules or lessons at the moment. I wanted to make sure my brother was ok. Madam Pomfrey would not let me back to see Harry because he was being worked on. "What do you mean being worked on?" I asked surprised. "He has some broken bones needs a blood transformation and a concussion." She said before pushing me out the room. I paced outside the infirmary waiting to be let in. "Iris love you need to calm down he is in good hands." Fred said stepping forward. I side eye him making him back up. "Sunflower we know your scared and worried. You just need to trust Madam Pomfrey she is good at her job." George said gently before pulling me into his arms. I walked to the common room with them sitting in a comfy chair. This was agony my brother is in med wing and I am just sitting here. Two hours pass and I received the all clear to see him.
He looks a bit peaky, doesn't he? Ron asked looking over Harry."Peaky? What do you expect? He fell over hundred feet." Fred said nudging Ron "Let's walk you off a tower and see what you look like." George said glaring at Ron. "Probably a right sight better than he normally does." Harry jokes making me feel slightly better. "How are you feeling?" Harmonie asked Shadow placed a hand on her shoulder. "Oh, brilliant." Harry said trying to sit up "You gave us a right good scare." The twins said "What happened?" Harry asked looking around at us. "Well, you fell off your broom." Ron said "Really? I meant the match. Who won?" He asked freaking out. "No one blames you, Harry." Harmonie said standing up going to Shadows's side. "Dementors aren't supposed to be on the grounds. Dumbledore's furious. After he saved you, Iris and Professor Snape scared them off." Shadow said making Harry look at me. "Your my baby brother Harry. I will take on you know who for you." I said making him chuckle. "There's something else you should know too. When you fell, your broom sort of blew into the Whomping Willow, and... Well..." Ron said showing Harry his broken broom. It was in splinters I guess he can use mine for matches then. Madam Pomfrey asked us to leave. She said Harry will be at dinner later and we should head to lessons.
Harry pov
I was walking around the woods with Professor Lupin.
"I'm sorry to hear about your broomstick. Is there no chance of fixing it?" He asked me." No. Professor Iris is lending me hers. Professor why do the dementors affect me so? - I mean, more than everyone else?" I said he looked at me for a moment "Listen. Dementors are the foulest creatures to walk this earth. They feed on every good feeling, every happy memory... ...until a person is left with absolutely nothing but his worst experiences. You are not weak, Harry. Dementors affect you most because there are true horrors in your past. Horrors your classmates can scarcely imagine. You have nothing to be ashamed of." He said looking out over the lake."I'm scared, professor." I said watching the sky." I'd consider you a fool if you weren't." He said making me look at him. "I need to know how to fight them. You could teach me. You made the one on the train go away." I said praying he would. "There was only one that night." He said out of breath. "But you made it go away." I tried again and he sighs "I don't pretend to be an expert, Harry. But as the dementors seem to have developed an interest in you... ...perhaps I should teach you. But after the holidays. For now, I need to rest." He said watching owls fly.
