Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Magic Exists...

I boot up my conscience and find myself off course... Again... Hina is gonna kill me... Today she finally will let me interact with my inhabitants as it seems I was only in the command area (bit at front in image) of the colony at first though I did not realise I was 3x bigger than I previously thought... And that security protocols didn't actually control where I could access but how I could access and use them. it was kinda like a containment room to me and could now access everything in Terran.

In an attempt to save myself from a severe scalding from Hina I quickly re-adjust my thruster output to adjust my course and match it to that of the inputted course data... Not that I even know where its taking us, I probably should ask Hina that. I proceed to find Hina preparing to meet those who reside in me... Sounds weird when you say that way huh? She was waiting for me in the main staff cafeteria. I decided to do a little prank on my innocent commander.

"Hi" I greeted her out of no where whilst she was about to eat her burrito. She instinctively shot her head around looking for the owner of the voice only to remember it was me.

"Don't scare me like that!" she yelled.

so worth it

"It's time you met the residents be careful and do as I say. We need be careful of whom we tell of your... Uniqueness" she explains.

"Sure sure I'll be a good AI" I mocked.

Glaring at one of the cameras she pouts and gives up sighing " just follow me and behave!" she said and began walking away without awaiting for any form of confirmation from me. I followed closely anyway and was soon met by a sight that genuinely bewildered me. It was immense in size grasslands and tress and a star? I had a star as a sun inside me? Awesome! But how come I knew nothing of this? Was my 'omniscient' knowledge of the 'entire ship' actually a small percentage of it? And how was I even here? There was no cameras nor any kind of technology here at all... Strange.

"Ummm what is this place?" I asked.

[Hina's POV:]

"You don't know?" *sigh* 'of course he doesn't his old servers are wiped as well as the memory data from the newer ones ughhh'  "this is Terran. Well the colonial part that is. It is where all your residents reside. Here it has the exact same composition as on earth; same gas amount, soil to rock radio, solar and heat radiation, mana concentration the full works"

He thought about this for a moment before bursting out a "Whaaaattttt?!?"

"what's wrong with you?" I queried.

"Di.. Did you just say mana? As in magic and stuff?" he sounded shocked.

"magic? I never heard of that but we yes mana how would we use mana manipulation without systems keeping mana regulated?" I said.

He didn't respond.

"Err Tadashi? You still here?" I asked

"Ye... Yes I'm here but really Mag... Mana manipulation actually exists? Your serious?" he questioned

'does he really believe mana manipulation doesn't exist? But its common knowledge why wouldn't he know?'

As if answering my question he began to speak of how where he came from mana manipulation was but a fantasy concept called magic that didn't exist. This shocked me. He came from somewhere? He wasn't 'born' here but transferred here, but from where?... I realise I know very little of him and that can be dangerous in times of stress and trust; I guess ill have to find out more about him.

"Yes Tadashi mana manipulation does exist it's common knowledge here even children can cause what it's actual name is mana manipulation; though they use mainly illusion types

Tadashi Pov:

I can't believe magic is real! well mana manipulation... I wonder if it's the same. am I going to be able to use magic?!? Wait can a CBS (colonial battleship) AI even use magic? I better ask.

"Um Hina?"

"Yes?" she replied

"Am I able to use mana manipulation?

[Hina POV:]

... He thinks he can't use mana manipulation... Wow. Anyone with brains would figure that if your able to produce and process mana to specific attributes then you would be able to make use of it.... Wait he might have a point before B692 did't actually use mana itself we never really fought anyone since we commandeered this BCS.. I'm sure he can though.

"why don't you try?" I asked quickly realising he'd have no clue where to even begin. "Right. you don't know. lets see access your mana manipulation server and search up a simple vegetation growth program" he seemed fairly confused by my words but seems to comply anyway, he can't use the same spells we do as we use our soul to do so. he, being an AI, hasn't got a soul that what the program is for it handles the manipulation part that our soul would do.... what the heck?!?

Randomly he says something in a vaguely familiar language and the fern just shoots up.. the program doesn't use incantations and takes quite some time to process I finally realise the language he just spoke...

"Did you just speak draconian?" I asked

[Tadashi's Pov:]

whats the point in using this program? its effective due to looping capabilities but long to boot up, can't I just invoke the spell by saying it?

{temep edarok oontanx} [A/N I got this from some draconian translate site lol]

As I said this a small fern grew fast twirling and elongating until in the smalls ferns place stood a fully grown giant tree of species I honestly couldn't tell you. Hina simply stared at me mouth open in thought until she asked "did you just speak draconian?" the shock plastered on her face. whats draconian? wait do dragons exist as well? this is a full on fantasy world! awesomeness. I probably should ask what draconian is..

"What is draconian? I'm guessing the language of the dragons?" I queried she responded almost immediately saying "The language of ancient mana manipulation originally from the first continent called Pangaea when dragons roamed and was the dominant species; they devised strong words and phrases that could, with the assistance of mana, alter certain universal rules and thus granted them the ability to do the extraordinary. Their language was lost once the meteor wiped them out. only a few in their bloodline can speak it and it is almost impossible to learn I know cause I tried... and failed..." she went on for a long time about dragon history quite enjoying her little education session whilst I was filling database after database with what I should've just recorded... oh well...

"OK I get that it's draconian and ancient but how did I speak it?" I asked her she thought for a moment before saying "I have absolutely no clue" she said it in such away that somehow made her look cute? Can a AI even see something as cute? No matter "So I can use ancient mag.." "mana manipulation. Say the correct term" She interrupted again in an oddly cute way again.. "yeah that..." she sighed "yes it seems you somehow can.. Anyway let's get to the actual real reason we're here. Meeting the citizens" she was obviously annoyed by our delay so I merely acknowledged her and followed her toward the city. Wait I have a city inside me? This gets weirder by the Chap... I mean day...
